Looking at the [Pal Sphere] stuck at "52%... 52%..." and refusing to rise, Luca was in a bind.
Is this the cap?
If it were stuck at 60-70%, Luca wouldn't hesitate to throw it.
But "52%"... basically a coin toss...
Luca wanted to give the guy on the ground a few more stabs, but he was afraid of killing him.
He wasn't worried about The Spot dying inside the sphere—Pokéball-like items usually put the occupant in stasis.
But if he stabbed him to death before capture, he couldn't catch a corpse.
Plus, the white space was shaking more violently. He decided to stop hesitating.
Although this sphere is rare, it's just a trash-tier sphere. Catching stronger guys would probably have an even lower rate. 50% is decent!
With that thought, Luca threw the [Pal Sphere].
The blue-and-gold sphere arced through the air and hit the bloodied Spot.
It suddenly enlarged, bounced up, and split into two halves.
The Spot on the ground turned into a stream of light and was sucked into the sphere.
The blue [Pal Sphere] shook slightly in mid-air. The "52%" instantly jumped to "85%".
Another shake...
This time, it wasn't the sphere shaking, but the entire space.
Luca's vision went white.
BOOM.
With a loud bang, he was blasted into the air.
As the white light faded...
Looking around, he saw all the debris that had been sucked into The Spot's dimension.
Mostly building rubble, broken cars, and billboards, spewing out alongside him.
Sharp-eyed Luca even spotted...
Tony's Veronica armor, also ejected from the black hole, holding Captain America in its arms.
Steve was banging his vibranium shield against Veronica's chest armor with a CLANG CLANG CLANG.
Clearly, he hadn't recovered from the mind control.
But Luca had no time to watch their bromance drama. He locked onto the [Pal Sphere] floating in front of him, which now read "100%", and grabbed it.
"Gotcha!"
No time to check The Spot's condition inside. Luca kicked off a piece of ejecting debris.
Changing direction in mid-air, he smoothly dove back into the [Boxer Mech] with the sphere.
More debris smashed against the Boxer's outer armor, but it posed no threat to Luca anymore.
"Tony, how are the others!"
Back in the pilot seat, Luca contacted Tony immediately. But the reply didn't come from Stark (who was getting shield-bashed in the face).
"Ms. Gwen and Agent Romanoff have been successfully restrained..."
Hakimi projected two feeds in front of Luca.
Erha and Fifth Haro were holding onto the struggling Natasha and Gwen, flying into the sky.
Erha holding Natasha was fine. But Fifth Haro was struggling with Gwen, who was thrashing with superhuman strength, nearly breaking the mech's grip. Who knew how long it could hold?
As for the other two...
Before Hakimi could report.
"ROAR."
With a furious bellow, the green Hulk leaped off the falling debris and slammed straight into the [Boxer Mech].
THUD.
The massive impact sent the Boxer, which was preparing to land, flying.
Thanks to the E-Carbon's durability, it was knocked back instead of pierced through.
Even so, Luca felt a violent tremor in the cockpit.
Enduring the shaking, Luca controlled the mech to raise its arm at the pursuing Hulk.
POOF~
A black ball shot from the mech's palm.
It wasn't a missile or energy blast.
It exploded in mid-air, expanding into a massive black net that enveloped Hulk completely.
Hulk wasn't having it.
He roared and tried to tear the net apart.
But no matter how he struggled or pulled, even swelling up further in anger, the black net refused to break.
Instead, the more he struggled, the tighter it got. Unable to leverage a jump, Hulk began to fall toward the ground.
"Heh heh~ Puny Hulk, trying to challenge Detective Conan Science~?"
Yes, this black net looked simple, but it was woven using the [Elastic Suspenders] technology from the Conan world.
As mentioned before, the [Boxer Mech] could inherit "conceptual effects" from other items.
Luca's testing confirmed the weapon system could too.
Originally, this net was designed for Tony's Veronica armor. A single strand of the Elastic Suspenders could hold up a falling Ferris wheel.
A net woven from hundreds of strands? Even if Veronica detached its limbs, it would just get tangled into a ball.
Using it on Hulk, a brute force fighter with limited brainpower, was even more effective.
Just as Luca neutralized the berserk Hulk and crashed to the ground amidst the raining debris...
A black shadow darted out from a corner.
"Another one?!"
Luca cursed silently but raised the mech's arm.
However, before he could show off more weird weapons, the shadow stopped and shouted in a hoarse voice.
"Hey~ Metal Knight! I can control Harry's body! Don't shoot!"
To prove his point, Venom retracted from Harry Osborn's face.
The result was striking: the usually gentle Harry, free from Venom's control, had a savage expression and tried to bite Venom.
Meanwhile, the grotesque Venom head on his shoulder exuded a calm aura.
"Uh-huh~ See? It's just negative emotion control from Mr. Negative. My previous hosts were way crazier than Harry right now."
"Wait, Harry's waking up. Let him talk to you."
