That's right, Luca coveted the shares of Aurantius Industries currently held by Kingpin.
After all, it was technically "family property." If he didn't grab it now, once Tony Stark sent Kingpin to prison, these shares would most likely be returned to the families of the two deceased shareholders.
However, the methods Luca needed to use to obtain these shares were destined to be less than honorable, making it inappropriate to involve Tony Stark.
But dealing with Kingpin myself... the difficulty seems a bit excessive.
Even though Kingpin was currently just an underworld boss hunkered down in Hell's Kitchen, the power he wielded was far beyond that of ordinary gangs.
Setting aside his countless subordinates, Kingpin's own terrifying strength, which surpassed ordinary humans, was probably not something Luca could handle right now.
Do I really have to ask Tony Stark for help?
If I do that, not only will I lose the shares, but him going to prison will definitely create a pile of trouble for me later!
Just as Luca was secretly conflicted...
Shamila suddenly picked up her phone. After reading a text message, she immediately reported to Luca beside her.
"Master Luca, Shield Mountain sent a message. Their squad has arrived in New York."
Hearing this, Luca was delighted and asked immediately.
"When can they get here?"
"I've sent them our location. They should arrive in thirty minutes," Shamila replied quickly.
"Alright, I'll wait for them here. Also, eliminate the other people in this warehouse."
Shamila didn't hesitate. She turned and walked out the door.
After a few barely audible silenced gunshots, the warehouse fell silent again.
Twenty-five minutes later.
An ordinary-looking TV station mobile news van slowly drove into the warehouse pier.
After the vehicle stopped, the driver in the front seat quickly got out.
However, when he opened the rear door of the van, it wasn't reporters carrying cameras who stepped out, but four fully armed elite special forces soldiers.
Simultaneously, Shamila and Luca walked out of the warehouse with Baymax.
...
"Master, let me introduce you."
Shamila gestured to the leading man, a capable-looking individual with a crew cut and determined eyes.
"This is Marko Rakic, captain of the Turn A Squad, nickname Shield Mountain. He is the most comprehensive special ops soldier I have ever seen. Since serving in Sokovia, he has experienced no fewer than a hundred battles, big and small."
"Master Luca!" The man nicknamed 'Shield Mountain' bowed respectfully to Luca, his eyes revealing no emotion.
"This is Green Bull, the squad's assaulter..."
A burly man with dyed green hair patted the rifle in his hand and grinned at Luca, revealing a mouthful of crooked yellow teeth.
"This is Longbow, the squad's sniper..."
A silent man carrying a sniper rifle on his back, with a distinct scar under his left eye, nodded slightly to Luca.
"This is Thresh, the squad's gunner..."
A bald middle-aged man with a broken medal hanging around his neck instinctively raised his hand to shake Luca's, but halfway through, he awkwardly retracted it and simply nodded stiffly.
"And finally, this is Wrench, the squad's technical support. He excels in information warfare, electronic equipment modification, weapon repair, and communication setup."
The last of the five, who was also the driver and the only blonde young man not fully armed, didn't greet Luca like the others after hearing Shamila's introduction. Instead, he looked excitedly at Baymax behind Luca and couldn't wait to ask.
"Master Luca, is this the company's latest product? A combat robot? Is it controlled by AI or manual control? Standing so steadily, is it a new posture balance system? What's the power source?"
A string of questions flew from his mouth like a machine gun, making the already awkward atmosphere of the first meeting... even more awkward.
Shield Mountain couldn't hold his expression anymore. He scolded Wrench, who was practically leaning into Baymax wanting to touch it, in a stern tone.
"Wrench! Get back! Don't be rude in front of Master Luca!"
At this shout, the lively Wrench froze in his tracks, as if immobilized.
His posture, neither advancing nor retreating, with his arm still outstretched, looked even weirder than before.
However, witnessing this scene, Luca, who had remained silent, secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Although Shamila had assured him that he could trust this squad absolutely, they had never met before. Given his current age, Luca still harbored a sliver of worry.
Especially since the squad captain, Shield Mountain, had remained expressionless since meeting, seemingly adopting a strictly business attitude, making it hard for Luca to gauge his thoughts.
But when Shield Mountain actively intervened to stop the young technician Wrench's outburst...
It made Luca realize that at least the captain didn't harbor any obvious dissatisfaction towards him. As for their deeper attitudes, that could only be judged accurately after more interaction.
So, Luca put on a friendly smile and waved his hand magnanimously.
"It's fine, go ahead and take a look. This is an intelligent robot I made myself. You can call it Baymax."
Since they were his subordinates and Baymax contained the full production process, Luca didn't blink an eye while boasting.
Hearing Luca's words, Baymax cooperated by raising its right hand in greeting.
"Hello, I am Agent Baymax, your personal healthcare companion." (▇━▇)
"???"
Wrench, who had excitedly leaned in close to Baymax, was suddenly full of question marks.
"Agent? Healthcare? Master Luca, is there a coding error in your program..."
"Wrench!!"
Shield Mountain shouted sharply, interrupting Wrench. Then he turned to Luca and bowed again.
"Apologies, Master Luca. Wrench is young... his personality is a bit too lively. It was truly disrespectful."
Shield Mountain had intended to say "Wrench is still young," but after seeing Luca's youthful yet composed demeanor, and then looking at Wrench, he couldn't bring himself to say it.
Luca simply waved his hand again.
"It's nothing. Wrench can get to know Baymax properly when there's time later. But for now, I assume Shamila has already briefed you on the upcoming mission?"
At the mention of "mission," the somewhat relaxed atmosphere changed instantly.
"We understand the general mission. Please give us further instructions, Master!" Shield Mountain stood firm, his expression returning to its previous determination.
Even Wrench, who was smiling just a moment ago, stood up straight immediately, looking at Luca seriously and waiting for orders.
Watching this scene, Luca revealed a satisfied smile.
Seems like a pretty good squad indeed~
