Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 First Soul Skill

"You can choose to fuse your soul spirit here, or take it home, but you must complete it within twenty-four hours, otherwise the soul spirit will die," the young spirit master said to Lin Xuan.

  "I'll fuse it here!"

Lin Xuan thought for a moment and decided it was safer at the Spirit Pagoda.

Although soul spirit-related technology had matured over the years, and the possibility of an accident was less than one in a billion, the Spirit Pagoda's after-sales service was still worthwhile.

  "Alright!"

The young spirit master nodded, then walked to the left wall and gently tapped it. A row of wooden puppets slid out from behind the wall.

"These are test puppets. After you fuse your soul spirit, you can use them to test the abilities of your soul skill."

The young spirit master finished speaking and turned to leave, leaving Lin Xuan alone in the room.

Lin Xuan first sat cross-legged on the futon, adjusting his state before summoning his martial soul.

A hint of green appeared on the ground, and a green blade of grass rose from the ground. Lin Xuan manipulated the Green Leaf Sword Grass to reach towards the somewhat illusory green bamboo in front of him.

Seemingly sensing the presence of Lin Xuan's martial spirit, the Green Leaf Sword Bamboo emitted a bluish-white halo that intertwined with the greenish-blue radiance of the Green Leaf Sword Grass, like two intertwined stars merging together.

A faint thought traveled from the Green Leaf Sword Grass into Lin Xuan's mind—the thought of the Green Leaf Sword Bamboo. However, it was only ten years old, like a newborn infant, and this thought was so faint as to be almost inaudible.

Lin Xuan opened his heart and tried to accept it. Without the slightest resistance, the Green Leaf Sword Bamboo, like a passionate young girl, allowed Lin Xuan's thoughts to manipulate it at will.

But even if it wanted to resist, with Lin Xuan's high-level Spirit Origin Realm spiritual power, it would be like a mantis trying to stop a chariot.

At the same time, the form of the Green Leaf Sword Grass outside began to change; its originally curled leaves became straight, like sharp sword blades gleaming with a cold, cruel light.

After a long while, Lin Xuan slowly opened his eyes, a white soul ring rising behind him.

Soul fusion complete!

Lin Xuan stood up, his gaze fixed on the puppets in front of him, and pointed forward.

  "Sword Leaf Thrust!"

As his words fell, the white soul ring behind him rippled slightly, and countless green leaves surged up from the ground like earth dragons.

The tips of these green leaves gleamed with a cold light, stinging the eyes, as if the tips of the green leaves were not delicate leaves, but sharp swords that could cut through iron like mud.

  "Swish! Swish!!"

It was the muffled sound of a sharp blade entering a throat. The sharp green leaves penetrated the puppets without resistance, easily severing them. The row of seven or eight puppets was like being thrown into a meat grinder, scattered in pieces all over the ground.

"If they were human, they would probably be dead beyond dead."

Lin Xuan picked up a piece of puppet fragment from the ground. The cut on it was as smooth as jade, making it impossible to believe that it was cut by grass.

After fusing with the spirit, the sharpness of the Green Leaf Sword Grass exceeded his expectations. Let alone a puppet, even some weaker metals would likely be unable to withstand it.

The first spirit skill this spirit ring granted him was a thrust.

When he activated this skill, the tip of the Green Leaf Sword Grass became exceptionally hard, and combined with the grass's inherent sharpness, the combined effect greatly increased the skill's power.

He roughly estimated that, in terms of damage alone, this skill wouldn't be inferior to some weaker hundred-year spirit rings.

After leaving the Spirit Pagoda, Lin Xuan looked at the bright sun in the sky, humming a little tune as he walked home.

Lin Xuan was in a good mood. Although the white spirit spirit only granted him one level of spirit power for his breakthrough, he was very satisfied with this first spirit skill.

If it were a hundred-year spirit spirit, he might have shaken his head, but this was only a ten-year spirit spirit; he could only say, "It's really good!"

Talking about quality without considering price is just being dishonest!

"Hehe! You little brat, I finally caught you this time."

As Lin Xuan passed through a secluded residential area, a familiar voice rang out.

  "That blond guy?"

Lin Xuan raised an eyebrow, looking at the group of people in the corner.

These were the thugs who had been beaten up by Na'er half a year ago and fled in disarray.

"They really don't learn their lesson, bullying people here again."

Lin Xuan shook his head, hesitating slightly whether to get involved, but the next moment a weak and helpless voice came from within the group, making him abandon the idea.

"Let go! Don't take my things! I don't know you."

You'll never believe why I moved to… Karachi

Surrounded by several thugs, a silver-haired little girl huddled in a corner, clutching a snakeskin bag tightly, and said pitifully,

"Don't recognize me? Hahaha, you don't recognize me, but I, your grandpa, certainly do.

Today we can get to know each other properly."

The blond-haired thug sneered, his fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles cracked.

Although he didn't know what was wrong with this brat's head, it wouldn't stop him from getting revenge; otherwise, all his time staking out this spot would have been for nothing.

This time, he was well-prepared!

"Go! Hurry up and get her!"

The blond-haired thug kicked a few of the men beside him, urging them to move forward.

The other thugs exchanged glances and then raised their wooden sticks, aiming at Na'er.

In an instant, seven or eight wooden sticks the size of bowls came crashing down on Na'er's petite body.

"Brother, I'm sorry, Na'er shouldn't have disobeyed."

Tears welled up in Na'er's eyes, and she felt extremely guilty. Lin Xuan had told her so many times, but she hadn't listened and had run all this way.

If she died, her brother would probably be very sad.

Na'er closed her eyes in fear, a sudden thought flashing through her mind.

For Na'er, who had lost her memory, she was utterly powerless to resist. If these blows landed squarely, she'd be bedridden for days.

"Damn it! Get lost!"

Just then, a roar echoed through the alley.

Before the group could react, Lin Xuan pounced like a cheetah. He leaped into the air, delivering a flying kick that sent the thugs around Na'er flying, clubs and all.

"Na'er, it's alright! Brother's here!" Lin Xuan picked Na'er up and gently patted her back.

"Brother! Waaah... Na'er thought she'd never see brother again. It was Na'er's fault for being disobedient; Na'er won't do it again."

Na'er opened her eyes, saw the familiar face, and buried her face in Lin Xuan's chest, bursting into tears.

"Oh! A hero saving a damsel in distress, huh? You brat, are you all grown up yet?"   The blond-haired man standing nearby stepped forward, looking at Lin Xuan with a disdainful smile.

"Boss, you have to stand up for us!"

"Yeah, yeah! That kick hurt like hell!"

"Big brother, be careful, this kid's got some weird tendencies."

Several thugs on the ground immediately got up, clutching their butts, and surrounded the blond-haired guy.

"No problem! No matter what, the advantage is in my hands!"

The blond-haired guy waved his hand confidently at his underlings' warning.   "If it were me six months ago, I might have run away in panic, but I'm a Soul Master now!"

"Kid! Arrogant!"

The blond-haired guy's eyes suddenly widened, and he roared at Lin Xuan.

"Martial Soul Possession! Blood Bear!"

The blond-haired guy's body suddenly swelled up, covered by thick fur, making him look like a primordial beast from the jungle.

"First Soul Skill, Blood Bear Claw!"

The white soul ring behind the blond-haired guy moved slightly, and his right hand was surrounded by blood, instantly transforming into a blood-red bear claw.

He raised this giant blood-red claw and charged towards Lin Xuan menacingly.    Please vote! This is a new, fledgling book that needs your support.
