Chapter 3
"Boss! We have to move to another place as soon as possible!" Pasin informed his boss.
"I know, Pasin. I've already found a place: Raven Alley, a nice location near a middle-class colony," Jinman said.
"But Jinman, that sounds like a too-local colony; do you think we can live with them?"
"Our mission has nothing to do with religion, Pasin. Just because we differ in religion doesn't mean we can't talk to them. Never bring this topic up again in front of me." Jinman hated explaining himself, but Pasin was his right-hand man and only true friend.
So, he had the right to know what was going on. Aside from Pasin, Jinman never listened to anyone else, not even his younger sister. Their childhood had been rough and cast with poverty.
He worked very hard the moment he entered the criminal world. He worked so hard that he was now termed one of the most feared and richest criminals in the country.
His painful, rough past had fueled an addiction to taking whatever he desired, driving him to any extreme length to secure his wants.
His sole driving force was power and nothing else. This desperate hunger left him blind to everything else.
The only women Jinman had ever known were his mother and sister. Because he lacked experience with women, he genuinely didn't know how to treat them, leading people to say he had no respect for them but in reality he knew not a thing about women,so how was he supposed to treat them?. His sister believed he would learn with time and didn't offer advice, trusting that he adored her and would fulfill all her wishes.
But the one thing he did was keep her hidden from his dirty world to protect her. His sister loved him dearly, even though she despised his way of living, but she was very much aware of the reason behind why he had become the man he was.
"So where is the report of that asshole who has refused to settle the payment?" he asked.
"It will be here soon,Jinman" Pasin replied.
Pasin addressed Jinman according to his mood. He knew Jinman hated being called by his name, he considered it as challenging him; he only gave that right to his sister. Pasin called him "Boss" when they meant business, "Sir" when Jinman was angry or upset, and "Jinman" when the boss was in his normal mood.
A few minutes later:
"Jinman, the report has arrived," Pasin said.
"Go on!" Jinman asked, keeping a pen against his lips and eyes closed.
"He is 47 years old, has a wife, three daughters, and a son. He is too indebted to pay us. We already gave him sixteen months—more than the maturity date—but he keeps saying he still needs more time. That's why we brought his case to you."
"I think I'll have to pay him a visit, then. Where does he stay?" Jinman asked, looking at him.
"Boss, it states here that he lives in Kalyndor. That's terrible, isn't it?" He smiled.
"Of course it is. Let's go, then. Our things will be shifted there in a few days. I need to personally go and visit Cielo. I hope the arrangements are made exactly as I asked you to."
"Cielo?" Pasin asked.
"The villa I bought," Jinman answered.
"But Boss, we are only staying there for a couple of months, right? So why did you buy a whole villa there?"
"What do you mean by that? Do you expect me to stay in a two-room apartment? I haven't made this much wealth just to stay in an apartment. Now, would you please mind not asking me any more questions!" Jinman said, his voice laced with irritation.
"Yes, Sir." "When do you plan to visit him?" Pasin asked.
"Tomorrow, we have to make it quite so he doesn't escape, and get the pistols order. Arrange for new men to patrol near the villa and keep my reason for moving there a secret. No one should know about it,
"Yes Boss."
After a while , Jinman went downstairs. He told the driver to take them to the Cielo his new villa. A signal made them stop ; their car was the first on the lane.
Jinman looked out the window and saw a woman playing with the dogs. The sun shone perfectly on her beautiful body. She has long hair and petite height, the dogs seemed to really like her ,and she seems to like dogs, just like himself,he has two German shepherds . All the women he knew, even his sister were terribly afraid of dogs. But here, this woman playing as if they were her babies, fearless.
He saw her smile at them and realized a rare, brief smile touched his face, a smile that belonged only to his sister.
No other person had made him smile aside his sister.
He's a coldman,he was regarded as an emotionless person who never cared for anyone. But deep down he was just a normal person, the only thing is ,nobody has dared to bring that soft part of him out.
Seeing this young woman so happy made him want to touch her that instant. He saw her through his tinted car window.
The red light turned green. As the traffic began to move, the driver started the car, but Jinman stopped him.
"Is something wrong?"Pasín asked, getting anxious. He always enjoyed Jinman like a father, brother, and a friend, but knew he could do anything for him, even kill or get killed.
"No, there's nothing wrong, just wait for a while here!" Jinman replied in his deep voice .
He was amazed by this girl; she had reached deep into his heart. How could a fragile girl like her bring such a feeling to him?
The cars behind them started honking for them to move. The driver looked at Jinman for a go-ahead, but he saw nothing. The driver knew he loved his life anyway.
Jinman never thought twice about killing someone;if they were found guilty, insulting or questioning him was a "dart of crime" according to his own rules.
Jinman saw the girl turn around after hearing the sound of the horn and his junior went crazy .
This was one thing that never happened to him before. No woman had ever made him get aroused, especially by their mere presence.
The sound of the horn increased. He saw the girl looking straight towards him in his car, but she shrugged and turned toward the dog. She looked at him through the tinted window. It was obvious that she couldn't see him, but he could see her heart skip a beat.
The horn was blowing furiously now. Jinman turned to the driver and motioned for him to drive.
"If only I could see her a little longer," he thought, his eyes never moving from the review mirror until her image became too small to be visible.
Pasín noticed Jinman was quiet and restless throughout the drive.
"Anything bothering you, Jinman?"
"Yes, when I'm done with that old man, I have another job for you."
"You can tell me now, and I'll start right away!"
"Not now, first we finish with the old man."
"Does that have to do with the girl?" Pasín asked.
Jinman looked at Pasin and thought for a while. It was definitely safe to tell him. After a while, he looked at him and replied, "Yes, I need to find out about her."
"Okay, boss,"Pasin said and smiled. He could tell at that moment his friend had finally found interest in a girl.
"But after we are done with this work at hand, I want to deal with her when I have no work pending to deal with. Got it?"
"Yes, boss," Pasín said jokingly. "By the way she looks..."
"Stop fantasizing about her. She's mine, so treat her like my woman."
"I wasn't fantasizing about her. It's crystal clear she's all yours."
"How far are we?" Jinman asked the driver.
"Almost at the villa,Sir." the driver replied
"Jinman, what if she's not a Zahranist?" (Their religion)Pasin asked, out of nowhere.
"It doesn't matter to me. What matters is whether she is a good and respectful woman or not, she looks innocent " he answered straightforwardly.
"What if she's a Bhagavati?"Pasin asked slowly.
"That's a good question,Pasin, but it still doesn't matter.He answered
