Today was the day Ian Quincy returned to the country. The family waited at the airport early in the morning.
Cherie craned her neck. "Mom, why isn't my dad here yet? When he sees me, will he not recognize me?"
"You're his daughter. How could he not recognize you?" Cecilia smiled gently.
As the mother and daughter were talking, Claire suddenly cried out, "Dad!" She sprinted in Ian's direction.
Cherie looked up, her eyes lighting up as she pumped her short little legs to run after her.
Ian recognized Cherie at a glance. She wore a light beige coat, black trousers, and little black leather shoes. Her small braid bounced from side to side as she ran. Her chubby cheeks, nose, and mouth looked exactly like Cecilia's. With fair skin tinted pink, she was delicate and beautiful.
"Dad."
