Returning to the courtyard house, the little girl dropped her schoolbag and immediately took out her textbooks to do her homework. Cecilia Adler accompanied her, reading a book of her own. The setting sun shone through the glass window, casting a quiet, beautiful glow over them.
Days passed by uneventfully, and in the blink of an eye, Cecilia's due date arrived. Her family had repeatedly tried to stop her from going to her work unit to learn how to drive. Annoyed by their constant nagging, she finally wrote a leave request for a long break to await her delivery, just for the sake of some peace and quiet.
Today, accompanied by Ian Quincy, she arrived at her workplace. It was only then that the female instructor in charge realized she was pregnant.
"Having a baby? If you hadn't told me, I never would've noticed you were pregnant. I just thought you'd gained a little winter weight!" the instructor said, utterly shocked.
