Chapter 17 - Chapter 17 Learning

Chapter 17 Learning

The Xuan Tian Bao Lu is definitely the complete version. Since Tang San chose to give it to him by Ah Yin, he basically believes that Ah Yin is Tang San's son.

Given Tang San's personality, it's unlikely he would be wary of his own child unless he suspects his identity.

If he suspected his identity, Tang San wouldn't have let Ah Yin give him the Xuan Tian Bao Lu; what if he really harmed his own son? That would be a huge loss.

"Xiao Mu, if you encounter anything urgent in the future, you can contact me in your mind, and I will come as quickly as possible."

"Okay."

Deng Mu nodded, indicating that he understood.

He felt that he only needed to focus on cultivation now; someone would arrange his godhood.

It has to be said that binding himself to Tang San first was a wise choice.

If he had bound himself to Huo Yuhao, he would only have been able to share Huo Yuhao's Spirit Eye Martial Soul; he would have to wait several more years to get his million-year soul ring.

Ah Yin looked at Deng Mu for a moment, then kissed him on the cheek.

She secretly thought, "Was Xiao San like this when he was little?"

The thought that she had never seen Xiao San as a child, and hadn't taken care of him, filled her with deep regret.

Tang Hao often told her about Xiao San, and she knew that he was very sensible and filial as a child, which made her feel very sorry for Tang San.

If she were still alive then, Tang San could have had a complete childhood.

Deng Mu said somewhat shyly, "Grandma, what's wrong? Why did you suddenly kiss me?"

This shyness wasn't feigned; being suddenly kissed by such a beautiful woman was perfectly normal.

He wasn't like those protagonists in fanfiction, with extensive practical experience and an exceptionally good wife.

He was just like most netizens, all talk and no action, with absolutely no practical experience.

Looking at the shy Deng Mu, A Yin found him incredibly cute, hugged him, and gave him a affectionate kiss.

"Is there a problem with Grandma kissing her grandson?"

"No, nothing's wrong, I'm just a little shy..."

A Yin couldn't help but laugh at Deng Mu's words, finding him truly adorable.

An idea popped into her mind, but she decided to wait until Deng Mu was older; it wasn't a good idea to leave with him now.

Deng Mu remembered something and said to A Yin, "Oh, right, Grandma, the city gates are about to close, I need to hurry back."

Hearing this, A Yin gently put Deng Mu down: "Okay, then hurry back. Be careful on your way back. I'll come visit you when I have time."

She thought to herself, maybe four times a week for her beloved grandson.

After saying goodbye to A Yin, Deng Mu ran towards the city, and A Yin watched his retreating figure until he entered the city before leaving herself.

After entering the city, Deng Mu began to ponder whether or not to show Tang Ya the complete version of the Xuan Tian Bao Lu.

He felt that if Tang Ya saw the complete version, she might not be able to accept it, as the cultivation methods their Tang Sect had always practiced had been modified.

However, upon closer reflection, it made sense; the founder of their own sect had actually held back something from his own people, which would surely chill the hearts of those who cared for the sect.

After a moment's hesitation, Deng Mu decided to show it to Tang Ya. As for how he obtained the complete Xuan Tian Bao Lu, he would tell her when she asked; he wouldn't reveal it unless she asked.

After a while, Deng Mu returned home and saw Yan Yuhua reading a book.

Most commoners in Douluo Continent were illiterate; only those who awakened their martial souls and gained soul power could learn to read and write by attending school.

Before transmigrating, he had wondered what these primary schools in Douluo Continent taught students, and only through his sister did he learn what they taught.

Primary schools taught students to read, write, history, and arithmetic, as well as some basic knowledge of soul masters, and nothing more.

He knew the characters of this world only because Yan Yuhua and Jiang Nannan taught him; otherwise, he would still be an illiterate person who couldn't recognize the characters of this world.

Deng Mu suddenly understood why Yu Xiaogang was called a master.

Although Yu Xiaogang's ten theories were nothing in the eyes of powerful forces, they were somewhat useful for commoner soul masters, though not very useful.

Knowledge about soul masters was kept very secret by various forces. Although schools taught some soul master knowledge, this knowledge was mostly peripheral; only top-tier schools taught important soul master knowledge, and even then, not much.

To learn more about Soul Master knowledge, there are only two choices: join a faction or find a powerful teacher and learn useful knowledge from them.

Yu Xiaogang combined what he learned with his own understanding and then published it. The commoner Soul Masters found it quite reasonable, and Yu Xiaogang became a master.

This explains why his teachers looked down on him at Notting Academy, but it didn't change the fact that he was a joke. The reason Yu Xiaogang is so heavily criticized online is twofold: first, he's considered a complete waste; second, his ex-girlfriend is Bibi Dong, and his wife is Liu Erlong.

Deng Mu looked at Yan Yuhua and asked, "Mom, where are my sister and Xiaoya?"

Yan Yuhua looked at the Journey to the West book in her hand and said, "They just went to take a shower. You can take a shower after they're done."

Deng Mu nodded, "Okay, I understand. I'll go back to my bedroom first."

He then walked towards his bedroom, eager to learn the material.

As Deng Mu passed by Yan Yuhua, she subconsciously sniffed him and caught a faint fragrance emanating from him.

She really liked this scent; just a whiff made her feel quite refreshed.

"Strange, where did Xiao Mu get that woman's fragrance?"

Yan Yuhua thought to herself as she watched Journey to the West.

Lately, she'd noticed something odd about Deng Mu; she couldn't quite pinpoint exactly what it was, but something just felt off.

She usually had to sell things to support the family, and Deng Mu and Jiang Nannan's contributions were enough, but she needed to save more money for their future.

Back in the bedroom, Deng Mu began studying the Xuan Tian Bao Lu (Mysterious Heavenly Treasure Record). While studying it, he discovered that Tang San's insights were included, making it easier for him to understand.

However, Deng Mu also noticed some alterations or deletions in the Xuan Tian Bao Lu, which he couldn't understand why Tang San would do such things—the Tang Sect was his!

Could it be that he's worried a whole bunch of geniuses will emerge and threaten his rule? If that's the case, then it's far too absurd.
