When the jar shattered, Zoro opened his eyes and stared at the three items that had rolled out, brimming with anticipation. "Mr. Amon, what did I pull?"
Kuina's haul had set his curiosity on fire. He had to know what his own luck had brought.
Amon nodded and picked up the trio for a closer look. "Let me see."
By feel alone, Zoro's draw seemed promising. When the jar broke it flashed gold, and it gave him the same vibe as hitting an epic drop from the Abyss in Dungeon Fighter Online. Still, only a scan would tell the truth.
He triggered the system and examined the first piece, a cloth item shaped like a headband.
[Power Headband]: A Forgiveness Cap. Wearing it on the head fills the user with resilience and positive energy, and greatly boosts their sense of power. A very amusing tool. When not in use, it can be tied around the arm.
Pfft, interesting.
Amon nearly laughed out loud. This was too cheeky. A "forgiveness" headband...Then again, with Zoro's hair already that shade of green, one more touch of it probably would not bother him.
"Mr. Amon, did Zoro get something good?"
Seeing Amon suppress a grin after reading the first item, Kuina could not help asking.
"It is indeed good. This is called the Forgivenes... ahem, the Power Headband. Wear it on your head and it boosts your strength, letting you unleash explosive power to knock opponents down."
Still fighting a smile, Amon passed the headband to Zoro.
He had half expected a refusal. No man liked the idea of wearing green on his head. Instead, Zoro's eyes lit up the moment he saw it, and when he heard it increased strength, he was thrilled. He slid it on at once.
The instant the band settled, power surged through Zoro's body from nowhere.
"Incredible. And it is my favorite color too, it matches my hair perfectly."
He clenched both fists, feeling energy brim to the fingertips.
"Uh..."
Watching Zoro dote on his new green headband, Amon was briefly at a loss for words. Then again, Zoro always had a thing for headbands. Every time Amon watched the story, the moment Zoro tied one on, his strength spiked. Maybe that headband had always been a booster.
"Oh, Mr. Amon, you called it the Forgiveness Headband just now, what does that mean?"
"Nothing, nothing. As long as you like it. Your hair is green enough already, so maybe green plus green equals a right result for you."
"Green plus green equals a right result, what is that?"
"Never mind. I mean you look very cool with it. Very manly."
That much was not a joke. Zoro did look cooler with the headband on.
"Congratulations, Zoro."
"Thanks, Kuina."
Zoro touched the band with satisfaction, feeling like life had just turned brighter.
"Ahem, one more thing. Do not wear it all the time. Overreliance will hurt your training. Tie it on your arm in daily practice. Only put it on your head if a fight gets desperate."
"As a swordsman, you cannot lean on external power too much, or your growth will suffer," Amon reminded him when he saw Zoro's reluctance to take it off.
"Yes, Mr. Amon, I understand." Zoro nodded. Though he loved it, he still removed the band and showed solid self-control, which earned Amon's silent approval. A good seedling for the Way of the Sword.
"Oh, I almost forgot, there are two more items I have not checked."
[GPS Guide]: A high-tech tool. Worn on the wrist, it directs the wearer's path.
[Zanpakuto]: The sword of a Shinigami. Forged in the image of the wielder's own soul. By learning the name of their Zanpakuto and communing with it, the wielder draws out power. All blades begin as katana in a sealed, "no-release" state. The first release is Shikai, which greatly enhances the user's ability, often altering speed or strength, granting an elemental property, or a special effect. The second release is Bankai, a further evolution of the weapon. Its battle power reaches five to ten times that of Shikai, with the exact magnitude depending on the wielder's potential.
