Chapter 92 - Chapter 92: Killing

Chapter 92: Killing

Tension was building in the classroom.

Amidst rapid breathing, a man in a black suit wielding dual pistols faced off against a monster with a face split open like an octopus.

Seven girls huddled together, their eyes darting back and forth between Jake and Shimada Hideo.

Who was stronger?

Jake didn't seem like a parasite, and he had guns; he should win, right? But parasites were said to be able to kill over a dozen people single-handedly!

And they ate people!

The girls' minds were reeling. What did eating people have to do with fighting power?

Regardless, the battle began.

Shimada Hideo's face was no different from the parasites Jake had seen before—it split open, then attacked like tentacles!

He ducked and dodged an attack.

Using his gun-fu, he could even dodge bullets; the parasite's speed made it difficult for it to hit him.

Jake kept dodging, while the girls watched intently. With each of Shimada Hideo's attacks, they screamed, only to breathe a sigh of relief when Jake successfully evaded them.

"Quiet!" Jake shouted, dodging the attack of two tentacles with a somersault.

The girls were startled, but eventually quieted down.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Jake fired several shots, blowing out one of Shimada Hideo's eyes.

Losing an eyeball, Shimada Hideo roared and increased his attack speed.

However, his body was already off-balance due to the vision problem, and his attack rhythm slowed down slightly. In that slight gap, Jake increased his firepower.

The bullet, sparking in the air, instantly crossed the five-meter distance and accurately struck Shimada Hideo's right knee.

A bloody hole pierced through Shimada Hideo's knee, and he lost control and collapsed to the ground.

Bang!

Another shot, this bullet precisely grazed past Shimada Hideo's wildly flailing tentacles, and then accurately hit the target—the eyeball!

Blood splattered, and Shimada Hideo's vision was weakened again.

For the next minute, Jake constantly shifted his position in the face of the crazed Shimada Hideo's attacks, simultaneously firing a shot or two back.

Finally, with a thud,

Shimada Hideo collapsed completely. He had lost his sight entirely, had been shot four or five times in the chest, and his limbs were broken; he looked utterly wretched.

"Run!"

Jake shouted, and the group of girls finally reacted, scrambling out of the classroom.

He took out a syringe and injected Shimada Hideo, instantly teleporting him through dimensions.

Two minutes later, he reappeared.

Next, he still had to deal with Tamiya Ryoko and the parasites from the city hall. With enough experimental materials, all he could think about was going on a killing spree…

Sirens wailed throughout the campus. Following a report from female students about the appearance of parasites, the police, who were extremely alert to these man-eating monsters, immediately rushed to the scene.

As for the man from outside who had broken into the school a dozen minutes earlier?

The security guards were all frightened away by the news of the parasites; who would care about that man?

Just as the police squad, armed with riot shields and pistols, was rushing toward the classroom where the fight had taken place, Jake emerged.

He leaped from the two-story height!

Thump!

Protected by his black combat suit, the fall only caused Jake's knees to buckle slightly, but he quickly stood up again.

Before him stood a dozen or so students, dumbfounded, watching him jump from the building; some even instinctively took out their phones to take pictures.

Jake ignored the flashes and calmly turned around, asking, "Ms. Tamiya Ryoko, where is she now?"

A girl answered, "In the chemistry lab." She seemed to be in Murano Satomi's class.

"Thank you," Jake nodded to the girl and walked toward the lab, but then the girl's voice came from behind, "Excuse me, what happened to Ms. Tamiya?"

"Her?" Jake stopped. "She's a parasite." Without waiting for a gasp from behind, he continued walking.

The original storyline portrayed Tamiya Ryoko, the parasite, in a very unique way.

First, she advocated for peaceful coexistence between humans and parasites. Ironically, until a method for peaceful coexistence was found, she continued to eat humans for survival, and even by the end of the film, she hadn't found a solution.

Second, she positioned the parasites as pitiful and weak, which is what Jake found most repulsive about her. Have you ever seen a weak creature torture and kill a strong one, even using the strong as experimental subjects? In Jake's eyes, these parasites were prey, which is why he captured them for research.

In the final film, Tamiya Ryoko's willingness to die rather than let her human child be harmed certainly garnered some sympathy; perhaps she genuinely awakened maternal love, but in Jake's eyes, this was yet another form of manipulation.

What would the child think if they grew up and learned that their mother was a parasite?

Moreover, without Tamiya Ryoko's planning, the parasites would never have been able to infiltrate the government and cause such great harm to human society.

In short, Jake's attitude toward this parasite was to kill her.

Outside the school's chemistry lab, Tamiya Ryoko stood holding a freshly made Molotov cocktail, watching Jake approach with a cold expression.

Knowing his intentions were hostile, Tamiya Ryoko didn't even utter a word, instantly revealing her true form.

In the entire film, if anyone is considered the strongest, it's undoubtedly Tamiya Ryoko.

Mentally, she understands how to assume her original body's identity and can even become a teacher to instruct humans.

Her strength is even greater; she single-handedly killed three or four parasites!

Even with his abilities, Jake would find it difficult to claim a one-hit kill.

Suddenly, the flesh on Tamiya Ryoko's left cheek transformed into tiny tendrils,

slicing through the air and shooting toward Jake!

Her attack method departed from the parasites' petal-like face attacks, employing a ranged approach!

Facing an attack almost as fast as bullets, Jake swung his left leg in mid-air, using the momentum to perform a low somersault.

The somersault was incredibly precise; when he landed, his feet landed exactly where they had been!

He successfully dodged the tendril attacks.

But Jake didn't think this was the end. He gripped his guns with both hands and suddenly began firing in all directions, centered on himself!

Bang! Bang!

Sparks flew in the air, as if two bullets were colliding!

After the sparks flew, something fell to the ground.

A closer look revealed that it wasn't a collision of bullets, but rather a bullet blocking what was aimed at Jake.

What the bullet stopped were the tendrils that had split off from Tamiya Ryoko's face!

The parasitic cells could survive for a short period without nutrition, and Tamiya Ryoko had used this to launch long-range attacks and surprise attacks.

No one would have imagined that something thrown out could be retrieved, except for Jake, who already knew the plot.
