Kalies slowly came to consciousness.
The first thing he saw was Astromius.
His eyes darkened instantly.
"You knew," Kalies said hoarsely. "You knew Dian killed Gretchen… and you never told me the truth."
His voice trembled—not with weakness, but with rage.
"How dare you, Astromius."
Astromius met his gaze, guilt flooding his eyes. He dropped to his knees.
"Gretchen told me not to tell you," he said, his voice breaking. "He said you would burn the realms if you knew. I—I promised him, my lord. Please… forgive me."
For a moment, there was silence.
Then Kalies laughed.
It was not a sound of amusement—it was hollow, broken, terrifying.
"No," Kalies said coldly. "You were right."
He rose to his feet, power surging around him like a storm.
"I will destroy Dian the moment I find him," he continued. "And if the realms stand in my way… then I will destroy them too."
His eyes blazed with death itself.
"If justice demands the end of everything—so be it." I killed once I destroyed once I will do so once again I will let the world and universe die for him.
Without another word, Kalies turned and slashed out of the temple leaving shattered stone and trembling silence behind him. Astromius with guilt followed him
