A loud CRASH wakes you up; your eyes shoot open and you take a look around. Nothing seems out of the ordinary to you until you look inside the giant water pool; as you take a deep look down towards the bottom; something catches your eye. The deep sea foam green water ripples as a large stone monument rises from the the bottom to the top. It seems to depict a creature that looks similar to you, with much longer hair; eye coverings; and a scale. It speaks to your mind in a language you understand and it says "You, the man who traded all for something so little; was it worth it to trade your humanity and ticket to be with the gods for something so futile?" As the statue stops speaking you are crushed by the collapsing cave.
Then you wake up; your body is feeling the weight of the stone that never fell, but the cave seems normal; no giant rock monument; no collapsing cave. Something is wrong; you notice that you've never seen something like the monument before, until. One. Venomous. Voice. Comes back into your mind "Keep moving!" as if it is trying to rush something along, something important. The voice keeps getting more and more impatient overtime until you start moving, then and only then do the voices stop. The once infinite warmth of the water doesn't seem so infinite anymore, it does not seem very warm at all anymore. As you dip a toe inside the water a scene flashes before your eyes, you see a family. One that is so very familiar to you, a little girl calls out "Daddy!" it fades as fast as it comes but there is no pain. Nothing causing the searing feeling inside of your chest. Until the voice comes back with a powerful boom "NO! THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING SO SOON! I CAN'T LET THIS HAPPEN YET THIS EARLY!" the voice seems glitchy and uncertain; it knows something is wrong but you do not. The voice sounds like it's struggling to hold something together until it finishes with a giant huff.
Something is missing... The voice keeps glitching and you feel something in your heart. It is a new type of pain; a sorrowful pain that brings tears until the red scaley hands reach out once more... They grab you and keep their grip until all memory is gone. There are no more tears; no more pain; and no recollection of why that happened in the first place. You look down to where the hands gripped and there stands 2 red hand marks BURNED into your skin, they do not heal; they do not grow new skin over them. They, are permanent.
As you step outside, the cold and powerful tundra blizzard has faded, and a densely wooded area stands in front of you. The journey through the woods is not very long compared to your previous journeys; you find food in and about the area as you step over logs and walk past raging rivers that sweep away most things that are caught in the torrents. The world seems to have adapted to the natural disaster known as you; the trees sway out of your way as if some force of nature has them do so. The animals quiver and hide as if they have all heard or seen you before; it has all become one being in order to avoid the wrath of the true natural disaster. But something tells you the world was never supposed to adapt and remember you.
The voice guides you in a direction very adamantly; though something draws your eye and you go towards it. The voice gets upset "NO! DON'T YOU DARE!" The closer you get; the quieter the voice gets until it fades from your consciousness. The further you get the trees stop parting for your movement; creatures stop fleeing and instead stop and stare. Until you come across it, another being that looks to be censored out of reality but still belonging to the forest itself. It states calmly and without anything that gives substance to it's voice "Hello, your mind seems quiet. Something is missing Sail-master. You're early to this place." Your heart beats out of tune, it goes faster and then slower, the trees bend unnaturally and in ways they shouldn't. As the being stands up and walk around your being it leaves behind cosmic energy in it's wake that feel nauseating to you The voice comes back with a sense of urgency and a crack to it's tone. "DON'T CALL IT SAIL-MASTER, IT MIGHT!REMEMBER!"
The being that is taken out of reality states with an airy chuckle that takes no emotion "I do as I please, &^%^&." You throw up just from hearing that blurb of sounds "Do. Not. Speak. My. Name. To. This. Worm." The being speaks again this time in a tone that is commanding, but not directed towards you "You told us the deal wasn't supposed to progress this quickly." The beings argue for a while until they seem to come to an understanding. The one that looked censored out of reality starts folding the space near it, the air starts to close in until the being pops out of reality and everything goes back to how it was before the meeting.
You look towards the sky as it shifts again from blue to orange, you feel at ease and start your journey again in one direction, but this time with more vigor and purpose than you have ever had before. Every few steps the calmer beings voice rings in your head repeating the same line over and over again "Early... Early... Early..." The second you make it out of the forest the words go quiet, but as you look over the cliff to see another large forest. The wind sways the world around yourself. No longer keeping away from you, but keeping you away from something else entirely. The second forest below carries secrets the wind is too scared and timid to let loose...
