(Risa POV)
When we got to the capital of Englesia, three days after we left Blummund, there was a strict inspection at the gates, even stricter than the one at Dwargon's gates. Naturally, with Big Bro's magic-resistance mask and my perfect control over my own magicules, we had no problems passing the inspections, especially when they realized that we were both B-ranked adventurers.
Once we got into the city, I nearly got lost in all of the new, different culture and materials. I pulled information about nearly everything from Big Bro's Wise One skill as we walked. Shame I couldn't take material samples, though.
Then, we went directly to the Free Guild headquarters.
The Free Guild headquarters in Englesia had a card-activated magic-tool-door. It was clear that someone from the same place as Big Bro, with access to the same technology ideas and some ability to make use of those ideas had some say in how this building was designed. It sensed our Free Guild IDs, and only opened after that.
"Welcome! How can I help you today?" Said one of the women who worked there, as soon as we entered the lobby. Well-trained, huh? I hated calculating people like that, they were so different from my friends back in Tempest.
After Big Bro gave the woman our letter of introduction, telling her that we were here to see the grand master, she left and a guy walked up to us.
At first, this guy clearly wanted to start trouble with us, maybe show us our place or something, but when he got closer, Kabal called out to him and they started talking like old friends. He still seemed a bit hostile, but mainly because he didn't know us.
…
"Thanks for waiting. The grand master will see you now, Sir Rimuru and Lady Rin. Follow me, please."
The way to the grand master was via a teleportation circle. It was a targeted magic circle that could be programmed, allowing for easy moving between any floor with an associated circle. My first thought was 'security risk,' then I realized that there was a specific 'code' in the circle. You could only teleport to specific circles inside the building if you knew the 'code' that connected to the specific circle. They probably changed it regularly, too.
It was an interesting concept, adding security to something as rare and difficult to use as a teleportation circle. It already required rather complex calculations to connect to a teleportation circle. Adding a code to it made it almost infinitely harder for anyone to break into this building via teleportation, but anyone that they wanted inside, wouldn't need to go through the front door at all. They could just use a circle with the code attached.
Of course with one glance, now that we'd seen the code for the circle, Big Bro or I could teleport to any of them whenever we wanted, so long as we knew where they were, so it wasn't that great of a security measure.
Unless maybe you could create an algorithm of some sort within the security layer, so that you could make the circle equate a different code… like making the circle believe that both 4=4 and 2+2=4…
As I got lost in thought, using the Test sub-skill of Curiosity to figure out how to create a security layer that accepted multiple arguments, Big Bro and I walked into the magic circle.
It teleported us to a nondescript room… maybe underground? Yeah, based on the air density, probably underground. There was only one other exit to the room.
Almost as soon as we got into the room, the lady who'd guided us here told us to wait, before stepping back through the teleportation circle and disappearing.

Umm… Wise One, what is Risa doing? She's just kinda staring off into space.
'Report. Risa is creating simulations of Teleportation Circles via her Curiosity skill, attempting to enhance the Free Guild's security measures.'
Oookay. Geniuses… geez.

"Welcome. I'm grand master Yuuki Kagurazaka. It's nice to…-" Yuuki's face fell, as he stared at Big Bro. Meanwhile, I was still working on my simulations. This had nothing to do with me. I just wanted to fight strong things. "That's Miss Shizu's mask. How do you have it."
I pulled myself from my simulations for a moment, sensing danger. Huh. He's stronger than Big Bro… Abnormal muscle tension, too. He expected a fight before he ever saw Big Bro's mask.
"Uhh… this makes things a bit awkward… I think we should start with the fact that I'm a slime, with the ability to transform into anything I eat." Big Bro is an idiot. This guy wanted a fight.
Luckily, for an idiot, Big Bro wasn't stupid. As Yuuki's foot raced toward him, Big Bro caught it with his own leg, causing the table in the room to go flying. I ignored it, naturally. Yuuki had barely even noticed me, so far.
I was perfectly happy repeating my simulations over and over again.
Luckily, Yuuki wasn't serious about killing Big Bro. He just wanted to test his strength… for some reason. Big Bro wasn't going to notice, either way, so it probably wasn't that big of a deal. Big Bro made a joke that Miss Shizu had told him that she'd once heard from Yuuki, and the tension instantly disappeared.
