Cherreads

Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

Chapter 3

"Gion! Go tie up that woman in the underground port and bring her here!"

With the system's confirmation in hand, Kam couldn't be bothered arguing with Doflamingo anymore. He just ordered Gion to bind Sugar and bring her over!

Since Kam's original intention was to marry Sugar, she wasn't tied up harshly like Doflamingo—no five-point restraint torture for her.

But there was a problem: Sugar was in the underground port, so fetching her would take some time.

In the meantime, Kam didn't idle. He turned into a master of time management, hoisted another beauty from the Donquixote crew over his shoulder, and rushed straight to the bedroom.

"What luck!"

"I didn't expect Monet to come back specifically to report in and run right into me."

"Monet is exactly my type…"

Kam had zero intention of cherishing her tenderly. With one shoulder toss, he flung Monet onto the bed.

[Host, are you really going to be an idiot?]

At that moment, the system's voice rang in his head again, its mechanical tone laced with disbelief.

Same effort, but the rewards wouldn't even be a fraction!

Who in their right mind would do something so thankless!?

"System! As the saying goes: If I don't go to hell, who will!?"

Kam struck a heroic pose in his mind: "As a Celestial Dragon, it's only right to devote my limited energy to the infinite… uh, completion of system tasks."

"If people call this foolish, then I'll gladly be that fool."

"Besides, look—she's not even making a fuss."

Thinking this, Kam shifted his gaze to Monet on the bed.

She wasn't resisting, struggling, or crying out—just lying there as if fully submitting to his dominance. Only her eyes burned with venomous hatred!

[...]

"Kekekeke…"

Kam ignored the system and moved to take things further…

"Blizzard!!"

Suddenly, Monet erupted, unleashing the full power of her Snow-Snow Fruit.

Whoosh whoosh!!

A bone-chilling cold surged forth, freezing Kam's limbs in an instant.

"What the fuck!!"

Kam's face changed drastically. He yelled, stepping back half a pace while instinctively reinforcing his Armament Haki!

"Damn it, he dodged it!" Monet gritted her teeth in frustration.

Right now—

Kam's mind was blank, wearing the look of someone who had narrowly escaped death.

If he hadn't reinforced his Armament Haki in time, he—he would've become a man without descendants today!

"Monet, you're courting death!"

Kam exploded in rage. Now he understood why she hadn't made a sound, why only her eyes showed hatred!

She had been waiting for this—waiting to castrate him!

"You bastard! The Young Master won't let you get away with this."

"Don't think having Kizaru on your side means you can do whatever you want. The Young Master's background is something you can't afford to provoke!"

Monet clutched her head, glaring viciously at Kam.

In her eyes, her Young Master wasn't just a man with Celestial Dragon blood—he was destined to become the Pirate King!

This guy in front of her? Just some rich kid who bribed an Admiral with money.

"Background? Can't afford to provoke?"

Kam was stunned. He frowned, racking his brain for what background of Doflamingo he might have overlooked.

But his frowning expression made Monet misunderstand.

Monet: He's scared!

She straightened her back triumphantly and sneered coldly.

"Let me tell you the truth! The Young Master is not only the king of Dressrosa and a Warlord—he has noble Celestial Dragon blood! He's someone you can't touch!"

"Shit, I forgot!!"

Hearing this, Kam suddenly remembered.

He had only revealed his Celestial Dragon status to Doflamingo himself—the other officers had no idea.

"Heh, can't touch him?"

Kam grabbed Monet by the hair and sneered: "My name is Kam Saint. My full name is Kurukured Kam Saint! You lot aren't even fit to carry my shoes. Killing you all would be perfectly justified!"

He spoke with undisguised contempt, his anger fueling every word!

Yet Monet, who had been defiant moments ago, didn't dare retort.

Because she heard "Saint."

Saint!

Only Celestial Dragons get the suffix "Saint"!

And the Kurukured family was one of the most powerful among them! Compared to that, their Donquixote family was nothing.

"No! He might be faking it."

Monet furrowed her brow. Even a wicked Celestial Dragon wouldn't come all the way to Dressrosa just to steal women.

Smack!!

Before she could think further, a Celestial Dragon medallion smashed into her face, shattering her doubts completely.

"K-Kam Saint-sama…"

Monet lost all her earlier arrogance, asking fearfully: "What exactly do you want?"

Kam grinned: "Doflamingo offended me. By rights, you all should die. But, kekeke…"

He lowered his gaze, letting out a sinister laugh.

The meaning was obvious!

"You won't fool me!!"

Monet retorted coldly and sharply: "Even if you're a Celestial Dragon, the Young Master has Celestial Dragon blood too! You can't kill him!"

"Hmm?"

Kam raised an eyebrow, curiously studying Monet.

He wasn't surprised by her rudeness.

What puzzled him was: Normally, shouldn't her first worry be about being forced? Why was her priority whether Doflamingo would die?

"Right!"

After a moment's thought, Kam's eyes lit up: "In the Donquixote crew, Monet isn't the woman Doflamingo loves. But she's the one most obsessively devoted to him."

"Maybe…"

Kam's lips curved into a smile. He had an idea.

Pretending to hear the funniest joke in the world, he burst into laughter: "Can't kill him? I can't kill Doflamingo???"

He clutched his stomach, then continued: "True! If he were a normal Celestial Dragon, I really couldn't. But he's just a discarded reject."

"His parents voluntarily gave up their Celestial Dragon status—calling them traitors wouldn't be wrong!"

Kam stepped forward, pinching Monet's pretty face with a smile: "Do you think the Celestial Dragons would protect a traitor, or protect me?"

He shouted toward the door: "Kizaru!"

"This old man is here!" Kizaru's loud voice came from outside.

"Miss Monet!"

As Kizaru replied, Kam seized Monet by the throat, speaking coldly: "Guess—do I dare have Kizaru kill Doflamingo right now?"

"I…"

"I…"

Monet stammered, face pale as death!

Her instinct told her that since the Young Master had Celestial Dragon lineage, this Kam probably wouldn't dare. But the coldness in Kam's eyes screamed otherwise—he might actually do it.

Seeing her hesitation, Kam released her.

Then he grinned cheerfully: "That's why I, Kam, have my eye on the women around him. Even if he's a traitor, I don't want to kill him."

"Kekekeke, Miss Monet, you're smart. You don't want your Young Master brother to die, do you?"

"I…"

"This…"

"This…"

Monet wasn't stupid. She heard the implication loud and clear, but this kind of thing…

It was just too much!

She didn't know what to do.

"Alright, alright."

"Since Miss Monet isn't willing,"

"I'm not the type to force people."

Seeing her still hesitating, Kam waved it off, pretending to stroll toward the door.

He said lightly: "But offending a Celestial Dragon—especially one as noble as me—I have no choice but to follow the rules and kill the offenders."

He started to leave!

"Don't!"

Monet stepped forward, grabbing Kam to stop him. She didn't know if his words were bluff or truth. But she knew one thing…

She could never let the Young Master come to harm!

She was willing to pay any price for that.

"Young Master…"

"Please forgive Monet…"
