Chapter 8
"Huh???"
Kam was completely dumbfounded.
Wasn't it still nine months until the Straw Hat crew set sail again?
Luffy setting sail? What a joke!
"It's true!"
"For some reason, the Straw Hat kid and the Pirate Empress went to World's ship-island."
"World? Which one?"
Kam frowned, unable to recall who World was for a moment.
"The pirate who recently attacked a Celestial Dragon convoy—Bondy World! Multiply-Multiply Fruit user, known as the 'World Destroyer'."
"Hiss…!"
"So it's him!"
Hearing "Multiply," Kam suddenly remembered.
During the two years Luffy was training, he did set sail once—for the exact reason that Bondy World had kidnapped the Pirate Empress's two little sisters!
"Kekekekekeke! Truly heaven helps me!"
Kam's face lit up with delight.
Over the past few days, he had realized that while he could grow stronger by having children, there was one critical missing factor!
Time!
In less than a year—precisely nine months—King Luffy would set sail again!
But human pregnancy takes ten months!
If his "fertility luck" was good, his child might be born a month after Luffy sets sail; if bad, Luffy might already be one of the Four Emperors by the time his offspring arrived.
In other words, until his child was born, Kam's strength wouldn't see a massive increase.
Meanwhile, Luffy's growth speed was terrifying.
He gets half-killed by Kaido with one club, then the next moment beats Kaido senseless!
"If I remember correctly, right now King Luffy hasn't fully matured yet."
"This is the perfect time to take him out!"
Kam immediately headed to Pangu Castle to meet the Five Elders. His own strength was limited—the best way to eliminate Luffy was still to have the Five Elders send out troops.
But ideals are full, reality is bullshit.
The Five Elders flatly refused to deploy.
"Elders, grandfathers,"
Kam clenched his fists, glaring furiously at the five old men: "Straw Hat Luffy ate the legendary Nika Fruit! We absolutely cannot let a guy like that live! Once he grows strong, the Celestial Dragons will be in danger!"
He genuinely wanted to give each of these five old fogeys a hundred big slaps!
Did they really have to wait for the enemy to power up?
In fact: The moment Kam transmigrated, he had already suggested the Five Elders send troops to Rusukaina to eliminate Luffy—but they refused, citing "Rayleigh is on the island."
But now Luffy had left the island—why the hell still not send troops?!
"We understand the reasoning."
Saint Saturn let out a long sigh: "But the Nika Fruit hasn't awakened that form in 800 years. How can you be certain that Straw Hat Luffy is the new Nika?
"The secrets of the Nika Fruit were finally buried by us with great difficulty. If we go all out to kill a small-time pirate, it will arouse suspicion from those with ulterior motives."
"Kam, remember this."
Saint Vochuli patted Kam on the shoulder, speaking earnestly: "Our true enemies as Celestial Dragons are never a single small-time pirate—they are the ever-growing Revolutionary Army."
"Well said!"
"…"
Grind grind grind!!
Kam's teeth grated in fury. He felt that when the Celestial Dragons eventually fell, these old bastards would bear a huge share of the blame!
How could I be certain? I transmigrated—I damn well know!
"Grandfathers, how about this?"
After thinking for a moment, Kam proposed: "Since World injured us Celestial Dragons first, I will represent the Celestial Dragons and lead troops to subjugate him! When Straw Hat Luffy appears, I will swiftly eliminate him with thunderous force!
"Afterward, we can simply claim that during the encirclement of World, Luffy offended me—that makes it reasonable."
"Hmm?"
The Five Elders paused, thinking this was actually a good idea!
But soon their brows furrowed again, troubled: "We have no issue with this, however…"
"However what?" Kam pressed.
"However, the subjugation of World has already been assigned to another clan member. By protocol, you must negotiate with him."
"Who?"
…
Not long after.
"What!"
"Elders, you're handing the revenge mission to Kam?!"
Lachi's eyes bulged like a husky's, clearly thinking the Five Elders were joking!
He knew Kam was direct-line blood, but also a useless waste who couldn't use weapons or Haki—plus the idiot who spent 100 billion berries to buy a kingdom!
Sending someone like that to subjugate World? Hilarious!
"Lachi?"
Kam glared viciously at the bloated man in front of him, his body instinctively filled with loathing.
The original host's death was very suspicious!
Most likely due to family power struggles!
And Kurukured Lachi was one of the contenders. Though only collateral branch, he was one of the rare ones with normal intelligence and proficiency in both colors of Haki!
He had some reputation within the family.
"Hmm?"
Lachi noticed Kam's hateful glare and roared: "You still dare glare at me?!"
"Fuck!"
Hearing this, Kam instantly exploded.
You call me trash?
I didn't say shit.
Because the original host really was trash—only 3 minutes and 1 second.
But pushing it further?
Smack!
Kam immediately slapped him across the face. The sound echoed loudly in the massive conference room.
What a crisp smack!
Lachi: ??!
He was completely stunned.
It took a full three seconds before he realized he'd been hit.
How could he tolerate this?
He pointed at Kam and started roaring: "I—"

The next second—crack!
Lachi's finger was immediately snapped!
"You what?"
"Direct-line here, collateral trash like you dares act arrogant in front of me?"
"Believe me when I say I'll kill you!"
Kam cursed outright, showing zero restraint.
If not for the massive compensation he'd have to pay, he really would kill him!
Different Celestial Dragons have different statuses. For example, Kam could call the Five Elders "Grandfathers," but Lachi could only call them "Sirs."
Status differences also affect punishment: If Kam killed Lachi, it would just cost a huge sum of money. But if he killed a direct-line from another family—like Charlos—it would be life for life.
"I… I…"
Lachi immediately cowered!
Kam was filthy rich—if he really killed him, that would be the end.
After thinking, Lachi simply ignored Kam and turned directly to the five elders: "Sirs, please stop joking. What exactly did you call me here for?"
"Lachi, we are not joking!"
The five elders spoke seriously: "We believe Kam should also have a chance to gain experience. So we hope you will yield this opportunity to him."
"What?!"
Lachi's eyes widened in disbelief.
At first he thought it was just a joke from the Five Elders.
But now they were repeating it seriously.
This was clearly real!
"No! No way!"
"I refuse!"
Lachi rejected outright.
For collateral-branch Celestial Dragons, the best way to rise in status or gain real power was to achieve great merits.
Subjugating World was practically a free achievement—how could Lachi possibly let it go?
"Hmm?!!"
The Five Elders' faces instantly darkened.
They called you here just to go through the motions.
What do you mean "I refuse"? Don't you understand basic manners?!
"Hmm!!!"
Kam suddenly froze, then grabbed Lachi by the collar and roared:
"Who the hell did you just say is 'no good'?!"
These past few days, Kam had become extremely sensitive to the word "no good."
"Say 'no good' one more time?"
