Kam was completely dumbfounded.
Wasn't it still nine months until the Straw Hat crew set sail again?
Luffy setting sail? What a joke!
"It's true!"
"For some reason, the Straw Hat kid and the Pirate Empress went to World's ship-island."
"World? Which one?"
Kam frowned, unable to recall who World was for a moment.
"The pirate who recently attacked a Celestial Dragon convoy—Bondy World! Multiply-Multiply Fruit user, known as the 'World Destroyer'."

Hearing "Multiply," Kam suddenly remembered.
During the two years Luffy was training, he did set sail once—for the exact reason that Bondy World had kidnapped the Pirate Empress's two little sisters!
"Kekekekekeke! Truly heaven helps me!"
Kam's face lit up with delight.
Over the past few days, he had realized that while he could grow stronger by having children, there was one critical missing factor!
Time!
In less than a year—precisely nine months—King Luffy would set sail again!
But human pregnancy takes ten months!
If his "fertility luck" was good, his child might be born a month after Luffy sets sail; if bad, Luffy might already be one of the Four Emperors by the time his offspring arrived.
In other words, until his child was born, Kam's strength wouldn't see a massive increase.
Meanwhile, Luffy's growth speed was terrifying.
He gets half-killed by Kaido with one club, then the next moment beats Kaido senseless!

Kam immediately headed to Pangu Castle to meet the Five Elders. His own strength was limited—the best way to eliminate Luffy was still to have the Five Elders send out troops.
But ideals are full, reality is bullshit.
The Five Elders flatly refused to deploy.
"Elders, grandfathers,"
Kam clenched his fists, glaring furiously at the five old men: "Straw Hat Luffy ate the legendary Nika Fruit! We absolutely cannot let a guy like that live! Once he grows strong, the Celestial Dragons will be in danger!"
He genuinely wanted to give each of these five old fogeys a hundred big slaps!
Did they really have to wait for the enemy to power up?

The Five Elders paused, thinking this was actually a good idea!

"However what?" Kam pressed.
"However, the subjugation of World has already been assigned to another clan member. By protocol, you must negotiate with him."
"Who?"

"Elders, you're handing the revenge mission to Kam?!"
Lachi's eyes bulged like a husky's, clearly thinking the Five Elders were joking!
He knew Kam was direct-line blood, but also a useless waste who couldn't use weapons or Haki—plus the idiot who spent 100 billion berries to buy a kingdom!
Sending someone like that to subjugate World? Hilarious!
"Lachi?"
Kam glared viciously at the bloated man in front of him, his body instinctively filled with loathing.
The original host's death was very suspicious!
Most likely due to family power struggles!
And Kurukured Lachi was one of the contenders. Though only collateral branch, he was one of the rare ones with normal intelligence and proficiency in both colors of Haki!
He had some reputation within the family.

He was completely stunned.

He pointed at Kam and started roaring: "I—"

Kam cursed outright, showing zero restraint.

Different Celestial Dragons have different statuses. For example, Kam could call the Five Elders "Grandfathers," but Lachi could only call them "Sirs."
