Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 I'm a Sunny and Cheerful Big Boy~

   Through this competition,

Bai Yu seemed to realize the difference in this world.

Gradually, Bai Yu adapted to the competition, and his Seed Iron Ball became like a fortress.

He defeated almost all his opponents, and everyone's face showed a look of utter disgust when facing Stealth Rock.

Most trainers had one or two Flying-type Pokémon.

Not to mention, Stealth Rock was incredibly effective against Flying-type Pokémon.

Originally, there were many trainers in the Pokémon Center, but gradually fewer and fewer gathered around.

Only a few trainers who loved watching the excitement remained, waiting for their next victim.

"I've only played a few matches, but I've roughly learned some battle techniques, which is enough."

Seeing that no one was challenging him, Bai Yu

sighed softly, shook his head, and turned to leave the Pokémon Center.

In the high-intensity battles, Seed Iron Ball could accumulate a lot of battle experience.

Releasing Stealth Rock and Root became much easier.

The power of the released moves also increased significantly. It seems that long battles can also further improve a Pokémon's strength, although the increase is not very obvious.

If it evolves into Ferrothorn in subsequent matches and learns moves like Spiral Ball, it

will have more versatility in its offensive and defensive strategies.

  "That guy's finally gone."

A trainer who had just embarked on a journey, for some reason, breathed a sigh of relief after seeing Bai Yu leave.

In his eyes, Bai Yu was like a tireless robot, and so was that Seed Iron Ball.

It only healed once, yet it had defeated over twenty trainers in a row, all using the same tactics and the same methods.

"Even if I'm defeated for the rest of my life, I don't want to fight trainers like that again."

  "Who doesn't?!"

"His playstyle can only be described with... what was that word again..."

  "Hellish!"

"Yes, hellish! I don't know where he got those Pokémon, they're so hellish and disgusting. He gets suppressed in close combat, and his ranged attacks are easily dodged."

They did try using Fire-type Pokémon to deal with Seed Iron Ball.

Unfortunately, the difference in strength between the two sides was too great.

Even with Fire-type Pokémon, it was difficult to get close to Seed Iron Ball, let alone cause any damage.

After all the matches, they hadn't even seen Bai Yu's second Pokémon.

  Let alone defeated Bai Yu.

Meanwhile, a group of teenagers were standing at the entrance of the Marsh City Gym.

They had all come to Marsh City specifically to challenge the so-called Marsh City Gym, based on information from the Pokédex.

Although the Marsh City Gym wasn't as well-known as the other eight Gyms,

thanks to Bai Yu's predecessor's tireless efforts, it had become a prestigious target for many trainers.

After all, the Marsh City Gym was currently recognized by the League.

It could be considered a Gym with League-approved status.

The only requirement to participate in the Indigo League is obtaining eight Gym Badges.

  There are no strict requirements.

These relatively easy Gyms naturally become the targets everyone wants to defeat.

The boys at the entrance whispered among themselves, showing no intention of going in.

"Have you heard of the Marsh Gym in Marsh City? It seems to be the easiest Gym to get a badge from."

"There's no point in challenging such an easy Gym. Who knows if the badges will even be recognized by the League?" "

Even a Gym like the Cerulean Gym in Cerulean City is recognized by the League, so I think these Gym badges should be recognized too."      "Yeah, if even an underwater ballet event can get League recognition, I don't think this gym can be that bad!"

At the gym entrance, quite a few trainers were pacing back and forth.

They all wanted to participate in this Indigo League and stand on the front lines of the Kanto Region.

However, they were still a bit hesitant, given the recent terrible reputation of the Marsh Gym.

Almost the entire Marsh City, and even the entire Kanto Region, knew of this gym's strength—a gym where Electric-type Pokémon couldn't even defeat Water-type Pokémon.

Even casual trainers rarely achieved this, yet this gym leader had done it.

This further solidified their determination to challenge it.

They all wanted to earn a gym badge through their own strength.

Of course, they already had the Cerulean Gym badge in hand.

After all, getting a gym badge just by watching an underwater ballet performance—why not?!   "Instead of agonizing here, let's just go in and battle."

"You don't even have the thought of defeating the weakest gym? I advise you to give up on the so-called Indigo League; that kind of competition isn't suitable for you!"

A young man in the crowd spoke rudely.

He then pushed open the door of the Marsh Gym and walked towards its interior.

The surrounding trainers couldn't help but blush at the sight.

They, the trainers, had actually been lectured like this by a novice trainer who might have just embarked on a journey. If others knew, they would probably be laughed to death.

  "Kanto Region!"

"The region my brother mentioned, I must achieve even greater success than him."

His face displayed a determination beyond what most people could muster, making him appear somewhat mature, but his eyes were filled with a thirst for battle.

He had been in the Kanto Region for some time and was quite interested in the gyms there.

"Rumor has it that the Kanto Region's strength is among the top of all regions."

"But the gyms I challenged weren't very strong. Even the Pewter and Cerulean gyms, considered among the eight great gyms, aren't as strong overall as the gyms in the Sinnoh Region."

The boy's eyes were filled with disdain.

No wonder there's no champion in such a region.

The overall strength is so low!   In comparison, the Sinnoh gyms are generally stronger than the Kanto ones.

At least that's what Shinji thought. After all, Shinji had seen his brother's match against Denji, the Sinnoh gym trainer.

He still remembered that match—   Denji's Electivire was so powerful that he couldn't handle it.

"Brother, I will definitely become the League Champion!"

"Then I'll stand in the Battle Frontier and defeat that guy head-on!"

Shinji's mind flashed with the image of Shinji's brother, Daiki. That battle was his brother's last.

And the opponent he lost to was Daiki from the Battle Frontier.

The Frontier Brains in the Battle Frontier all possessed Elite Four-level strength.

He's only just begun his journey and hasn't reached that level yet.

Back at the gym, Bai Yu noticed the trainers entering.

The most prominent was Shinji, walking at the front.

"Shinji appearing at this time... well, Shinji did mention him before."

"He's been to Kanto and Hoenn, participating in regional competitions."

  "His appearance here isn't surprising."

Bai Yu focused his gaze on Shinji on the monitor. Shinji was, after all, one of Ash's formidable rivals.

And he adhered to the player's principle of strength above all else.

But regardless of the opponent, the outcome was the same. Unless it was a Champion or an Elite Four member, and the skill gap was significant, his tactics would never be inferior to anyone's!
