Chapter 7 - New fight

A few days have passed since I contacted Crystal, and I've been unable to stop thinking about what she said and what Mano said. I had discussed the issue with my parents a few times and tried to consider the reasons behind it or how to remove the curse. Father brought up a topic that they both might blame themselves for whatever happened in the fight before they were separated. I wasn't sure. My mother brought up that there could have been more than what Crystal said. I still don't know. Scarlet began to come by now and then. I haven't told her about any of this. I don't want her to feel the need to worry about me. Especially since everything started with the reaction Crystal had to the information I got from Mano. Even now, I can feel Crystal being uneasy about all this. Mom and Dad are both worried about me, and I don't know what to do, so they won't feel so uneasy about everything.

Recently, Scarlet has encountered a beast man slave who was hired to kill her. I know this will lead to more problems, and what I know now only adds more fuel to a fire that was already inevitable. If there was use in guessing, Scarlet would be about to enter the illegal slave trade. I know where it is, as does Mano, and I am going to use it and get there first, and have so much fun taking out my anger. So, there is time before I can tear the entire auction apart. And that Teranetza will get a beating. Mom and Dad would lock me up so I couldn't attend if they knew, so I never told them. I selected a nice dark blue suit with silver trim to wear and a matching mask. Mano is going in a bright red dress with golden accents, and her mask matched well.

All my parents know is that I have a masquerade party to go to with Mano. As long as my parents don't find out, we'll be fine. But then there's that damn Julius if he ends up there first. Regardless, it's time to get ready for tonight. Getting into my suit, it showed off my curves and the outline of my leg muscles. It looked stunning on me. The mask made it look even better together. I took my hair and tied it up in a high ponytail. I headed out. when my parents saw me.

"Gia," my mother gasped, not in a bad way, just surprised. "You never had a form-fitted outfit before. What's the occasion?"

"Better not be with that Mano woman," my dad said. I sighed and turned to them.

"Dad, it's just a dance; it's not like a date." My words hadn't moved him.

"And the difference is what exactly?" My father asked with arms crossed. I'm gonna be here a while.
