Chapter 14 - EP 14

lin yue when he woke up in the morning, he saw feng lin cutting wood according to his instructions and making furniture

Lin Yue sat on the edge of the wooden frame, tapping it thoughtfully.

"The structure is fine," he said. "You did it exactly right."

Feng Lihan watched him closely. "Then why are you frowning?"

"…Because a bed isn't just wood," Lin Yue replied. He pressed his palm down and felt the unyielding surface. "It needs something soft. Otherwise it's just a raised rock."

Feng Lihan frowned in confusion. "Soft… like fur?"

"Yes. Or dried grass. Leaves. Anything layered." Lin Yue looked around the cave, eyes slowly lighting up. "We can make bedding."

With clear instructions, he showed Feng Lihan how to weave flexible branches into a tighter base, then layer dried leaves on top—thick, springy, overlapping so they wouldn't scatter.

Feng Lihan followed every step carefully.

When it was done, Lin Yue tested it again.

This time, he sighed in relief.

"…Much better."

Encouraged, Feng Lihan kept going. He was happy he make something for lin yue

He made two chairs, sturdier than the stool from yesterday, their backs slightly curved so they didn't dig into the spine. Then he repaired the old stool, reinforcing one leg so it wouldn't wobble anymore.

Lin Yue watched in quiet amazement.

"You learn fast," he said.

"I had a good teacher," Feng Lihan replied simply.

With the basic furniture finished, Lin Yue's attention shifted.

"This place still feels like a cave," he said, looking around. "Let's fix that."

He rearranged the space, moving the bed away from the draft, placing the chairs near the fire pit, setting the low table between them. He hung braided vines along the walls, using them to suspend dried herbs and flowers he'd gathered earlier.

A flat stone became a surface for tools.

Another held the remains of charcoal and ash.

Slowly, the cave changed.

It wasn't grand. It wasn't beautiful.

But it was lived in. Lin yue feel happy, and comferted

When Lin Yue finally stepped back, he exhaled, satisfied. "There. Now it feels right."

Feng Lihan looked around, stunned.

"This doesn't feel like a temporary shelter anymore," he said. my cave change you are amazing lin yue i am happy to meet you

Lin Yue smiled, then sat on the bed again.

The smile faded.

"…There's still one problem."

Feng Lihan turned instantly. "What is it?"

"The bed's still hard," Lin Yue admitted. "Better than before—but not enough. I'll wake up sore."

lin yue thinking how he can make mattress, if i read some survival books in my time , well it doesn't matter anymore sigh...

Feng Lihan thought for a moment, then his eyes sharpened with resolve. "Then tomorrow, we find something better."

"Like what?" Lin Yue asked.

Feng Lihan smiled—small, confident. "Something the forest already has."

Lin Yue met his gaze, curiosity sparking.what he want to do.
