Chapter 42 - Chapter 42: Peace to Disaster

Siya had already infused her Devine energy into the Sanjeevani—

an otherworldly elixir, something that could easily be called Amrit, the nectar of life itself.

Stepping outside the room, she said calmly,

"I'll go in and check on him. You all stay here."

When Siya entered, the sight before her clenched her heart.

Maan had grown frighteningly weak.

His eyes were sunken deep into their sockets, his body drained, barely clinging to life.

Seeing him like this was unbearable for her.

And yet—

he was still not Maan.

When he looked at Siya, the twisted cunning returned to his eyes.

The moment he sensed her presence, his hunger awakened.

He moved forward, attempting to overpower her.

Siya knew very well that he posed no real threat to her—

and yet, she didn't step back.

She already knew the truth.

To administer the Sanjeevani, she would have to hurt herself.

Siya stepped closer and extended her hand.

She deliberately scratched her own skin, letting blood spill forth.

The scent drove him wild.

Without hesitation, Siya mixed her blood into the Sanjeevani.

As she reached out again, he lunged at her—

But the instant he realized he was fading,

his scream tore through the air—

a scream so raw, it shook the soul.

His agony was visible.

Siya watched it all.

Silent. Unmoving.

She let it consume him—slowly, completely.

When she was certain that the darkness within him had been erased,

Siya caught Maan before he collapsed, laid him down gently,

and began transferring her own energy into him.

Blood continued to drip from her hand.

Everyone outside saw it.

And yet, no one dared step closer—

anyone who did would have faced Siya's wrath.

Suppressing her emotions, Siya walked out and said,

"He'll regain consciousness soon. He's safe now."

Her body finally gave up.

She collapsed—utterly exhausted, barely able to stand.

Still, she forced herself upright.

Ali, Andy, and George rushed forward to support her.

George grabbed her hand.

Siya looked straight at him and said coldly,

"Let go.

Until I'm dead, I don't need anyone's support."

Ali protested,

"Boss, you're injured."

"I'm fine," Siya replied.

She could barely walk now, moving forward one slow step at a time.

Without thinking, George lifted her in his arms.

Before she could react, he placed her gently on her bed and said,

"Sleep. That wasn't support—just help."

Siya snapped.

"I told you I don't need it!"

Her anger exploded.

With a single, powerful strike, she hurled George backward.

"As long as I'm alive, I need no one," she shouted.

"If you touch me again, it will end badly for you.

Get out. Go back to where you came from!"

Turning to the others, she screamed,

"Lock him up. Don't you understand the danger you're keeping free?"

George stormed out in fury.

Andy nodded grimly, shut the door,

and had George confined.

They all knew now—

leaving Siya alone was the only choice.

The moment she lay down, she fell into a deep sleep.

Seeing her finally rest brought relief to Ali and Andy.

But Clara—

Clara felt something else.

Anger.

She watched them look at Siya with such care, such devotion,

and stormed into her room, slamming her foot against the floor.

What is it about Siya? she thought bitterly.

If she didn't have those powers, what would she be?

And yet everyone accepts her arrogance, obeys her every command—

as if their lives depend on it.

Even enemies go mad for her.

Clara froze.

"What am I thinking?" she whispered.

She grabbed her head.

"She treated you like family.

She helped you, gave you shelter, stood beside you at every step—

and you're nurturing this hatred for her?"

Horror washed over her.

She began hitting herself.

"What's happening to me?

Am I losing my mind?"

At that moment—

a red light flashed in her eyes.

And in the blink of an eye,

It vanished.

Siya was still in deep sleep when the visions began.

She saw a man—

radiant, joyful, his eyes shining with purity,

a sacred aura glowing on his face.

Then suddenly—

Those eyes turned red.

A cruel smile stretched across his face.

His laughter echoed inside Siya's mind.

She jolted awake, drenched in sweat.

"No…" she whispered.

"That wasn't a dream.

That was someone's reality."

Her voice trembled.

"Who is Peace turned into Disaster?

And why…

why did I see him?"
