Lucian pulled Rowan into the busy street, and immediately Rowan was hit with a wall of sensation- noise, color, movement, life.
Street vendors calling out their wares in multiple languages. Music blasting from open storefronts. The smell of grilling meat and spices mixing with car exhaust and perfume. People rushing past, laughing, arguing, living their lives loudly and unapologetically.
Rowan kept looking around with mixed feelings- part overwhelm, part fascination, part something he couldn't quite name.
This was so far removed from his world of sophisticated offices and silent limousines and restaurants where people spoke in hushed, respectful tones.
This was chaos.
And strangely... Rowan didn't hate it.
"Come on!" Lucian said excitedly, his hand still firmly holding Rowan's as he pulled him deeper into the crowd. "I want to show you everything!"
Immediately, Lucian became an enthusiastic tour guide, pointing at everything like a child showing off their favorite playground.
