Morning came as fast as Lucian wanted and he didn't bother to wait for the sun to fully rise before leaving for DOV company to resume work.

His heart seemed to be singing one name- Rowan Donovan! And although he knew the CEO might fire him, he needed to see the man even if it was just for a second so his heart would stop disturbing him like this.
He walked through the lobby of the company carrying his backpack, in his usual mode of dressing; baggy trousers and a T-shirt which had three buttons loosened, looking completely unbothered by his two-day absence.
When he reached the executive floor, he found Riley already at her desk, organizing files for the day ahead.
The moment she looked up and saw him, her eyes widened in shock.
"Lucian?" Riley said, standing up from her chair. "You're... you came back?"
Lucian smiled casually. "Morning, Riley."
