"I... I..." The caller stammered from the other end and Rowan gritted harder.
"It... It wasn't my fault... The situation...at the manufacturing plant.. It's because..." The man's words tumbled over each other nervously.
It was one of the project managers of DOV Foods in another city.
"Explain the situation in details." Rowan ordered sharply, his voice leaving no room for further argument.
There was a gulp at the other end and silence. Then after a second, the man heaved another sigh and began to talk;
"A batch of our packaged meals, the instant noodles line, has been flagged for potential contamination."
"When did this happen?" Rowan's jaw clenched as he asked.
There was a pause. A damning, guilty pause.
"About... about two weeks ago, sir."
Rowan's eyes darkened dangerously as he heard that.
"Two weeks? And you're only calling me now?" His voice was deceptively calm, the kind of calm that preceded a storm.
