Ryan told her everything, from Andrew inviting him for a drink to the drugged whisky and the ugly scheme that followed. The more she listened, the darker her expression became.
"So Vanessa and Andrew are really a pair of snakes," she said coldly. "No wonder they could come up with something so shameless."
Her aura sharpened, a dangerous glint flashing in her eyes. "Poor Thea… being married to a man like that. That family is finished."
Then she smiled, but it wasn't a gentle smile.
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend. That scumbag and that woman deserve to pay for what they've done. Let's help Sister Thea."
Ryan nodded without hesitation. "Whatever you want, I'll do."
Mary squeezed his hand and laughed. "Enough of this ugly business. Come back to the mindscape with me. I made a feast today, and I'm going to stuff you full."
