Everyone understood what he was implying. This was no ordinary job. If the training alone sounded brutal, then the work afterward might involve special situations.
What kind of situations?
Would they be put in danger? Would they be asked to do things they shouldn't?
A few people hesitated, their hands half-raised before lowering again.
Ryan noticed immediately. "If you have questions, ask them."
John was the first to step forward. "Director, where exactly is this work unit?"
"You'll know after passing the training," Ryan replied calmly. "Anyone else?"
Jonathan clenched his fists before asking, "Will the missions be dangerous? Will we be asked to do anything against the law or discipline?"
Ryan fell silent for a brief moment. His dark eyes flickered before he answered evenly, "If I say it's possible, would you still be willing to stay?"
This time, the silence was heavy.
