Mary nodded. "The bracelet is hottest right here. It should be behind this wall."
If the energy stone was truly inside, there had to be a mechanism. Ryan's gaze swept the room again before settling on the large bookshelf nearby.
He walked over and examined the rows of books. They were arranged neatly by the timeline of history, from ancient to modern. At first glance, everything looked normal.
Ryan frowned slightly and checked again, slower this time. On his second pass, something finally felt off. In the lower left corner, there were two books that looked exactly the same.
He ran his fingers lightly along the spines, touching each one in turn. When he reached the duplicates, he paused. "Wife, come here."
Mary hurried over, her eyes immediately landing on the two identical books. She had tried the walls and decorations earlier without success, but this… this looked promising.
"Did you find something?" she asked.
