She cursed him silently for teasing her at such a time, quickly took off her coat, and slipped under the blanket. Turning her back to him, she shut her eyes tightly and pretended to sleep.
Seeing her reaction, Ryan chuckled softly and joined her in bed. He knew tonight's operation allowed no room for mistakes. Wrapping an arm around her, he closed his eyes and soon fell into a deep sleep.
When the clock on the wall chimed at ten, Mary woke up and nudged Ryan awake. "Husband, it's already ten. Are you hungry? I can make something in the mindscape."
Ryan blinked the sleep away and shook his head. "Let's go out and eat instead. I also want to take a look at the situation outside."
He did not want to rely solely on Olivia's words. Seeing things with his own eyes would put him at ease.
According to Olivia, the restaurant and hotel allowed movement only after ten, and no one was permitted to leave. Ryan wanted to confirm this personally and then wait until after midnight to act.
