Mary, of course, knew nothing about the thoughts drifting through her husband's heart. She was sitting at the table, staring at the list he had made earlier, frowning deeply. The more she looked, the more things she realized they had forgotten.
Bed sheets. Curtains. A few daily necessities. Small things, but important ones. Somehow, they had all slipped her mind today.
With a long sigh, she called out, "Husband, are you done washing? Come here for a moment."
"I'm done," Ryan replied from the kitchen. "I'll be right out."
When he stepped over and saw her listless expression, his brows knitted together immediately. "What's wrong? You were fine just now."
Mary hesitated, then spoke with a bit of embarrassment. "Can you… still accompany me out tomorrow?"
Ryan instantly understood. "What did you forget to buy?"
