Chapter 33 - Observation Haki

Two days later.

Baltigo — Revolutionary Army Headquarters, Command Center.

Everyone's expressions carried a trace of joy.

Even the usually stern Terry Gilteo, head of intelligence control, looked noticeably more relaxed.

Just one day earlier, they had received a report from the Eastern Front.

Vice-Commander Ashiru personally confirmed that 470,000 tons of food had arrived safely at the frontlines. She even reminded Sabo to pass along her gratitude to Logan when the chance arose—now that supplies were secured, logistics were no longer a concern.

Even without any urgent crisis, Sabo remained fixated on the massive map pinned to the wall, rapidly analyzing intelligence from every theater of war.

Years of habit had taught him that hesitation, even for a moment, could cost countless lives.

"Chief of Staff!"

A communications officer suddenly shouted.

"Urgent message from the Eastern Front! Vice-Commander Ashiru requests an immediate call!"

Sabo instantly moved to the Den Den Mushi.

Everyone else turned their attention toward him, tension rising.

"Ashiru, this is Sabo," he said, his voice unexpectedly hoarse.

"What happened?"

For the first time in the command center, Sabo couldn't hide his unease.

His first thought was only one thing—

Did something happen to Brother Logan?

The Den Den Mushi burst out with excited, urgent speech.

"It's Brother Logan!"

"When he left yesterday, he eliminated three CP9 agents who had been embedded inside the Kayagato Kingdom!"

"Without their command structure, the entire kingdom has fallen into chaos. Our internal operatives confirm the royal court has convened an emergency council—they're discussing surrender!"

"I request instructions. If the Kayagato Kingdom surrenders… do we accept?"

Sabo let out a long breath, tension draining from his body.

A brilliant smile appeared on his face.

"Accept it."

The command center exploded into cheers.

"So Brother Logan isn't just fast and handsome—he's terrifyingly strong too!"

"I knew it! The first time I saw that kid, I liked him immediately! When he comes back, I'm drinking with him until we drop!"

Only Sabo sighed quietly.

"Brother Logan really is too reckless…"

He raised both hands slightly, pressing them downward.

The hall quickly fell silent.

"If the Kayagato Kingdom surrenders," Sabo said calmly,

"we proceed according to standard protocol."

"After entering the city—no unnecessary killing, no looting. Women and children are to be protected."

The Den Den Mushi responded immediately.

"Yes, Chief of Staff!"

Laughter soon filled the hall again.

By noon, a golden streak cut across the distant sky.

Moments later, the Flying Nimbus descended near the base.

Logan leapt down lightly, and the cloud drifted away on its own.

He could have used the system to teleport back instantly—but that felt far too conspicuous.

So he chose to return the old-fashioned way.

At the base entrance, the guards snapped to attention and saluted him, their eyes filled with respect.

Logan smiled faintly, already guessing why.

After asking for Sabo's location, he headed straight for the command center.

Along the way, anyone who saw him either saluted or stopped their work entirely, watching him with open admiration.

Upon entering the command center, Logan got straight to the point.

"No need to thank me. So—can I enter that small room now?"

"As I said before, I'll just stand at the doorway. I won't touch anything inside."

Sabo gave a bitter smile.

"I still don't understand why you're so obsessed with the Chief's office… but fine."

"Considering the contribution you just made, I'll allow it."

"But you can't stay long—and I'll go in with you."

Logan nodded easily.

"No problem. Just one look."

This time, no one objected.

Dragon was the Revolutionary Army's leader—the World Government's most wanted man. People worshipped him across the globe.

Given that Logan had just saved an entire campaign, no one felt his request was unreasonable.

In fact, Terry Gilteo even suspected Logan was deliberately making this request to give the Revolutionary Army a graceful way to repay him.

His gaze toward Logan softened unconsciously.

With Sabo's approval, the guards no longer blocked the door.

Please—let this be the one…

Logan stepped forward and gently pushed the office door.

But just as his hands touched the wood, a calm yet sharp voice sounded behind him.

"Logan."

"How about I go in with you?"

Everyone turned.

Their leader had returned.

"Welcome back, Chief!" the hall rang out in unison.

Logan's hand froze mid-air.

Opening the door felt awkward.

Not opening it felt even worse.

He turned back and looked at Dragon, smiling helplessly.

"Sure. With you along, that's even better."

Dragon nodded and pushed the door open himself.

Logan followed, stepping inside—

The moment his right foot touched the floor, a familiar voice echoed in his mind.

[Congratulations, Host. Revolutionary Army Base task completed.]

[Reward acquired: Observation Haki.]

Logan's lips curved into a satisfied smile.

Success.

In that instant, an indescribable awareness flooded his mind.

Everything felt… clearer.

He closed his eyes.

Within a three-hundred-meter radius, every presence revealed itself—locations, strengths, movements.

Buildings. Rooms above and below ground.

All of it formed a three-dimensional model inside his consciousness.

Each red point represented a living presence.

The brighter the point, the stronger the aura.

Some flickered like faint candle flames.

And then—

When his perception brushed against the office—

One presence blazed like a sun suspended in the sky.

Dragon's eyes narrowed.

He sensed the abnormal shift immediately.

Without hesitation, he stepped forward and threw a punch.

But before the strike even formed—

Logan, without warning, shifted half a step to the left.
