It has been two weeks since Kanao had joined the ATOM. She woke up very early, got freshen, then dressed up and meditated for about thirty minutes and then left for the ATOM. In her way to the ATOM she saw a boy from her Orbital was arguing on something with three boys. She reached them but those boys left already leaving Kanao's classmate angry.
"If I'm not wrong you're Sanji Shimada." she said
"Yeah." he looked at her with disgust. "What do you want from me?"
"What happened here?"
"Those jerks are from D-Orbital. They were my juniors in the middle school. Now they are two steps ahead of me."
"That's why they were mocking you, I guess." Kanao raised her left eye brow.
"Exactly. I hate them."
"That's fine. But you shouldn't let your guard down. If they hurt you let them do it. Then grab some proofs enough to expel them from here. As they know your potential, they think that you might be a threat to them. So, choose your steps wisely Shimada."
"Fine." Sanji sighed."I'll make sure of it n the future."
"And don't ever badmouth anyone if they have any proof of your misbehavior they can expel you."
Then she left for her Orbital-room. She entered the room and saw that a girl with sky blue hair and eyes was surrounded by some boys and girls as if she was some kind of model. Kanao noticed Yahiko was on his seat.
"So, what's happening?" she asked him.
"It's just she's being nice and friendly to others." he tapped the code in his table. "She also tried to approach me but I ignored her. Because of that some of the boys got angry at me and started yelling at me. i also ignored them. she's a headache for me."
"You're awfully rude." Kanao looked in his eyes.
"I'm just honest." then he again became as he always was.
After that Ms. Jigoro came.
"Take your seats please." she said keeping her eyes closed. "Gosh! I have to tell you this everyday. I mean, c'mon electrons, it has been two fricking weeks."
Kanao and Kanabe noticed that Yahiko was quite but unfocused to the class. After the class had ended, they approached him.
"Hey, Yahiko." Kanao said. "Why don't you pay attention to the studies?"
"Sis, it would be good if you asked him gently." Kanabe told her.
"I don't care. C'mon, answer me!"
"It's because I already know these." Yahiko tapped his fingers. "So, I don't wanna study them for the second time. and also,leave me alone." he left the classroom.
"Well he doesn't seem to care about recalling memories, isn't it, Kanao?"
Kanao was looking at Yahiko's fingers. He was tapping.
"What's wrong, sis?"
"He's saying that he left that habit long ago?" her tone was mixed with the emotion of getting shocked with something.
"What? How did he hear that?"
"I dunno either. The last time I called him a weirdo in my thoughts. But out of my surprise, he said that he wasn't a weirdo by finger tapping. The fact was he was walking ten steps ahead of me. I wonder how'd he do that?"
"Okay, let's forget about him for now."Kanabe tried to relax Kanao."So tell me, isn't your goal to get to the Nucleus?"
"If you ever use those words again, I swear I'll kill you for real." Kanao warned.
Yahiko was out of the ATOM, going to the library. On his way, again the girl from before came to him.
"Yahiko please, listen to me first." she said. Then he pulled out his notepad and wrote something.
"Uh, what? Please don't bother me. I wanna go to the library. I don't have time for this. You're bothering since the first day. I want to live my life peacefully.' oh, I am sorry. But wanna talk with you. Oh, another one. ' You're such a headache.' Why are you saying this to me? I just wannabe your friend."
Yahiko gave her another paper."'I don't want friends. Get out of my way.'Okay sorry, Yahiko."
All of this was seen by Yahiko. She was a little far behind them.
"Well that boy is such a weirdo." she muttered. But then she saw Yahiko tapping his fingers and saying that he isn't a weirdo.
"How the hell is he doing that?" Kanao thought and her face got darkened.
Then kanao went to the library to study. This way she passed an hour. After getting out of there she saw the boy with bright red hair, but couldn't see his face.
"Who is that boy?" then the girl who approached Yahiko before, came to her.
"Hello, kanao." she said .
"You're Izana Inomiya."
Wow, you remembered my name!"
"Bad luck I guess". Kanao muttered."Hey, why were you stalking Yahiko, huh?"
"Oh, Yahiko is super amazing. Do you know his passing marks in the entrance exam in each subject?"
"No."
"Then can you tell me the average passing marks?"
"It was 55."
"Yeah. Yahiko's passing marks in every subject is 55 also."
"What? Is it really true?" Kanao thought. "Did he did it intentionally do it?" she asked
"Maybe.That's why, I started liking him. But he always pushes me away. Um, kanao, you guys sit next to each other. Can you tell me his liking?"
"How'd I know? We aren't even that close. He's always inattentive to the class. He doesn't even pays attention on everything that much."
"Then it's fine. See you later, Kanao." Izana left for her room.
"Who knows?" Kanao sighed.
On the next day, after the class ended, Ms. Jigoro was about to give the schedule of the upcoming test.
"Hear me out, Electrons." she said.
"I'll give you the schedule for the written test for the last week of the month. Pass on the sheets, please. But listen, if anybody of you nuts fail in this test, even if it's for one single mark you'll be expelled from the ATOM."
"Um, teacher." Kanabe stood up.
"Yes, Kimamoto?" the teacher looked at his eagerly face.
"Um, if anybody fails can't we save that person? Is there any way for doing that?"
The teacher closed her eyes. "That'd be your problem to figure out. This kind of problem isn't because of the teacher's failure. That's yours." The teacher left.
Kanao looked at Yahiko. "Hey, Yahiko."she called him."Have any ideas for this situation?"
"Why ask me?" he tapped is fingers on the table. "Can't your brother and you figure this out? Don't drag me into these things."
"Why? You're also an important person in this orbital. We need everybody's support."
"Then, I can suggest only one thing. Study hard. If it's not individually possible then make a study group."
After a while, in the library, Kanao came with her group, actually they were-Yahiko, Kanabe, Izana, Sanji along with two boys who were Kimada Kanjori and Iraka Irakazu and another girl named Mai Kiza. Yahiko snapped and tapped his fingers.
"Why did you bring me here?"
"To help them, genius." Kanao replied."
"Who are you talking with?" Sanji asked.
"Yahiko." she sighed.
"Why is she here?" Yahiko again tapped his fingers.
"She's also good at studies."
"Who are you talking about?" Iraka asked.
"He's asking why Izana is here."
"Why Yahiko? Any problem with that? She's really good at studies. She can help you also?" Mai told him.
"You're joking, right?" Kanao asked Yahiko. Yahiko nodded in negative.
"What now?" Sanji asked.
"He's saying that he had finished his half syllabus."
Others got shocked.Yahiko tapped again.
"I see." Kanao muttered."He's saying that he always reads and studies. That's how he did it."
"Wow,Yahiko. You're really amazing!" Izana tried to get close to him. But Yahiko slapped her hand and tapped his fingers.
"He said that he came here to study, not to get flirted."
"Well that is rude, very rude." Mai said.
But Yahiko was seemed not to care about what he's saying. He tapped again.
"He said he is telling the truth and being honest. Anyways, let's start now."
In the evening, everyone came out from the library.
"I didn't know that Yahiko was this good at library." Kimada said.
"Wait, where's he?" Kanao noticed.
"Oh, there he is." Izana showed that Yahiko was walking already ahead of them without even letting them know.
"Wait a sec. When did he even got there?" Mai asked Izana.
kanao went to her room. Lying on the bed, she was thinking the day backwards again. She thought of Yahiko's behavior. Then she started to think of his eyes, hairs, poker face, his silence, even when he heard about the electron's expelling if they fail. Then she blushed because of thinking about him continuously.
"I guess they got to know where I am now." The masked boy said. He was standing on the road next to the river. "If they come here to disrupt my peaceful life, I'll destroy them." He got vanished in the dark.
