Kiera's hands shook as she clutched Leo close to her chest. The faint red light of the hidden device flickered in the shadows like a heartbeat—ominous, relentless, and terrifyingly close. Her pulse raced, each second stretching into an eternity.
"We need to find it," she said, voice tight. "Before it's too late."
Kade's hands were clenched, muscles tense. "Do you have any idea where it could be?"
Kiera shook her head. "No… Vivienne could have hidden it anywhere. The walls, the ceiling, even behind furniture."
Her sister groaned, struggling to sit up. "It's in the mansion… somewhere… she's planned this like a maze. One wrong move… and it goes off."
The stranger from before stepped closer, gloved hands moving with precision. "Listen carefully. You only have one chance to disable it. I've studied the devices, and this one is rigged differently. Kiera… you must stay calm, focus, and follow my instructions."
