I flew away and rejoined the other. We continue to follow the trail of destruction of the monsters as they destroyed two more villages, leaving no survivors this time.
I let the girl at the first village go because her despair and rage were truly delicious. I don't know what she will do, but if she comes back for revenge, it just means that I get another surprise meal. I don't think she can become powerful enough to give me a good fight, but one can hope.
After the third village is razed to the ground, Wendy finally can't contain her curiosity and asks me questions.
"Hum, Lady Lilith. C...can I ask you...why are we doing this?" she said, pointing at the destroyed village and at all the corpses in the central place. They all reunited here and started to pray to their god to save them. But it seems that Veldanava had other more important things to do than save a bunch of humans. Who would have thought?
Apparently not them, as they all had a look of betrayal when their prayers were not answered, and one of the mantises started to mow them down as they cried for God to come save them until the last moment.
'Man, zealots are really scary. So much stupidity in one person should be illegal.' Well, back to Wendy. I need to answer her questions, even if the answer should be obvious.
"I thought I told you? I am hungry, and I ran out of snacks. So I am having a little snack before we continue, and I can start the main dish in the kingdom of Manelas." She had a look of understanding but seemed unsure about something. She searched her word for some time before finally speaking.
"But do we really need to do that? I mean—" "Don't tell me that you have developed some kind of pity for these insignificant humans, Wendy." She had a look of fear and frantically shook her head.
"Of course not! It's just that I am worried about you, my lady. If what we are doing here is discovered, it could cause complications for the plan we have with Manelas. I never would have any thoughts of compassion for a creature so inferior to us. Maybe if they evolved to an appropriate level of strength. But like that, they are no better than ants."
I observed her for some time, and I detected no falsehood in her answer. She got me worried for a moment. I may have been human in the past, but I hold no attachment to my former brethren.
It would have been worrying if one of the succubus suddenly started to develop sentiments for them. They normally only respect strength and have interest in powerful people, as they have the instinct to seek their company to eat their emotion.
I would naturally understand if they developed interest in other things as time passed and maybe protected weak people if they had developed interest in them.
But developing pity for humans they don't even know would be worrying. Even Shiro, the most innocent of those present, doesn't show any compassion for the people getting massacred.
"You had me worried. If it is your only concern, don't worry. It is for that reason that I used these monsters to do my bidding, and the girl that saw my face is of no consequence.
It will take a week for her to find the nearest still-standing village and even longer for the rumor of me to reach the capital and start spreading to the nearby kingdom. By that time I would already control the kingdom of Manelas, and it will be too late to do anything."
That seemed to make all the succubus relax. It seems they were just worried for me.
"I apologize, Lady Lilith. My worries were misplaced. From now on I will never doubt your decision!" She bowed her head, and all the others followed behind her.
" " "We will always follow you, Lady Lilith! We vow to never betray you and to make your desire become reality!" " "
'I really lucked out to get such loyal subordinates. Forget what I said about zealots. They are kind of cute when they work for you.' After this heartfelt declaration, we continued to watch the show.
It seems we finally reached the capital, there were around 100 000 people inside. The soldier prepared for a fight, as apparently they had been informed by a scout that spotted the monster.
The panic and fear of the soldiers and civilians was delicious. They closed the grand door and prepared their bow. When the monster reached their range, the archer let loose their arrow. Most of them did nothing, but some managed to penetrate the skin of the beast and scratch it.
The archer continued to shoot the monsters but didn't manage to do more than scratch them. When the third salvo of arrows was finished, the first monster reached the door.
Even with the enchantments from the ten mages that they have, the door was destroyed after only three strikes.
When they passed the door, the first monster, a bear, was immediately killed by ten fireballs being hurled at him. The rest started to enter, but they didn't have too much space to move and ended up strained in a line.
That seemed to be exactly what the soldiers expected, as they were positioned perfectly and used long lances to attack and keep their distance.
They didn't manage to kill one of the monsters, but they held them off enough for the magician to finish casting another round of fireballs, killing two bears and one mantis.
The monsters finally managed to pass the narrow passage and started to rampage. It took one hour for the army of the kingdom to finally kill the last monsters.
By the end, sixty percent of the soldiers died, four of the mages also died, and an uncertain amount of civilians died or had become homeless due to the destruction all over the capital due to the fact that the monsters split up once they passed the soldiers' blockade.
All in all, a satisfying experience. Would do it again. Now that my stomach has been satisfied, we can resume our travel.
"Let's go, girl. We have a kingdom to take over and a war to start. We don't have time to waste."
'It's totally not my fault if we wasted time. Everyone who wants to object, have your balls crushed by me, or shut up for eternity.'
We continued to fly to the east, and two days later the capital of the kingdom of Manelas was in view. We fly above the wall surrounding it. No way I wait for my turn at the door like all the normal folks, and 300 girls suddenly entering together will alert even the most incompetent authority, and it will be bothersome to mind control all the people seeing us.
So we fly over the city concealed by a spell of mine. I spot what I assume is the royal palace and fly toward it. Now how do you take over a kingdom? Perhaps control the underworld and scheme to take control of the kingdom without anyone noticing.
Or help a power-hungry noble and make him the king by organizing a coup and rule the kingdom through him.
Or even become a hero loved by the people and take power by force when the people's adoration for you is so high that they wouldn't say anything if you overthrew the king.
All of these are valid answers if you want to spend months or years scheming in the dark, and you are a weakling. But the ultimate technique is really simple and is done in three steps.
Step one: discreetly go to the royal palace and go pay a visit to the king.
Step two: mind-control the king and make him order everyone of importance in the kingdom to assemble in the throne room for an important announcement.
Step three: when all the people that have even a little political power are all together in the throne room, mind control them too.
Congratulations, in three hours you have taken control of your kingdom. You can do it too. You just have to buy my formation on how to take over your kingdom for only 999.99 dollars.
Well enough joking around. I am currently sitting on the throne in the royal palace. Beside me are my three daughters and my secretary. In front of me are the king, the royal family, the royal advisors, the generals, and all the important nobles.
They are prostrating with the succubus beside them kneeling down. "Tell me, what are the countries you are currently at odds with that would be easy to start a war with?"
One of the generals responds to me, never detaching his eyes from the ground, "Your majesty, the kingdom is at odds with all our neighboring countries due to our politics of expansion. So it will shock no one if we declare war on either of them."
The more he talks, the more I realize how much I don't like mind-controlling people. I mean, look at him, all this devotion and fear for me and no emotions to eat. Talk about waste.
"Okay, and how many countries do you think you can wage wars against while still having a chance to win?" Another general responded to me.
"If we conscript the common folks, we could assemble an army of 50 000 men. Enough to wage war on two or three countries depending on the size of their kingdom."
"Okay, so what are the options?" This time it was one of the royal advisors who answered. I am starting to think that the king of this country is an idiot that doesn't even know the basic political situation of his own kingdom.
"There is, to the east, the kingdom of Damargania, in the east. There is also the kingdom of the elf to the north, or—"
"Okay, quick question to you all. Are you dumb? Is there a disease in this country that makes every human totally stupid, or is it just natural for you to be like that?" All the humans looked at each other, not comprehending what they did wrong.
The succubus looked at them like they had told them something stupid, like the earth is flat or the solution to gun violence is more guns.
"Your majesty, pardon me, but what did we do wrong? These kingdoms have no armies to speak of, as they have been at peace with everyone since their foundation." I facepalmed, and so did every succubus and Elysia.
"And it didn't occur to you that there was a reason for that?" The dimwits were even more confused. 'God, why do you test me in such a cruel way? Of all the dumbass countries in the world. I need to take control of the dumbest of them all.
"You fucking want to attack a country ruled by Dagruel and composed principally of giant, natural-born fighters and the Ultra-Sorcery Kingdom, a nation with more mages than soldiers that could destroy your country with a simple spell not even cast by their best mage!"
The humans covered in fear as I shouted at them. It's the first time that I need to shout at someone in this new life. Seriously, what is wrong with Veldanava for him to choose the human as the primary race in the universe? Did losing his omnipotence mess up his head, or does he think that it is fun to watch idiots do stupid shit?
"Just attack some of the human nation. You are dismissed." As they left to start preparing a war that will last more than ten minutes, I remembered something.
"Wait, who is your strongest combatant here? I didn't sense anyone that was strong even by your human standard. Don't you have anyone who is above the rest here?" They looked at each other before the ex-king responded.
"We have an otherworlder, but he is currently in another city to defeat a camp of orcs that has been growing too much these past few years and needs to be dealt with."
Now that was interesting, not because he was someone from my previous world. I don't care anymore about this world. It was far too boring anyway, even if I miss the series and anime, it is incomparable to the emotion I can feel here.
It was interesting because otherworlders are quite rare and are generally powerful with at least one unique skill.
"This otherworlder is held by a magic contract, so he would need to fight in the war no matter what, correct?" They nodded their head. It's a good thing I won't need to control him and lose his valuable emotion in the process.
"Good, start preparing for the war. You have two months before the start of it. Now go before you anger me anymore than you already have." The humans left the room as fast as they could without running, leaving only me, the succubus, and Elysia.
"Excuse me, my lady, but do you think it is wise to let these people prepare for a war without supervision?" I looked at Elysia and considered what she said. She was right. Who knows what they would be capable of doing?
For all I know, they would even be able to anger a true dragon, and I really don't want for them to come destroy this country. I mean, the death of all these people will be good, but I really don't want to fight one of them; even Veldora, the youngest, will be able to kill me relatively easily.
I could escape, but some of the succubi will die, and it will not be a good thing to lose subordinates so early. "You are right. Wendy, Sherry, and Shiro, you will supervise the humans. It will be good training for you for when we have our own country."
"Understood, we will not fail you, Lady Lilith." Wendy said, and then they left to monitor the humans.
"For the rest of you, you have permission to do whatever you want. But no mass destruction or death. I don't want this country to lose potential soldiers even before the war starts. Is that understood?"
They nodded their head and left. Leaving only me and Elysia in the room. I looked at her and decided that I could use some relaxation after having dealt with all this stupidity. So I took her arm and pulled her onto my lap.
"M...my lady! Wh...what are you doing! If we do it here, anyone can enter and see us!" Elysia said that, but she wasn't putting any resistance in her struggle to escape my embrace.
"Come on, it will be fun, and the risk of being seen will be exciting." I gently caressed her nipple through her clothes with my left hand, while my right hand caressed her thigh and was approaching her core.
I think I will have some fun during the time I wait for the start of the war.

Two months later
I looked at the three armies facing each other. Soldiers were anxious but still ready to die for their country. There were around 100 000 people in total. With someone strong. In a few minutes all of them will engage in an act of savagery known as war.
All the violence and death will be so beautiful. And the waiting in these was killing me.
'Start this war already. I can't wait anymore.'
