I made a chill chapter today a sort of transition for the next arc.
I had fun will making it. It was practically writing itself, of all the chapter I made it certainly the one I prefer, so I will appreciate having your impression on it.
Good reading to you all.

'Ahhh.... When will we arrive?'
I am currently flying over a human kingdom with Elysia in my arm, as she can't fly like us succubus that have the intrinsic skill for it.
Behind me are all 300 succubus. We are flying above the clouds, and I am using a barrier to mask all our aura. We have left the facility for three days, and I have realized that I may have developed a little addiction to emotions.
I mean, it is the thing that makes me most happy in the world, but I thought that I could go with just the one of Elysia, the succubus, and the various little kingdoms on our way. But I didn't account for the fact that I have grown so accustomed to quality emotions with my fight with Luminous and the people in the facility being far stronger than any human in these little kingdoms will ever be.
I can't even correctly eat the succubus emotion because they have far better control of it than anyone else due to the nature of our race. They also can't eat my emotion, but it's less about my nature and more about the fact that I have so little to begin with.
All to say that I am seriously starving here, so much in fact. That I am going to do something stupid that could get some unwanted attention, but at that point I really don't care.
With the speed of the succubi, we will reach the kingdom of Manelas in two days, and I won't be able to wait. I already burned my reserve of luminous snacks I stocked up on before we left, and I am hungry.
I stop in the air, and all the others stop after me. They seem confused about why I did stop.
"Why did you stop, Lady Lilith? Are you fatigued? hungry? Do you want me to go search for something for you?"
"Yes, Wendy, as a matter of fact, I am hungry. Can you go search for the strongest monster around? Don't kill them. Only mind control them and bring them here." She goes to say something, but when I look at her, she gets cold sweat and immediately goes fufil my order, followed by the others.
I wait for one hour, and finally they come back with ten bears, five mantises, and two lizards. The bears are around 5 meters, the mantis 6 meters, and the lizards are around 4 meters. They all are weak, but they will do the job.
I fly to the ground. Immediately the monster looks at me with wariness. It seems that even if my aura makes them see me in a good light, their instinct is telling them I am dangerous.
"Good job. I will take it from here." I use my emotional aura at full power and break their ego and make them totally loyal to me.
"There is a kingdom in this direction. Go there and cause a maximum of destruction and death." They immediately go in the direction I pointed to. Running with all their might. Not caring about anything but fulfilling my order.
"Let's go." I flew away in the direction where my new minion had gone. The succubus followed me, confused by my action but still too afraid to ask me questions.
Thirty minutes later the monsters reached a little village of around one hundred inhabitants. I stopped and enjoyed the show. All these humans seeing the monsters rushing to them. The look of horrors on their face when they realized that it was too late to call for help. The determination of a few brave men standing up and volunteering to sacrifice themselves to offer some time for the others to evacuate. The cries and tears of their wives and children begging them to flee with them. The false promises that everything will be alright and that they will survive and come back to them.
'God, do I love it. It is not even the main dish, but the food is certainly of quality. I wish I had popcorn to enjoy the show.'
I continued to watch as thirty men armed with what they had on hand. Pitchforks, hoes, and wooden planks attached together to make a makeshift shield. Only the leader of the group seemed to have decent gear, an iron sword, metal armor, and a proper wooden shield.Maybe he is a retired soldier or knight?
But for all his equipment, he is also the one with the most despair in his heart, even if he hid it well from the other men by his side.
He probably realized that his sacrifice will be useless. The over one still thinks or has convinced themselves that they can hold the monsters off for a few minutes, letting their loved ones have a chance to escape. But the reality is that even if there was only one of these monsters it will be able to wipe them out by simply charging through them.
The monsters are now a hundred meters away from them. They charge in with a battle cry to mask their fear, weapons raised, ready to defend their village to the death, and just like I predicted, they don't even have the opportunity to make a single strike, as they get eviscerated by the monster as they pass through them like they aren't even here.
The lucky ones are transformed into bloody mist by the collision. But the less fortunate are left agonizing on the ground, their limbs mangled, the bones having pierced the skin and being visible, and that is when they still have limbs. The ex-soldier is also still alive, missing his right arm up to his shoulder. His left arm is fractured at three different points, and the bone is visible. Its legs are missing, and its intestines are spilling on the ground. It will mean a quick death normally, but here in this world the vitality that he has gained from his training means that he still has a few minutes of agonizing pain before death can claim him.
It's the perfect amount of time for him to hear the cry of despair from the villager a minute later as they are also killed and for some eaten alive. His eyes are filled with pain, sadness, rage, and ... hope?
How come he still has hope in this situation? But my response comes when I sense someone approaching from the woods near the village.

POV: ???
It's the morning. The sun was beginning to rise in the sky, and the first ray was shining through the window. Outside I could hear the sound of a sword fending the air rhythmically.
After a minute I woke up. I dressed myself up in a white shirt and black pants, not very ladylike, but it was comfortable, and I couldn't train in a dress.
I heard my mother call me for breakfast, so I hurried to the kitchen, where a simple meal was on the table.
"Good morning, sweetie. Did you sleep well?" My mom asked me. I started to eat and answered her.
"Yes, I slept well. But where is Lucas?" Lucas is my little brother. He is three and is too young to help around the house, so he generally goes to play with the children of the other villagers instead.
"He is still sleeping. But are you fine? During your training yesterday, you got some bruises. Are they all healed?" She was talking about the training I do with my dad.
He is an ex-soldier of the kingdom and is super strong. I have never managed to beat him in a fight, and I have been training since I was ten. When I am of age, I want to become like him and protect the kingdom and its people.
"I am okay, Mom. They all healed during the night, and I need to go search for some herbs in the forest, so I will only train in the afternoon." She nodded and continued to eat her meal.
"That's fine then, but be careful. There are beasts in the woods." She was worrying about me, but I honestly didn't have anything to fear. I was strong enough to fight some beast, so except if a monster attacked me, I would be fine, but it was unlikely, as they generally rested in their territory far more east from there.
"I will, Mom, don't worry." I finished my meal, grabbed a bag to collect the herbs, and left the house.
"Bye, see you later."
"Be careful, sweety. I love you."
When I arrived at the front of the house, I saw my father training with his sword. I waved at him and went in the direction of the forest.
"I will go search for some herds. I will be back for dinner." He didn't look at me but still responded.
"Okay, don't be late, or you will do double the training when you come back." I winced at the menace of more training and hurried to the forest.
After three hours I finally finished collecting all the herbs. It took me some time, and I was even attacked by a wild beast, but I took care of it with my dagger, a gift from my dad when I started training.
I started to go back to the village, but as I approached, I could hear people scream in terror and rapidly fade into silence. Fearing the worst, I started to run through the forest, hoping that everything was alright. After all if there was danger, my dad could take care of it, right?
But my hope was crushed when I left the forest. In front of the village, I saw a dozen men covered in blood, some not moving.
I rushed, and after tripping and falling due to my panic, I arrived and saw the men in a pool of their own blood, their limbs bent unnaturally and their organs spilling from their open wounds. The smell of blood, shit, and death assaulted my nose and made me vomit.
"BLEURG! Ahhh. Ahhh. BLEURG! Ahhh…"
After emptying the content of my stomach, I heard a faint voice calling me. I saw my dad further away, and I ran to him.
"DAD! WHAT HAPPENED! ARE you all right...?" My screaming stopped when I saw the state of my father. I started to cry, frantically searching for something to stop the hemorrhagie while trying to put back his intestine inside him.
"Sophia, listen to me. I...I don't have...much time, so...I will go to...the essential. You ... need to survive, Sophia ... In our house ... under our bed there is our savings ... Take it and go... Live your life."
"SHUT UP! DON'T DO THIS! I ca...I can still save you!" I looked at his eyes as they dimmed, and I frantically put the herbs I collected on his wound, hoping for a miracle. But reality was cruel, and nothing worked.
"N...no matter what happens...always know that your...mother and...I love...y..." he said, using his last strength to push his sword toward me, and then nothing.
"Da...Dad? DAD, WAKE UP! YOU NEED TO WAKE UP! YOU NEED... to... wake up.... Please, Dad... wake up." I embraced the corpse of my father, his body still warm. I cried and cried. I don't know how much time passed, but is corpse was already cold by the time I was interrupted in my cry.
"That really was a touching scene, but it will be even better with the rest of the family, don't you think?" I heard the voice of a woman, and when she finished, the sound of two objects hitting the ground beside me.
I looked, the first thing I saw was the visage of my mother, a look of horror fixed on her face for eternity.
Beside her I saw my little brother, but it was only his head, fear and incomprehension were written on it.
Finally I looked at the woman. She was wearing a short black dress that covered until her hips and black high heels. She also had a black tail attached to her back and wings on her hips, clearly showing she was not human. Her hair swayed with the wind, and she had a happy, almost sadistic smile on her face.
I rested stunned at the vision in front of me. Paralyzed by the view of all my family dead in front of me.
"Ah, I see you are too shocked by my beauty to say anything. It's understandable, I will let you have a minute to appreciate it. After all, I owe you this much. The emotion of your parents and of the other villagers was really delicious, far better than I would have expected from a bunch of weaklings."
She said something, but I only understood one thing. She is the one responsible for my family's death. And she will pay for that!
I took the sword of my father and slashed at her. But she stopped the sword with only one finger by placing it on the edge of the sword.
"Now calm down, young girl. I understand that you are living a traumatic event, your parents are dead, and bla bla bla. But I have good news for you. I, Lilith, the first succubus, in my infinite kindness, will spare your life. Yes, I know I am far too kind for this cruel world, but I am like that."
I continued to slash as she spoke, but the sword didn't do any damage. After a minute of continuous slashing, I fell down and broke into tears, the monster calling itself Lilith doing nothing. Her happy smile never living her face.
"Well, I think I have overstayed my welcome. I will leave you now. See you later or never, I don't really care. Goodbye, have a nice trauma."
She flew off in the distance. That day, I promised myself. that I will do everything in my power to track her down and kill her, no matter if I need to sell my soul for that.

Surprise, I bet you weren't expecting that. The story isn't tagged 'dark' just because of the hair color of my OC after all.
But seriously it is my fav chapter so far, and I even thinked of what to do with the end of the chapter, as I was writing it.
Still want your comment on it. I hope you passed a good Christmas and I will see you tomorrow bye.
