Then he laughed. A low, satisfied laugh that gradually grew louder.
"We did it." He turned excitedly toward the men standing behind him.
"Father... see? We finally did it."
The words escaped his mouth before he even realized what he had said.
The smile on his face immediately faded.His expression stiffened.
He had just exposed the one person he had intended to keep hidden.
Raymond's sharp eyes narrowed."Father?" he repeated slowly.
His gaze swept across the seven masked men standing inside the office.
"Gerald is here too?" Silence.No one answered.
Lucas cursed inwardly."Damn it..."
In his excitement, he had carelessly revealed far more than he intended.
For several seconds, no one moved.Then Lucas slowly let out a long sigh.
"It doesn't matter anymore," he muttered.
His eyes met Raymond's once again. A cold smile returned to his face.
"You're right." He glanced toward Liam.
"After all... Liam is here too."
Liam remained expressionless. Lucas chuckled.
