"I think the night has come to an end. Maybe this can be continued later… in the privacy of your home," Damon spoke out, his patience finally running thin with the shameless couple in front of him.
"You are right." Raymond reluctantly broke the hug, though his fingers lingered at Lena's waist a second longer than necessary. "But sometimes I wonder how you managed to become a doctor when you lack patience."
Damon grinned, completely unbothered. "You forgot, a very damn good doctor at that."
Hearing his retort, Raymond simply shook his head, a faint smile tugging at his lips. He still had one final act left for the night, and timing was everything. So he agreed to leave with Damon, not wanting to miss their cue.
With Lena's hand locked securely in his, their fingers intertwined as though they belonged there, the group made their way downstairs.
The moment they stepped into the grand hall, the air shifted.
