Chapter Seventy-Nine – Paranormal Realm 75
"More of everything. Anything. Just... more." I could hear how I sounded, demanding and sharp and completely unlike my normal self, but I couldn't seem to modulate it. "Please. I'm still so hungry."
"I'll inform the kitchens," Vael said, and he left again, moving faster this time.
I sat there with the empty bowl, one hand on my bump, feeling the triplets moving restlessly. They could probably sense my agitation, my hunger, whatever this was that had taken over my normally reasonable appetite and turned it into something desperate.
Lucian appeared before Vael returned, and the concern on his face was obvious.
"Vael said you're not feeling well," he said, crossing the room in a few long strides. "What's wrong?"
