Aria stared at him.
"That was it?"
"Pretty much."
She blinked.
"I expected something more dramatic."
Jax laughed.
"You almost blew the roof off."
Aria looked at him.
"Seriously?"
"Yeah."
West smiled.
"Your awakening is complete."
Aria slowly smiled.
For the first time, she wasn't completely helpless in a world filled with people capable of doing things she couldn't even comprehend.
Now she had the ability to stand on her own.
West then turned toward his parents and Liz.
He reached into his inventory again.
Three small amulets appeared.
They were dark metallic pendants with glowing cores.
He handed one to each of them.
"These are protective amulets."
His father examined his.
"What do they do?"
"They'll automatically activate if you're exposed to a dangerous awakened attack."
