The air was tense, the silence between that befell the Nightosphere was unnatural and all the more unnerving. I the Lord of the Nightosphere with my army of hundreds of thousands of demons vs mere humans.
"I really wouldn't want it to come to this", Yaeger said.
"You have tested the patience of a god, you deserve what's coming".
He chuckled, his sheepish laugh making my skin boil, "Oh please, what's a god to a non-believer".
Almost on cue, Finn dashed towards me covering the distance between us and slamming his blade against me.
I managed to morph my right hand into a blade of my own, blocking off the attack but the force pushed me backwards. He came rushing in again relentless as we clashed blades over and over, the demons had begun to attack the remaining intruders and I and Finn's bout had gotten a few metres away from them.
I dodged a heavy thrust to my face in the nick of time then opened my mouth wide and searched for his soul.
My powers danced around him for half a second, but nothing was found, he had no soul.
I then morphed my hand back before releasing a ball of destructive energy.
It ripped through the humans side and sent him hurdling back, he crashed into the a pillar with resounding force, there was a brief pause as I waited to see if he was still alive, after the dust cleared I saw him.
He was getting back on his feet, still holding his sword tightly and his gaze still fixed on me. He had a wound through the side of his stomach, more than a wound, it should be fatal.
It looked like the entire left section of his abdomen was ripped away but even after that, there was no blood pouring out nor did he show signs of any pain.
I could see some white from his rib cage and as he took a step, a portion of his intestines rolled out and onto the floor but then the would began to close.
In a few seconds his bones grew back then his organs grew back, then the muscles, then the skin. Yet he didn't bleed.
It's true, he isn't human.
He bolted towards me and I did the same forming another blade in both my arms, we clashed over and over again, the shockwave destroying the environment.
Then he landed a thrust into my leg, then my stomach then my heart, I winced in pain for a millisecond before sending a barrage of blasts at close range.
His speed increased rapidly as he deflected numerous blasts but three made contact, one exploding on his leg, one his arm and one at the side of his face.
The heap of explosions flung him back but not before he thrusted his blade through my neck. He landed firmly, his legs already regenerated from the blasts with the rest of his body following.
I ripped the blade from my neck and began to regenerate but with his sword in my hand, he blurred out of view, instantaneously appearing beside me and landing a deadly punch on my face.
The force sent me flying, I tumbled to the floor three times before catching myself, so he can use some form of teleportation?
"Ahh your fight has been really fun to watch", Yaeger voice caught through.
He was walking towards us unscathed, that's when I heard it. A loud cry resonated from behind him, I had been so focused on the match that I didn't notice, my demons, they're all dead.
I looked over to Yaeger, "I see now that you're far from normal, you're a devil through and through".
"Oh come on, like I'm the only devil here".
If these guys are strong enough to eradicate all the demons here without the help of Finn, then I surely can't take them all. The best thing to do is to escape to my portal in my room but that's a ways away so it'll be dangerous.
"What are you??", I asked, turning to Yaeger.
"I can tell you aren't human and you aren't from this world so why are you here?? And how did you even enter??".
Yaeger looked at me for a moment before saying, "To conquer".
His answer made me sigh, far far too generic. The rest of his goons walked around me, surrounding me from every angle, but I can make it out.
Although with the merge, the portal may not work properly or at least how I'd hope but as long as it gets me out of here, perhaps I should try and find the Finn from Marceline's universe, he could help.
I put my gaze on the comet Finn, his lifeless eyes staring back at me with bloodlust. Will that Finn even be able to survive an altercation with this one??
I looked up at the red sky then sent a barrage of destructive blasts all round me, using the chance, I began sprinting away from them.
I could tell they were already hot on the chase as footsteps rushed not far from me.
A flicker of blue light from above caught my attention, in the air, about to swing his sword, Comet Finn was emitting flickers of royal blue light like lightning dancing on his skin.
Was that bastard holding back on me?? What could he have done to become this powerful??
The flashes became more rampant and brighter, completely changing the sky of the Nightosphere then he swung his sword at me, a giant shreak of blue light ripped through the air and came crashing down at me.
I morphed my body once more, gigantifying myself and then wrapping myself over my elongated arms protecting myself.
The energy slash tore through my skin with remarkable ease, it cut through muscle, organs and even bone and before you knew it, my gigantic form was cut in half.
My vision darkened and blurred as I crashed onto the floor, "Take his…body…".
"This isn't enough to kill him".
Yaeger was right about that but how would I get out of this.
Marceline, I hope you're doing alright.
