"Surrender… or die."
On the desolate island, Lancelot was enveloped in a radiant golden-red aura, resembling a celestial war god. His ruby-red eyes overlooked the mutants below.
Testing the limits of his idealized physique, Lancelot unleashed his full power, effortlessly defeating everyone on the island.
Even Hei Huangxiao could not measure up.
As Lancelot issued his ultimatum to the mutants, Hei Huangxiao was the first to rise.
He lifted his head, icy eyes locking onto Lancelot, stunned to see golden-red energy radiating from Lancelot's entire body, centered around his heart.
"This… he has energy absorption too?" Hei Huangxiao's face darkened. Mimicking Lancelot's stance, he tried to explode upward from the ground.
But nothing happened. A mushroom cloud erupted beneath Hei Huangxiao's feet. His "Zero 20" energy surged violently against Lancelot, but the golden-red energy armor of Lancelot's idealized body absorbed and controlled the assault effortlessly.
"Die by my hand." Hei Huangxiao's gaze was grim. He condensed the energy under his feet into a colossal mushroom cloud and hurled it upward at Lancelot with ferocious force.
"Hei Huangxiao?" Lancelot allowed the energy to envelop him, letting his body consume it. His golden-red aura thickened, forming what looked like an impenetrable armor.
Boom!
Lancelot glanced at Hei Huangxiao, subtly adjusting his center of gravity. In an instant, he transformed into a sphere of golden energy and appeared before Hei Huangxiao. His right hand shot out like an iron clamp, gripping Hei Huangxiao's neck.
"Who else dares resist?" Lancelot held Hei Huangxiao aloft, surveying the island with satisfaction.
Professor X and Magneto remained silent.
"Lancelot… we surrender." Hei Huangxiao, panting and flushed with exertion, finally bowed before the dominant Lancelot.
"Very well. Sebastian Shaw, you shall inherit the glory and evolution of mutants." Lancelot released Hei Huangxiao casually, his gaze approving.
"Together, we surrender." Behind Hei Huangxiao, the Hellfire Club's Red Devils, Flood Explorer, and Dragonfly Girl hesitated, then bowed under Hei Huangxiao's signal.
"And you? Surrender… or die?" Lancelot's eyes scanned the remaining Hellfire Club members. He had no fear of a feigned surrender—Geass solved everything.
He then turned toward Professor X and Magneto, who were communicating telepathically at level five.
"I'll kill him… I'll kill Hei Huangxiao!" Magneto roared in the psychic realm, blinded by anger and resentment, now furious that Hei Huangxiao had survived and joined Lancelot's Evolution House.
"Calm down, Erik. We are no match for Lancelot," Professor X attempted to soothe him, but it had no effect.
With no other choice, Professor X erased Magneto's memory of Hei Huangxiao.
"Lancelot… we surrender." Guilt in his eyes, Professor X spoke, and after erasing the memory, Magneto's rage dissolved.
Hatred vanished. Magneto turned to Lancelot, his devotion absolute. In this moment, mutants were all he loved.
"Mutant and glory." Magneto dropped to one knee, his voice trembling with fervor as he addressed Lancelot.
Clash.
Even Professor X and Magneto surrendered. The X-Men exchanged glances, then fell to their knees before Lancelot.
"Excellent. Your surrender bears witness to the glorious future of mutants."
"Now… I, Lancelot, King of Mutants." Lancelot hovered in the air, crimson eyes alight. A fiery bird flapped its wings behind him, its cries piercing the sky.
Chirp.
A phoenix-like bird spread its wings behind Lancelot, radiating terrifying psychic energy.
"Serve me as your king! Serve me as your master!" Lancelot commanded the Hellfire Club mutants with Geass.
A new king had ascended.
Mutants surrendered.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
With Lancelot's Geass, the Evolution-type mutants previously on the Soviet flagship instantly appeared on the island, surrounding him.
White Queen Emma and Mystique Raven stood alongside Lancelot, Saber-tooth Victor, and the Card Emperor. Remy led other mutants to either side.
"All hail our king!"
Every mutant, including the newly surrendered, cried out in unison. Except for Professor X, all saw a fiery red bird in their eyes.
Geass: categorically enforced.
"My Eternal King."
The deafening roar filled the island. Lancelot floated above, regal and proud. He raised his hand lightly, a true king in both manner and appearance.
Lancelot had finally claimed his stage.
The day of the first battle of mutants had also become the coronation of their new king.
"Monsters… monsters…" On the U.S. flagship, General William stared at Lancelot suspended above the island, terror etched into his face.
"Open fire. Destroy the monsters."
Following his command, dozens of warships turned their turrets toward the island.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Missiles streaked into the sky over the open sea.
Lancelot's expression remained indifferent.
"Children, perish." His entire body transformed into golden light, appearing at the heart of the missile barrage almost instantaneously.
As the missiles approached, Lancelot waved his hand. They exploded around him, harmless, their fire, shockwaves, and energy rushing toward his body.
Like a black hole, Lancelot absorbed it all. Across the open sea, thousands of missiles ignited like fireworks, visible as light but making no sound.
Rumble.
Lancelot stood at the center of the explosion, warmth coursing through his body. His golden-red aura surged to the heavens like a god descending.
"My mutant comrades…"
"Drive these children away."
