Chapter 55: Encounter with Peach Rabbit
On the endless sea, a massive Marine battleship slowly advanced across the waves.
Standing on its deck were rows of imposing Marine soldiers, rifles in hand—their sharp gazes and composed stances marking them as elites among elites.
At the bow of the ship stood a graceful yet commanding figure. Her cold, alluring eyes gazed steadily out toward the horizon, the sunlight glinting faintly off her long, pale legs.
"Vice Admiral Momousagi, we've spotted a pirate ship ahead," a Marine officer reported respectfully as he approached.
Draped in a white coat of justice, Momousagi—Pink Rabbit—wore a pink V-cut uniform trimmed with lace that accentuated her perfect figure. She raised one slender hand, and the soldier, not daring to meet her eyes, hurriedly offered her a telescope.
Momousagi accepted it and brought it to her eyes, scanning the sea.
After a brief sweep, she spotted a ship at her left diagonal.
"What pirate crew is that?" she asked coolly.
"It's an unregistered crew, ma'am. But the man aboard is Summoner Ze—bounty, sixty million. Likely his newly established pirate group."
The elite officer straightened his back and continued, "Summoner Ze was originally a lone pirate hunter from the East Blue. In just a few days, he wiped out most of the pirates there—never leaving survivors. Extremely ruthless. He killed a noble from a World Government member nation in Loguetown and was subsequently wanted."
"Killed a World Noble, did he…"
Momousagi's tone turned noticeably colder.
The officer felt the air around them drop several degrees but dared not speak further.
"Prepare to apprehend him," Momousagi ordered, her crimson lips parting slightly as her voice cut through the wind.
Though she had little affection for the so-called Celestial Dragons, the law of this world was absolute: once you committed a crime—no matter how great your previous deeds—you would be erased.
He was a pirate now, and as a Marine, her duty was to capture him.
"Yes, ma'am!"
The elite Marine saluted sharply and turned to relay the order.
Moments later, the battleship pivoted hard and began to close in on the Dragon Flame Pirates' ship.
Meanwhile, high above—nearly a thousand meters in the air—a Pterosaur circled silently, its sharp vertical pupils locked on the Marine warship below, glowing with a feral light.
On the distant Dragon Flame ship, Jiang Qize stood at the bow. His expression hardened the moment he received the warning from his Pterosaur, wukong.
When he saw the enormous battleship closing in, his eyes turned cold.
"The Marines again."
He had no love for the Navy—at least not the one that now served as the World Government's obedient dog.
"Let's hope you're strong enough," he murmured, a faint, dangerous smile tugging at his lips. "Otherwise, stay buried in this sea."
Yes—he had decided to take them head-on.
Soon, the two ships were less than fifty meters apart.
"Vice Admiral Momousagi, the target is within firing range. Should we—?"
"No need," Momousagi said coldly.
Standing tall at the bow, her eyes flashed with sharp light. Her slender hand moved to the crimson longblade at her hip. With a sudden motion—
Shing!
A fifty-meter scarlet slash tore through the air, ripping across the sea toward the Dragon Flame Pirates' ship. The surface of the ocean split apart, and the wound it left refused to close.
Boom!
On the Dragon Flame ship, the Bronze Giant—Raptorex—stepped forward, landing with a thunderous crash in front of Jiang Qize. His arms shifted into twin massive steel blades, which he crossed and swung upward.
Clang! Clang!
Two brilliant white slashes, each fifteen meters long, crossed in an X-shape to meet the incoming scarlet blade.
Rumble…!
The slashes collided midair, unleashing a violent burst of sword energy that exploded outward. The sea erupted into a crater dozens of meters wide, the waves churning wildly within it.
Pink Rabbit's strike had the upper hand—shattering Raptorex's twin slashes before weakening only slightly as it continued cutting toward the Dragon Flame Pirates' ship.
