Chapter 36: The Amazing Little Gorilla
Soon, every bounty hunter on this street was either dead or sprawled on the ground.
The entire street was dyed red with blood. Even the air carried a faint crimson mist, and under the sunlight, the scene looked strangely eerie.
"Roar~!"
The ten-meter-tall little gorilla let out a mighty roar before returning to Jiang Qize. Its body quickly began to shrink—
And in no time, it had returned to its original size.
Jiang Qize looked at it curiously. "Xiao Xing, you can transform too? I really underestimated you."
"Ou uh~" The little gorilla grinned, letting out a cheerful sound.
Jiang Qize chuckled.
He had already guessed where the little gorilla came from. Most likely, it was a product of genetic research.
Boom… boom… boom…
The ground began to tremble slightly. The humanoid Raptorex walked over, carrying Camon on his shoulder. His body was also splattered with blood.
"Sir!"
The Raptorex set Camon down and called out to Jiang Qize.
This time, the reason he had slaughtered all those bounty hunters in humanoid form was mainly to get used to this new body.
"Mm. Go buy what we need, and let's rest here for two days. Fix up the ship while we're at it."
Jiang Qize nodded.
There should still be plenty of supplies left in this town.
Now that those bounty hunters were gone, he figured he might as well take whatever was left.
Even if there were still a few people who hadn't fled, they were already scared out of their wits—none of them would dare cause trouble.
"Yes, sir!"
Camon responded excitedly.
So strong! Their captain was so powerful that he made countless bounty hunters flee for their lives.
This—this was the kind of crew he'd always wanted. The Kasha Pirates he used to serve with only pillaged villages and killed helpless civilians, which he had always despised.
Then they began strolling through the street. Whenever they saw a shop with useful supplies, they simply walked in and took what they needed.
With the Raptorex around, there was nothing they couldn't take.
Some shopkeepers hadn't escaped yet, but none of them dared to speak. They could only watch helplessly as the group took whatever they pleased.
…
Meanwhile, in another town—
A young man in a suit and glasses stood watching from across the street, a notebook in his hand. A Den Den Mushi sat perched on his shoulder.
"Summoner Ze—bounty, sixty million. Ability unknown. Extremely fast. Suspected Devil Fruit user. Subordinate 'Raptorex' can transform into a bronze giant. Hands can turn into blades. Possible Cut-Cut Fruit ability."
"Camon—former navigator of the kasha Pirates from the East Blue. Power level: none."
"Nico Robin—'Devil Child,' Hana Hana no Mi user. Bounty, seventy-nine million."
"Gorilla—Summoner Ze's pet. Possible Devil Fruit user."
Leander adjusted his glasses, his intelligent eyes gleaming as he muttered to himself. The Den Den Mushi on his shoulder transmitted every word.
Then, a door appeared before him. He stepped through it—
and the door vanished.
Inside a tavern in that same town—
"Tch. Are we really just going to let this go?"
"We got scared off by some kid?"
"Damn it! So many bounty hunters like us, and we were all terrified by one brat. What a joke!"
In the dim light of the tavern, several round tables were occupied by bounty hunters with fierce, twisted faces. Their eyes glinted with malice as their hands clenched tightly.
But beneath that anger, there was fear.
"We couldn't even scratch that bronze giant under the summoner's command. What the hell are we supposed to fight him with? And that gorilla too…"
"Let's just wait. They'll probably leave soon anyway. Pirates don't stay in one place for long."
One bounty hunter said in a low, heavy voice.
