Chapter 52 - Chapter 35 Gaya Island

Nami looked at the text on the Eternal Pose and pondered.

"Jaya? Is that the monkey's lair?"

Luffy mumbled, a lollipop in his mouth.

(Orochimaru exchanged it for an octopus; otherwise, it would have been takoyaki.)

"Are we going to Jaya next?"

Nami, with a shark-like expression, roared at Luffy, "Isn't that for you, the Captain, to decide, you idiot!"

The going merry set sail for Jaya.

Inside a tavern in Mock Town on Jaya Island, two men were playing cards. Orochimaru watched with interest. Oh, this white-haired man's gambling skills are quite good.

The white-haired man sneered at the person opposite him, "Kid... you've lost all your cash. Are you going to bet your underwear?"

Looking at the blond man opposite him, he remembered he was a small pirate, what was his name again? Bellamy the Hyena? It seemed to be that.

But this big-chested blond, is losing every gamble a curse? Their genders aren't even the same.

Orochimaru's mouth twitched. He carefully scrutinized the blond punk. Orochimaru paused for a moment; no, how could he think that? This was absolutely Tsunade's most tragic slander.

Just as his thoughts wandered, he saw the blond man renege on his debt, refusing to admit it and claiming the other party cheated. Orochimaru frowned. Although the white-haired man wasn't a good person either, he won fair and square.

To renege after losing, how could such trash be compared to Tsunade? He had truly been deluded just now.

It wasn't until this person and his accomplices twisted the facts, claiming the other party cheated, that Orochimaru again felt angry and ashamed for having thought of Tsunade through this person just now. Although no one knew about it, Orochimaru felt inexplicably displeased seeing this Bellamy...

Orochimaru's pale hand gripped Bellamy's wrist, which was reaching for his gun. His voice was hoarse, "Will you take them off yourself, or should I find someone to help you?" Just now, while Orochimaru was thinking, he seemed to have heard the white-haired man say that the blond man had lost his underwear.

"What???" The obstructed Bellamy didn't react at first to Orochimaru's words. After realizing, his face turned red with anger. Where did this person spring from? Didn't he know his, Bellamy's, great name?

"I am Bellamy the Hyena! A great pirate with a bounty of over fifty million!"

The white-haired man recovered, and hearing Orochimaru's words, he quickly interjected, "That's right! This man has lost his underwear! A bet is a bet!" He no longer cared about offending anyone. If someone helped him, even if he died, he had to get his revenge. This was Mock Town, where strength and money reigned supreme.

Hearing the white-haired man's words, Orochimaru didn't say another word. He directly tied up Bellamy and his accomplices and threw them to the white-haired man. "Collect your winnings; I don't care about anything else."

The white-haired man grinned menacingly and advanced towards Bellamy. Orochimaru didn't care what the final outcome was; it would dirty his eyes. He turned and left, but he could guarantee that the other party's undergarments were likely gone, as he had heard a tearing sound.

As for what happened after? None of them were good people. If a Devil Fruit user was killed by an ordinary person, then they deserved to die.

Orochimaru wandered aimlessly, wondering where Luffy and the others had run off to.

Didn't he just go to watch the fun? These few people were gone, really... Don't wander off! Didn't Nami follow them? How could they still get lost? It's really a headache.

Orochimaru casually took an apple from a dying old apple vendor and ate it as he walked. Why was this apple so soft and tingling? Hmm... the taste wasn't bad... As Orochimaru thought this, he suddenly heard a commotion. It was the blond man who had his undergarments stripped, entering a tavern with an angry expression, causing a disturbance. He was quite fast! Who was he going to vent his anger on?

Orochimaru, eating the poisoned apple, followed curiously. The people around him, seeing the seemingly normal but purple-glowing apple in his hand, kept their distance.

As he reached the tavern entrance, he heard a group of people laughing inside. Orochimaru was curious; who was the unlucky one? Let him see.

He poked half his head inside and saw the red-vested boy with the straw hat sitting on the ground. Orochimaru instantly also got a shark-like expression, "You guys are the unlucky ones!!!"

Meanwhile, Bellamy was still mocking Luffy and the others' unrealistic dreams.

"Sky Island? The era of dreaming pirates is long over. All this talk of a Golden City is a lie, hahahaha!"

Orochimaru walked in with a gloomy expression, stepping on Bellamy's face.

"You, who don't even have underwear! What right do you have to talk about dreams?" He stomped the person into the ground so deeply that he couldn't be pulled out.

"Let's go, Luffy... Zoro, we still need to buy things," Orochimaru bent down, pulled the two up, and gestured for Nami to follow.

"Oh, oh, oh..." Luffy, having reacted, subconsciously followed.

"Orochimaru, why does no underwear mean no dreams...?"

"Because dreams are like underwear; everyone has them. It's just that ordinary people like to wear them inside, and superheroes wear them outside."

"Soga! So I'm a superhero... Then why did you say that person didn't have underwear?" Luffy asked, somewhat confused.

"Oh... because he just gambled cards with someone, lost, and had them stripped off. So he doesn't have any."

Zoro's face twitched. "How do you know that?"

"Oh... it was the white-haired guy lying on the ground just now, who knows if he's dead or not, who stripped them. I helped him out of kindness, but good kids shouldn't learn from that. We must reject gambling, drugs, and pornography."

Nami covered her face, not knowing why she felt a little embarrassed.

Nami, who had been sulking, now felt some sympathy for Bellamy. No wonder he was so angry when he came in.

On the going merry, Orochimaru was wiping Luffy's face with a rag, and Chopper was carefully disinfecting Luffy's wounds with cotton.

At Chopper's strong insistence, Orochimaru's abilities were refused for everyday minor injuries.

The group talked about what happened in Mock Town, and everyone's expressions were subtly directed at Orochimaru.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Orochimaru asked, somewhat confused, "Did I do something?"

Looking at the person who had clearly done something very excessive but was unaware, they all waved their hands in unison, somewhat speechless.

"Nothing... nothing at all."

Soon after, Robin boarded the ship with many bags and gave Luffy a map.

"The place marked with an 'X' is said to be where an eccentric old man lives, someone not accepted by the people of Jaya Island. His name is Mont Blanc Cricket. He was exiled for talking extensively about dreams. You should get along with him."

Luffy was very interested. "Then let's go see him."

The going merry sailed steadily towards the other side of Jaya Island.

Luffy looked at the huge green ship opposite them, somewhat speechless... "Why do we encounter these weird things every time we set sail?"

Looking at the group of monkeys on that ship and their green leader, Luffy's eyes seemed to dim. (˚ ᆺ ˚)

"Your facial features are truly unique... What kind of monkey are you?"

The green leader roared at Luffy, "I'm a human!!! You bastard!"
