"Hey hey, Shun-chan." Nejire floated around Isshun, admiring the large, silver halo floating on top of his head, poking it.
Isshun on the other hand, was grading the mock exam he prepared for her.
"Hmm?"
"...Now that the Entrance Exam is coming up, I kind of realized something," Nejire put her hand on her chin in thought.
"What have you realized?" Isshun asked, marking off a question wrong, getting a frown from Nejire.
Nejire floated down, covering Isshun's vision of the mock exam with her face. "Well, you know that there's two parts to the Entrance Exam?"
Isshun just continued grading the mock exam even with Nejire covering up his entire vision, to her dismay.
Isshun raised an eyebrow, "I don't need the context, just get to the point."
Nejire hmphed at Isshun cutting off her question, but still continued. "I realized that I only know how to fly with my Quirk! How am I supposed to fight the robots just by flying!"
Isshun blinked, before looking into Nejire's eyes, eyebrows raised in questioning.
"...Just shoot your Quirk as hard as you can?"
That got Nejire to pout, reaching out to tilt Isshun's head so not only were his eyes looking straight at her, but his head was looking in her direction.
"Shun-chan-sensei!" Nejire yelled with a serious expression on her face, royal blue looking straight into vanilla gold.
"...Yes, Student Nejire?"
"Teach me!" Nejire asked with sparkling eyes.
After all, while she did know how to fly with Isshun's assistance(him catching her), she seldom had chances to use her own Quirk offensively.
Naturally, because using her Quirk in public spaces without a Hero License was illegal.
And while her parents were fine with Nejire using her Quirk to move around, they weren't fine with her using it for offensive purposes.
So despite her control over her Quirk being much higher in order to properly control her flight, she hadn't had the opportunity to actually go big boom boom.
"What am I supposed to even teach you? Do I look like I have your Quirk?" Isshun complained.
"No~" Nejire drawled, "But you know everything! Right?"
Isshun paused, before setting down her mock exam.
"Well… do you know how a drill works?"
--<>--
"So, feeling tired or anything?" Isshun asked, looking at the demolished tree, before teleporting it back together piece by piece, even teleporting the leaves back onto the tree, to the marvel of Nejire.
"Nope!"
After Nejire's request, as what was expected(?) of her tutor until the U.A. Entrance Exams, Isshun had started bringing her to an uninhabited mountain with the permission of her parents.
Since Isshun personally didn't want Nejire to work on her Quirk in addition to working out, the original time allocated to working out was merely split in half, where the first half was dedicated to both maintaining and building her stamina and the second was working on her Quirk.
"But…Shun-chan…" Nejire asked, poking at the newly fixed tree.
"Hmm?"
"This doesn't look that pretty." She pouted, displaying the two yellow spirals going in opposite directions before converging on a sharp tip.
"...Are you insulting the beauty of a drill?" Isshun questioned, sat down on a nearby tree stump, eyes closed in a lotus pose.
"Well…" Nejire looked away awkwardly.
After all, even if she was a little spoiled due to a specific friend of hers, even she knew it was a little ungrateful to complain after Isshun had given her such an effective move set, despite not even having a similar Quirk.
It's just…
…But why only drills?
Were drills secretly the pinnacle of human weaponry?
Now, she liked spirals, sure.
And Shun-chan's advice and analysis were top-tier as always.
But her bestest friend's only moveset he made for her was:
Drill arms.
Drill shot.
Drill shield.
And whenever she wanted to learn something more, he went all cryptic like:
"I fear not the girl who practiced ten thousand drills once, but has practiced one drill ten thousand times."
What was that even supposed to mean?
Shun-chan was the smartest person she knew, yet Shun-chan was only giving her three moves, even when he definitely could think of more!
At this point it wouldn't be the Blueberry Vanilla Duo, but just Vanilla with a side of Blueberry Sprinkles!
Her older sister authority(which never existed) was in danger!
While Nejire was overcomplicating stuff in her head, Isshun opened his eyes, looking at her with an exasperated look on his face.
"Nejire."
"Hm?" She looked toward her best friend, pout on her face.
"I hope you remember that this tutoring isn't to make you a Pro Hero," Isshun raised an eyebrow, "I'm tutoring you to get into a school meant to teach you how to become a Pro Hero."
That made Nejire pause at his statement, yet Isshun still continued.
"With the three moves I came up with, passing the exam is basically inevitable," He rested his chin on the back of his hand, an amused smile on his face.
"And when you get into U.A., you can learn from the actual teachers there about flashy moves or something like that, instead of asking your childhood friend who's two years younger than you."
Nejire, who just got clocked with a decent argument, went silent, a small blush of embarrassment creeping onto her face, retorting with a weak excuse, eyes darting away from his expression.
"...It's just because you're too smart, Shun-chan!" She uselessly complained, a sheepish tone in her voice.
"It's easy to forget…" She mumbled at the end.
"Heh. Is that so?" Isshun's smile grew. "Then I'm honored."
"Hmph!" She turned her head away, pouting. "You win this time!"
"Sure."
With that statement, Nejire quickly shifted the topic, "What are you doing, Shun-chan? Are you doing that cultivation thing that you've been into recently?"
"I'm just meditating."
However, unknowingly to Nejire, what Isshun was actually doing was extrapolating his formulas.
--<>--
He had only discovered this recently, but not only did his computational ability increase overtime, something else changed.
His Personal Reality.
Now, when he reincarnated into this world, he was given the Shirai Kuroko Template, which gave him her Personal Reality and Esper Abilities, along with her calculations.
A Personal Reality was the usage of quantum theory to be able to ignore the Uncertainty Principle based on the user's own image of the world.
Now, in the Toaru world, Espers who underwent the Power Curriculum Program would have their own brains rewired in order to create a Personal Reality, while also having the effect of removing their chances to learn Magic.
However, Shunkan Isshun was an exception to this rule.
What ROB had essentially done, was give an MHA Human a Personal Reality without any change within Isshun's own brain.
And a defining feature of MHA Humans was 'Adaptation'.
How else would people whose Quirks gave them no physical enhancements be able to display inhuman feats?
This didn't mean that only Isshun's brain had modified itself in order to house a Personal Reality.
It was a case of both the Personal Reality and the brain modifying themselves to display such abilities, due to his own Quirk being offshoots of his parents.
This combination of brain and Personal Reality was what gave Precognition to Isshun.
The reason behind why Laplace's Demon wasn't possible was because of the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle.
However.
What did a Personal Reality allow the user to do?
Ignore the Uncertainty Principle.
Isshun's Precognition was just a side effect of the combination of a Personal Reality and his own Quirk.
However, his Personal Reality, despite starting as Shirai Kuroko's, Shunkan Isshun's own image of the world was fundamentally different.
When ROB had given him the ability, it had one rule attached.
Namely, that the formula that ROB had given would work 100% of the time.
This meant that despite Isshun's own view of the world differing from Shirai Kuroko's, it would still allow the usage of that formula.
So Isshun, unlike Shirai Kuroko, was able to develop his Omniscient Domain by creating offshoots of the original Teleportation Formula.
Now, after creating these formulas, Isshun didn't particularly need anything else.
However, with the development of his halo, development was necessary.
Before explaining the reason behind this development, it's also necessary how teleportation actually worked.
When Isshun teleported one object into another in his childhood, he had initially assumed that the original object before the teleported object went into it was basically eviscerated.
What actually happened however, was that the object originally in that space would move in a different spatial dimension.
Because Isshun's teleportation wasn't technically teleportation.
It was movement within a higher dimensional space.
Let's say we had a blank sheet of paper, representing two dimensional space.
What Isshun was doing was taking a small square out of that sheet of paper, and then moving it to a different location on that paper.
That small square would take the place of what was originally on the area it was transported to, displacing the original object there into third dimensional space, which couldn't be seen on a two dimensional plane.
This was why when Isshun teleported into the air, the air wouldn't be fused with his body or anything.
So if Isshun mirrored the formula, the original object displaced would come back into three dimensional space.
However, this gave Isshun an idea.
Isshun couldn't just continuously teleport the halo above his head to give the illusion that it was floating above his head.
Because if anything actually touched it, the continuously teleporting halo would displace whatever touched it into a higher dimension.
So, after a few weeks of extrapolation—using all of his computational ability on the single task of creating new formulas—Isshun discovered something.
He…could actually use three dimensional formulas.
When he found that out, the first thought he had was:
'So I guess I didn't actually lie to that homeless guy and rat.'
Extrapolating further, Isshun was finally able to spatially lock his halo above his head, using himself as the origin point.
It was only then that he showed off his halo to Nejire.
Now, with his goal achieved, he was just doing a side project.
Creating an inventory.
By transporting objects into a higher dimension and back, he could create a makeshift inventory.
What would he use it for?
Who knows.
It was a side project for a reason.
So while training Nejire on her Quirk, he was just spending the time extrapolating formulas. However, his progress on this project was basically nonexistent.
After all, the formula had to be tailored to be usable for his Personal Reality as well.
But who knew when this would finish?
Yet Isshun didn't even bother explaining this to Nejire. Just a mention of a higher dimension would freeze up her brain.

Isshun looked up at the darkening sky.
"Well, today's training ends here."
"Aww…" Nejire whined, but Isshun didn't listen, only holding out his hand for Nejire to grab onto.
"Are you scared?" Isshun teased, "There's only a week left until the Entrance Exam, you know."
"I'm always ready!" Nejire retorted.
"Then let's go home."
"Aww..."

A/N: This doesn't mean i've truly returned readers, so don't get your hopes up.
Here's my patreon announcement modified for wn.
For the webnovel readers, this may be unfortunate news, but my break will probably extend until i get at least 5-10 advance chapters on patreon so it actually serves its purpose, cause i want to savor this small break I have.
While a lot of powerstones look nice, i do feel like ive somewhat(as in i 100% have) been somewhat scamming the patreon.
So until patreon gets 5-10 advance chapters, whether it be for Blink or the cote fic, i won't be uploading on wn for those two fics in particular. There is no specific schedule here, cause of college stuff and inconsistency. It might take a week or two, idk.
--<>--
HOWEVER! I have a new fanfic idea that i'll upload on wn, which is a Jungle Juice fic, so go ahead and read it if you want. It's yuri tho so if you aren't into that, you don't need to read it and just wait for the cote and blink updates.
