Chapter 50 - Chapter 50: Sengoku's Continuous Surprises

Since waking up this morning, Onigumo felt something was off.

His left eyelid kept twitching incessantly.

According to the saying in the Flower Country, this seemed to be an ominous sign?

Onigumo certainly wouldn't believe in such superstitious sayings as omens, but even if he didn't believe in the mystical signs, he had to be wary of this kind of 'warning' coming from his body.

As a master who had trained the Six Powers and Life Return to the extreme, his body had developed a power similar to Observation Haki.

Like ants moving house before a rainstorm, this was a biological warning ability.

Could it be a pirate attack?

That's unlikely.

He was currently cruising in a warship near Marineford.

Who would be foolish enough to come and cause trouble near Marineford these days?

Just as he was staying in the warship's captain's cabin, silently contemplating this feeling, a subordinate suddenly pushed open the office door and reported urgently,

"Vice Admiral Onigumo, an unidentified flying object is rapidly approaching us!"

"What?"

Startled, Onigumo immediately drew the eight swords on his person.

Having trained Life Return to his hair, his long hair transformed into six hands, each gripping a sword, and he entered optimal combat readiness.

No matter who it was, anyone who dared to cause trouble near Marineford and challenge the dignity and justice of the Marines must be defeated!

Onigumo rushed out of the captain's cabin with a solemn determination, only to 'sense' a massive shadow.

Obscuring the sky and blocking the sunlight, Onigumo looked up and saw a vast, cold steel giant composed of complex mechanical structures, holding a huge shield in one hand and a beam saber in the other, suspended above them.

Although it was a similarly huge steel giant, the faces of the two mobile suits were distinctly different.

Onigumo tightened his grip on his weapons and roared loudly,

"What do you want? This is a Marine patrol unit.

Leave immediately, or it will be considered a provocation against the Marines!"

"Provocation is a bit excessive."

GP02 opened its right hand, revealing a Seastone-handcuffed and unconscious Shiki.

Shin's calm voice spread throughout the entire ship.

"Please contact Fleet Admiral Sengoku and tell him that your 'Steel Giant' with a 1.9 billion bounty is here to see you."

"Tell him I've captured the Golden Lion."

...

"Don't be ridiculous, Bartholomew Kuma! How could you let them run away with your abilities!!!"

At Marineford, in the Fleet Admiral's office, Fleet Admiral Sengoku, with a seagull on his head, roared loudly.

"Please give me a decent reason, okay? I'm the one who has to report to the higher-ups!!!"

Sengoku was currently very frustrated, extremely frustrated.

His old friend Garp's grandson had committed the serious crime of attacking Enies Lobby and then overturned the territory of the Warlord Moria.

These continuous acts of challenging the World Government had caused the Five Elders to pressure him more than once.

This time, he had intended to have Kuma, also a Warlord, deal with Garp's grandson, but unexpectedly, the Straw Hat Pirates had escaped again?

What a joke! Sengoku was aware of Kuma's strength.

His ability, developed to the extreme with the Paw-Paw Fruit, was among the top ranks even within the Warlords, far from being a weakling like Moria.

The result? Kuma, holding a book, wasted half a month returning to report, and then directly told Sengoku-the Straw Hat Pirates escaped!

Even if it was a deliberate release, he should have at least put on a show! The thought of how he would explain this to the Five Elders was giving Sengoku a splitting headache.

"Hahahaha, worthy of my grandson!"

Garp, sitting nearby, laughed heartlessly.

Sengoku glared at him fiercely and roared,

"Shut up, you bastard Garp! Do you know how much effort I and Momonga wasted dealing with your mess!"

"Your son is the leader of the Revolutionaries, your adopted grandson became the second division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates, and your biological grandson attacked Enies Lobby.

What are you planning to do next? Blow up Impel Down!!!"

"Ahahahaha, maybe so, hahahahaha." Garp laughed without a care.

Sengoku gasped heavily, but looking at Garp's demeanor, and thinking of another matter, his anger was subdued.

Garp still didn't know about that matter...

Half a month ago, Marshall D.

Teach (Blackbeard), who had betrayed the Whitebeard Pirates, approached the World Government with the captured Whitebeard Second Division Commander, Ace, demanding a Warlord position.

Although the Warlords are an organization used by the Five Elders to balance the Four Emperors and suppress the seas, they are not a position that any high-bounty pirate can simply take.

While Portgas D.

Ace's status as the Whitebeard Second Division Commander was sufficient, he was ultimately not a person of critical importance.

Combined with his identity as Garp's grandson, Blackbeard's desired Warlord position was actually not that easy to obtain.

Although the 'Sand Crocodile' Crocodile had already been stripped of his Warlord position by the Five Elders for attempting to interfere in Alabasta's internal affairs, there was another contender for the Warlord position besides Blackbeard.

'Whitebeard Jr.' Edward Weevil was the candidate favored by the Five Elders to replace Crocodile.

The problem, however, was that this pirate, who claimed to be Whitebeard's son, was the culprit who attacked the training ship of Sengoku's old friend, former Marine Admiral Zephyr, nine years ago, killing the recruits on board and even cutting off Zephyr's arm.

No matter what, Sengoku could not tolerate this murderer, who had severely harmed his old friend and the entire Marine organization, becoming a Warlord.

If he did that, Sengoku couldn't imagine how Zephyr would feel.

Sengoku had no choice.

To avoid completely hurting Zephyr, he had to report in the name of the Fleet Admiral, allowing Marshall D.

Teach to replace Crocodile as a Warlord.

Although this action was also indirectly hurting Garp, Garp should have expected this when he allowed his grandson to become a pirate.

In any case, given Ace's identity, he would just be imprisoned in Impel Down.

Sengoku also believed that the Five Elders would not risk angering Whitebeard by executing Ace; at least his life would not be in danger.

However, despite this, Sengoku still felt a little guilty towards Garp regarding this matter.

Since one of his grandsons was already captured, he would turn a blind eye to the other.

Anyway, the Straw Hat Pirates were not heinous criminals.

At least according to the information Sengoku had received, Garp's grandson had not done anything wicked.

Just then, the Den Den Mushi on Sengoku's desk suddenly rang.

With a static sound, Sengoku angrily picked up the Den Den Mushi.

"Onigumo? What is it!"

"Reporting, Fleet Admiral! We encountered the Steel Giant and are currently in a standoff with him!"

"Huh?" Sengoku's eyes widened.

"Also, he has captured the Golden Lion Shiki!"

"What?!"
