The world of One Piece really has many strange and interesting 'scientific' gadgets.
For example, the Den Den Mushi Shin holds.
It is said to establish a vast information network spanning the world through biological electrical waves.
These creatures can emit biological electrical waves, sharing information by establishing a public electrical channel with other Den Den Mushi.
In a sense, this is very similar to the 'Zerg' in StarCraft or Warhammer, but unfortunately, these Den Den Mushi lack a 'Queen' as a complete higher-level entity and the powerful ability for self-evolution.
Other interesting technologies include Lineage Factor, artificial Devil Fruits, and Transformation Battle Suits.
These technologies are all related to Dr.
Vegapunk, the genius said to have mastered technology 500 years ahead of his time.
Shin is really looking forward to meeting him, in every sense of the word.
Holding the unconscious Shiki in his hand, under the heightened alert of the entire Marine warship, Shin waited for the Den Den Mushi's response.
Soon after, the face of the Den Den Mushi in Shin's hand quickly transformed into a solemn and authoritative appearance, even vividly mimicking the glasses and beard.
"Are you the Steel Giant?"
Sengoku's authoritative voice came through the Den Den Mushi.
"That's the nickname you gave me.
My name is Poltorto, and the two mobile suits I use are not called 'Steel Giant,' a name so tacky," Shin said calmly.
"...You should be aware that you are already wanted by the World Government."
After a moment of silence, Sengoku spoke in a not-so-strict tone.
The order to hunt the Steel Giant was originally a request from the Five Elders.
If it were up to Sengoku, a person who, upon his first appearance, helped them almost eliminate the Four Emperor Big Mom, should not be dealt with by a bounty.
But thinking about it, the World Government treated Dr.
Vegapunk the same way.
For them, anyone who holds forbidden knowledge that they cannot control should be wanted.
"1.9 billion Berries.
I didn't expect to be worth so much," Shin chuckled.
"But being wanted feels very unpleasant, and I haven't done anything terribly bad, have I? So, I want to exchange the Golden Lion for a Warlord position.
What do you say, Fleet Admiral Sengoku?"
On the other end of the Den Den Mushi, Sengoku frowned.
He hated the Warlord position and anyone who wanted to obtain it.
"What do you want the Warlord position for?"
"Just to stop being wanted," Shin said calmly.
"Although cooperation with your World Government is an option, I don't want to end up like Dr.
Vegapunk, under house arrest.
Vegapunk has no ability to resist you, but I do."
"And Fleet Admiral Sengoku, I am not talking to you; I am talking to the World Government.
It seems that the ones who decide the Warlord quota are not the Marines-it's the World Government, right?"
Sengoku's forehead bulged with veins.
This was a fact.
The Warlords have never been subordinates of the Marines; in a sense, the Warlords, directly subordinate to the Five Elders, are on equal footing with the Marines.
They are 'King's Warlord' (Warlords), not 'Military Warlord.' Shin was correct; even as Fleet Admiral, Sengoku did not have the authority to deny or approve a Warlord appointment.
"You are too late.
Just yesterday, Crocodile's vacancy was already filled."
Sengoku stated bluntly.
"By Marshall D. Teach?" Shin laughed pleasantly.
"Indeed very powerful, after all, he captured such a 'big shot,' hehe. Fleet Admiral Sengoku, you wouldn't still not know the true identity of 'Fire Fist,' would you?"
Garp, who had been listening with interest nearby, froze.
He looked at Sengoku, and Sengoku, gritting his teeth, could only ignore his old friend's stunned gaze and said coldly,
"Don't be so arrogant, Steel Giant! Don't think you have the right to threaten the Marines just because you assassinated Big Mom!"
"I'm not threatening; I'm stating facts." Shin ignored the tense atmosphere around him and said calmly.
"The Warlords are indeed full now, but so what? I remember that half a month ago, Gecko Moria was defeated by Straw Hat Luffy. Oh, and Crocodile was also defeated by him, right?"
Sengoku raised an eyebrow.
This was not information that just anyone could know.
In fact, the World Government had kept the news of both Crocodile's and Moria's defeat well-hidden.
After all, it concerned the Warlords and the government's reputation.
Unless a new Warlord defeated a former Warlord to take the position, they would never admit to a Warlord's defeat.
"Let me discuss the specifics with the Five Elders. If you don't mind, I can follow Vice Admiral Onigumo's ship to Marineford to meet the Fleet Admiral." Shin shrugged.
"Fleet Admiral Sengoku, why make things so difficult? You know very well that I am not a heinous pirate; I am just a person who possesses a power the World Government cannot control."
"This is a transaction. I am trading the Golden Lion with the Marines, and I am trading something else with the World Government.
Fleet Admiral Sengoku, remember your duty and position.
You are just the Fleet Admiral of the Marines, not the Supreme Commander of the Three Forces, nor are you the Five Elders."
With that, Shin directly threw the Den Den Mushi to Onigumo and smiled,
"Let's go."
"...Bring him to Marineford to see me."
On the other end of the Den Den Mushi, Sengoku, who had been silent for a long time, said in a deep voice.
"You better not try any tricks, Steel Giant! The Marines... are not the disorganized Totto Land!"
...
Marineford Main Port
Onigumo's warship slowly sailed into Marineford's port.
The massive, towering Gate of Justice slowly opened.
The three Gates of Justice, established on underwater currents, cut off all paths for anyone traveling by sea to Marine Headquarters, Enies Lobby, and Impel Down.
Following Onigumo's warship, however, was a silent and huge humanoid steel giant.
The GP02 Gundam silently followed Onigumo's warship at the lowest speed, or rather, followed Shin's Prayer.
Neither the GP02 nor the person on Onigumo's warship was Shin's main body.
Including the one circling with Kaido, these three were all Prayers.
Shin looked at the unconscious Shiki beside him.
He was indeed a good partner.
After joining Shin's plan, Shiki generously sold off all his pirate subordinates.
Shiki had never considered these useless remnants as partners; he only gathered a bunch of trash pirates to fill his New Flying Pirates when he was being foolish.
But this trash was from Shiki's perspective.
For Shin, the eight Prayers he selected were all pirate experts with bounties over 50 million.
Compared to the protagonist crew and the Supernovas, they were certainly cannon fodder who could be defeated with one punch.
But among the vast number of pirates on the sea, these pirates could be called elites.
For Shin, the biggest use for these 'elites' was still as cannon fodder, but since they were cannon fodder, he didn't mind having better ones.
Because of Shin's intervention, Shiki's island was not destroyed by Luffy's 'Gomu Gomu no Thunder Axe.' The residents and Shiki's assets on the island also remained there.
Shiki generously left these to Shin, his partner, including Dr. Indigo and his scientists.
Shin naturally accepted everything with a smile.
As a future Warlord, he needed his own base.
A floating island fixed in the sky at 10,000 meters cannot compare to a usable mothership, but it was enough for now.
At least he would have a place for the Gundam's armament supply and maintenance in the future.
With Shin's current mental level, he could only control a maximum of ten Prayers.
Even this special grade artifact of the abyss could not control spirit indefinitely.
The result of excessive separation of will could lead to complete mental breakdown.
But he could feel that his soul and spirit were steadily increasing with the use of the mental subordination machine, just like gradually getting used to and perfecting things through continuous training.
But at the same time-his emotional level was steadily decreasing.
It was not a loss of rationality, but rather that complex and intense emotions were becoming weaker in his will, as if he... was gradually becoming an existence similar to that Poltorto.
Absolute calmness, absolute rationality, and complex emotions were gradually becoming insignificant in the face of rational calculation.
The system's warning was correct.
Excessive use of the mental subordination machine would cause irreversible negative effects on his spirit.
To escape this situation, he needed a further 'evolution.'
The coordinator's body could no longer satisfy Shin's growing needs.
He needed to strengthen his life further, but the implementation of this plan required slow preparation and groundwork.
He was not in a hurry.
At least for a long time in the future, he would not be worn down into a completely emotionless person by the mental subordination machine.
When Onigumo's ship, carrying him and the GP02 behind him, passed through the Gate of Justice and entered the port within Marineford's triple defense zone, Shin's first feeling was the solemnity that rushed towards him.
The huge Marine Headquarters main building was inscribed with the large characters 'Marine,' and in the center was a huge seagull, symbolizing the Marines.
There were no warships waiting in strict formation within the main port of Marineford, at least not like the 100,000 elite forces converging during the Summit War to confront Whitebeard.
Yet, Shin felt countless pairs of eyes directed at him as he entered the port.
They were scrutinizing, curious, or hostile.
The Marines' attitude towards him was inevitably unwelcome.
Even though Shin had never done anything bad, had not fought the Marines, and had even helped them teach the Four Emperors a lesson-a wanted pirate was always their enemy.
If he guessed correctly, at least two or more Admirals were waiting at Marine Headquarters, along with Sengoku, Garp, Momonga, and perhaps some secret CP0 agents.
Thinking of this, Shin couldn't help but look back at his GP02.
If he chose to act here, he would become the boldest pirate since Shiki.
Just pulling the trigger and launching the MK82 would cripple the entire Marine organization.
The idea was very tempting, but Shin held back.
Small impatience disrupts big plans.
Wasting an ultimate weapon just to destroy a mere Marineford was not worth it.
"I warn you, Steel Giant, this is Marineford. You'd better not harbor any small schemes, or you will be punished by justice."
Perhaps sensing Shin's overflowing malice, Onigumo warned him sternly before leaving the ship.
"Don't worry, Vice Admiral Onigumo. If I came here with malice-you wouldn't have seen me, and this place would already be gone."
Shin chuckled lightly.
The body wearing the Poltorto suit lightly jumped off the ship and stood on the Marineford harbor.
"Justice, huh~~~~"
Facing the sun, he looked up at the large characters 'Marine' and smiled strangely.
