[3 Days After the Hotspring Scene]
Sargon, Yue, and Hajime were standing in the middle of a magic circle together, preparing to finally leave the Orcus Labyrinth. Hajime looked at Yue and Sargon seriously as he started talking,
"Alright. We've made it this far together, but I doubt things will be easier going forward. In fact, I suspect that we'll have a lot of enemies once we do finally get out of here, what with the church and kingdom and whatnot. But as long as we have each other, we'll be able to overcome any obstacle," Hajime said looking at both his friend and his lover.
Yue and Sargon nodded in agreement. Hajime then turned to Sargon,
"Sargon, I'm only going to tell you this up front because you're my friend; I've made up my mind that I'm going home no matter what, bringing Yue in tow. Anyone who gets in my way, they'll die. I know that may not be something you approve of entirely, but I'm not going to let your disapproval stop me from doing what I need to. Know that if even you get in my way," Hajime stops and glares at Sargon, "I'll kill you."
Yue looked back and forth a little worriedly. Although Hajime is the one she loves, it'd be a lie to say that she didn't feel a little bit of camaraderie between her and Sargon. After all, he was the one who helped them beat the final dungeon monster as well as being one of the only people in Hajime's life he considered a friend. She'd hate for Hajime to eventually end up having to kill one of his friends.
Sargon looked back at Hajime's glare, noting its intensity before sighing and speaking up, "Promise me these things: 1, you never aim the end of your barrel at those who are innocent or unwilling to stand in your way. 2, consider bringing Kaori along with us. I'm not asking to actually do it, but simply consider. Uphold these 2 vows, and I will support you as best I can in the goal of returning to Japan."
Hajime looked at him for a moment before nodding slowly, "I can agree to those terms."
Sargon smiled, "Then I won't say anything more regarding the matter. Let us be on our way."
Both Yue and Hajime nodded in affirmation with Yue having a small smile on her face, relieved that he and Hajime wouldn't become enemies over the latter's apathy towards most people.
The circle underneath them then started to glow red as Sargon, Yue, and Hajime were enveloped in its light and then vanished.
The trio then ended up within another cave-like area. Hajime looked around irritated and a little worried, "Seriously? We're still not out of here," he exclaimed in outrage.
"Hajime, Sargon, look," Yue said as she pointed, "I think I see a bit of light coming from there."
Both boys looked towards where she pointed and also saw a little light, "Perhaps this is where we need to go," Sargon questioned.
Hajime then walked towards, with Sargon and Yue following close behind. The light at the end of the tunnel grew brighter and brighter as they continued to walk towards it. After a little bit, the reached the light, and what greeted them next was blue sky, canyon peaks, and outside air.
Hajime and Yue looked out in bewilderment, looked at each other, then looked at Sargon, who smiled at their reaction, "It seems to me that we have officially escaped the Great Orcus Labyrinth."
"Yeeeeessssss!" "We're out!"
Hajime and Yue respectively cheered out and celebrated the achievement of finally getting out of the labyrinth they were stuck in while Sargon nodded calmly, yet also experiencing a similar type of joy,
'I suppose the saying is true, "You never know how truly precious something is until it's gone,"' he thought silently.
Unfortunately, a group of goblins did not share the same sentiment as the trio and were in fact ignorant of their joy as they crept up on them.
Sargon sighed, "How rude. We were in the middle of celebrating a joyous occasion."
Hajime also sighed, but then smirked, "Yeah, but this isn't entirely bad. I now have willing test subjects to use for my upgraded weapons," he said maliciously before tucking his arms into his coat before pulling them back out again, this time with 2 futuristic looking weapons in the shape of guns.
"Bang bang bang bang!"
Loud noises were heard as Hajime fired his twin guns, Donner and Schlag at the goblin's heads, which instantly killed them.
(A/N: I imagine Donner and Schlag for this story having the same design as the ones from the manga. They're so much cooler to me)
As Hajime finished off the small group of goblins, Yue spoke up,
"So we're going to try to find the other Labyrinth's right? Where should we start?"
Sargon answered, "I say we start scouting this canyon for clues. Perhaps there's something here that can help us. But stay alert you 2, there's something about this canyon that doesn't sit right with me. Can you feel it," he asked.
Hajime walked towards them both, twin guns now within their holsters, and spoke in response, "Yeah, I've had that same feeling too. Can you both try casting something?"
Yue and Sargon attempted to cast a basic fireball within their hand, however it fizzled out as quickly as it formed, "It would seem this area has in place a system which reduces the potency of magic exposed externally," Sargon stated.
He then channeled magic within his body to strengthen it, which worked as intended and he felt no reduction in the action,
"However it would seem this system cannot affect magic channeled within the body. I attempted to test it and the magic potency remained unchanged from how I originally wished it to be," he continued.
Hajime sighed in frustration, "This is going to be a pain. Well, we better get moving," he said as he lifted his right hand up.
A ring on his pinky finger flashed for a bit before a motor cycle appeared next to them, "We'll travel faster like this, hop on–"
It was then Hajime realized that not all 3 of them were going to be able to fit on the motorcycle. After this realization he seatdropped,
"Uh, whoops. Sorry Sargon, but all 3 of us won't be able to fit on Stieff. Do you perhaps have a way to get around quickly," Hajime asked with a wry smile.
Sargon merely chuckled and tapped his cane on the ground. His shadow made a small ripple before formless dark matter arose from it, growing bigger until it eclipsed Sargon's height and then assumed a comprehensible form. What emerged was a dark purple horse with a flowing black mane that had glowing purple tips and eyes.
The horse neighed once it finished forming, raising its front legs and kicking them before setting them back down. Hajime and Yue's eyes widened,
"What the hell? How are you able to do that? I thought you were an Enchanter," Hajime asked, shocked.
Sargon climbed onto the horse's back and looked back to Hajime and Yue's stunned faces, chuckling once again at their apparent shock.
"I'd love to tell you the full story, but our current situation doesn't present the most opportune time and moment to do that. All that I can tell you right now is that my 'Enchanter Job Class' was in fact fake. As for how I'm able to do this, let's just say it was something that I was born with, though not necessarily to this extent," he said as he pointed to the horse in question.
Hajime and Yue looked at each other for a moment before Hajime shrugged and shook his head. Yue then got onto Steiff in front of Hajime and held on.
"Alright, let's make some progress and distance," Hajime said with a smirk as he revved up Steiff, popped a wheele, and proceeded to drive off.
Sargon shook his head and smiled as he saw Hajime do this before the horse did the equivalent of a wheele and bolted off in the same direction as Hajime.
It didn't take long for Sargon to catch up with Hajime and Yue while maintaining the same pace as them. Hajime looked to his left where Sargon was and met his gaze, both smiled at each other as they continued to ride off.
All of a sudden, a dust cloud could be seen in the distance that seemed to be going the opposite way they were heading. In other words, straight towards them. Upon closer look, the trio observed that it was a girl trying desperately to run away from a dinosaur-like creature with 2 heads on its body, though what was strange about this girl was the ears that were on top of her head, which resembled bunny ears.
"I finally found yooooouuuuuuu," the girl screamed as she ran towards them.
Hajime, Sargon, and Yue looked at the rabbit, then at each other, and promptly turned their mounts away from the screaming rabbit-girl.
Said rabbit-girl was appalled and shocked, "Hey! What're you doing?! You can't leave me like this," she exclaimed desperately trying to reach them.
The giant 2-headed monster then roared loudly as it stomped in front of it trying to crush the rabbit girl. Although it failed, the resulting shockwave generated from the stomp caused the girl to fly forward. As she flew, she screamed in terror, which then turned into grunts and gasps as she landed and rolled around.
When she tried to get up, the 2-headed dinosaur was already close to approaching her, both its maws opened in an effort to eat the poor girl. The girl trembled in fear and despair thinking how her life would end right there. But before she could die, she made one last final cry for help while she closed her eyes shut,
"Please help meeeeeeeee!"
"Pfffffwwwwhhhhh"
After a minute of not feeling sharp teeth digging in her flesh and the immense pain that'd follow, but also hearing a deafening blow close to her followed by being hit with a gust of wind, she opened one eye in front of her and then opened the other one at the sight she saw before her.
The giant 2-headed monster laid dead on the ground, its body seemingly crushed beneath a massive weight and pressure. But there was something else, or rather someone else. A person riding upon a dark purple horse that had something close to a spear in their right hand, which was embedded into the giant monster, their back currently turned to the girl.
The person then pulled the spear out of the monster's body, lifted it up, and swiped it to the side, flicking off the blood on the silvery metallic sheen of the pointy spear head. The spear head then seemingly morphed itself and shortened its length to the shaft of the spear, resembling that of a cane with a circular gold and blue pommel.
The horse then turned to face the girl, who was still awe struck by what she just witnessed, and walked over to her. The man the spoke to her gently,
"Are you ok Ms?"
