It was as if the Reaper were drawing lots. From time to time, a shell fired at godlike speed would strike their heads.
The more than one hundred vampire ninjas that had been brought back were slaughtered by Laffey in a very short time, being reduced to only eleven. Among the reformist faction, only Yuki remained. The rest were conservative faction vampire ninjas such as Sarasvati and Seraphim.
"Not dodging anymore? Then obediently accept your death. You won't feel any pain."
Laffey looked at the remaining eleven female vampire ninjas, their faces filled with despair. They no longer tried to run or dodge, instead standing together, staring at Laffey with extreme unwillingness.
They had already realized the enormous gap in strength. If they tried to fight, they stood no chance. If they tried to dodge or flee, they would be shot through the head immediately.
Laffey was like someone playing a game of whack-a-mole, randomly picking a "lucky" one and granting her a merciful, painless bombardment.
Watching the female ninjas whose bodies were trembling slightly from instinct, Laffey aimed the barrel at the utterly despairing girl whose crimson pupils had already faded—Yoshida Yuki.
Swish, swish, swish!
A sudden change occurred. Arrows of light materialized from all directions around Laffey, shooting toward her vital points.
"Laffey thought you would keep watching forever."
The sudden development did not cause much change in Laffey's expression. As if she had anticipated it, her figure blurred slightly. The arrows of light passed through her like striking the illusory moon reflected on a lake, easily allowing Laffey to evade an attack that had locked her down in all directions.
Clang!
A chilling blade hum rang out. From the shadow behind Laffey, a cold flash suddenly appeared, slashing toward her slender, snow-white neck.
Pa! Crack!
Laffey calmly turned around and lightly swung her palm.
The slashing blade was directly shattered, and in the same instant, the right arm of the one holding that special blade exploded into a mist of blood.
Laffey clearly saw the one who had appeared behind her to launch the sneak attack. It was a man dressed in white, unshaven, with a trace of blood at the corner of his mouth.
The supposedly foolproof ambush was effortlessly countered and reversed into a kill by Laffey. The Demon Baron's eyelid twitched as he glanced at his right arm, which had already turned into blood mist.
Damn it—was this cute little girl a monster? Just her physical strength alone was this terrifying?!
After shattering both the enemy's weapon and arm with a single slap, Laffey lifted one small foot clad in white stockings and kicked toward the man in front of her.
Boom!
A sonic boom cloud exploded instantly, blood mist scattering in all directions.
"Hmm…" Laffey raised an eyebrow as she looked at the suddenly vanished figure and the lingering blood mist. She felt that her attack had struck the opponent a little, but most of the force had been evaded.
Her weight and mass could be adjusted at will. She could be as light as an ordinary person, or effortlessly increase her mass and apply it to her body.
Every movement Laffey made—combined with her inherent mass—was capable of causing disaster-level destruction.
"Ara~~ how terrifying. So small and cute, yet possessing such pure physical power. Just what kind of existence are you, exactly?" A seductive, graceful voice came from far behind Laffey. It sounded light, soft, and irresistibly alluring.
"The dead don't need to know that much!"
Laffey spoke in a soft, gentle tone, yet the words themselves were extremely vicious. She calmly turned around and looked over, only to see the remaining vampire ninjas staring excitedly at the Demon Baron ahead of them, whose body had been shattered on one side.
Supporting him at his side was a girl. She wore a skirt that looked like something a middle schooler would wear, giving her a cute appearance, and over it she had on a white lab coat.
She had long silver-white hair, parted and tied into twin ponytails on either side of her small face, clearly forming an adorable twin-tail hairstyle.
Her pale yellow eyes shimmered as they locked tightly onto Laffey's expressionless face, a gentle smile lingering at the corners of her lips.
Magic power continued to flow from her hands, sustaining the person beside her. His terrifying injuries had been stabilized, but fighting again was likely out of the question.
This man, dressed in the same white coat as Ariel, was the Demon Baron. The Demon Baron was the leader of the vampire ninjas.
Their leader, whom they had thought was already dead, had suddenly appeared before them. How could they not be excited?
"Puah—!"
However, the leader himself was in terrible condition. Cursed by a certain queen, his body had long been in a near-death state, frequently coughing up blood. Now, with yet another serious injury added, his face immediately turned pale as he opened his mouth and vomited a large mouthful of blood.
Ariel was already used to this sight, but the vampire ninjas turned pale in shock. The bloody stench coming from him was unmistakable—this was indeed their leader.
"Leader, are you all right?!"
Selasbati rushed forward anxiously to support the Demon Baron, whose body was shattered on one side. He had just appeared after seemingly dying—he couldn't possibly die again at lightning speed now. The vampire ninjas had no one else to rely on but him.
"Sorry. The doctor said I shouldn't engage in intense activity or get injured."
The Demon Baron wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, his face pale as he spoke to Sarasvati beside him with a faint smile.
"That's simple. Then just stop moving forever, isn't that enough?"
Laffey replied casually. Artillery turrets materialized on both sides of her small body and locked onto their targets. Immediately, two shots fired toward the heads of the two newly appeared figures.
No matter who they were, according to the commander's orders, all humanoid beings within this area were to be exterminated.
"Ara~ no need to be so full of killing intent. Can't we have a proper talk?"
