Chapter 90- Be Careful Out There
The two continued eating their lunch together. The awkward mood had disappeared the moment Fiona came, and Elio finally felt like he could be himself. He hadn't noticed how much he liked Fiona's presence, even though she was perhaps the most intimidating person he would ever meet.
The fact that he became friends with someone of her title and influence was already ridiculous; the fact that he found her presence way more enjoyable than other random people of his level was even crazier.
But that was one thing added to the long list of ridiculous things that happened to Elio in the past 10 days or so. He had lost count of the abnormal things long ago and now was simply riding the wave and seeing where it led him.
As they ate food, the two talked about random topics that didn't relate to work or training. The two had found it quite enjoyable to just talk about things with each other without even realizing it.
