Chapter 25- Wonders And Records
"Power hungry, huh?" Elio muttered as he looked down. 'That does make sense. The sensation of getting stronger slowly, even while doing nothing, is so addictive. I can't imagine how much better it feels to actually grow stronger way faster. That explains why he said they're all power hungry.'
Elio was naturally not as ambitious as any of these people are. If anything, he had hesitated to even take this first step. So, anything else will come not from a sense of desire for power but rather a desire to find the peace he always wished for.
He wanted to find that life he had always dreamt of, and if that meant being a vampire hunter, then so be it. Sucking a deep breath, Elio nodded his head.
"I understand. I want to do everything within my power to become strong and help you. I don't know what the future holds for me, but I trust you, Fiona." Elio said with a smile on his face.
His words took the girl by surprise. Especially that last sentence, for some reason, it resonated with her and made her lose focus for a second.
'He trusts me?' She muttered. This wasn't something she had heard before. In fact, Fiona was someone who was constantly being trusted and relied on for her exceptional abilities. Even her arrogant father treated her as the true heir to his empire and gave her tasks he knew only she could pull off with perfect success.
However, for some reason, Elio's innocent words sounded far stronger and more genuine. They sounded like they came from his heart, and that made a big difference. She felt like Elio truly gave her all his belief, and he was simply letting her decide for him what he needed to do.
"Fiona?" At that moment, Alex called for her, snapping her out of her daze. She looked up and then shook her head.
"Yeah, I will make sure you achieve your full potential. That I guarantee." She said calmly. "Now, we need to move to the next step. Your training will begin immediately."
"Mhm! I'm ready!"
"Thank you for your time, George. Don't worry about the lab, I will take care of the matter." She said as she turned around and started walking away.
"Y-Yeah… I will just clean around a bit." The man said as he watched them walk out and then looked around him at the huge mess. "Clean around would be a stretch. Maybe just gather my stuff and leave."

"Where are we going now?" Elio asked.
"To a special place. One that will be perfect for your training for the next three months." She said.
"You're going to like this new place," Alex said. At that moment, he suddenly felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. Pulling it out, he looked at the message he received before he frowned.
"What? Now of all times?" He muttered under his breath before he finally looked up. "Well, it seems I won't be able to tag with you two. I have an urgent matter to deal with. I wished to see what his abilities are like, but well… That will have to wait."
"Mmm, is everything good?" Fiona asked, seemingly noticing his uncomfortable expression. "Is it…?"
"Yes. But don't worry. I will take care of it. Just focus on him. I will send you a message later."
"Mhm. Be careful." Fiona nodded, half convinced by his words. But, for now, Elio was far more important, so she decided to put the matter aside and let Alex handle it.
"Of course. I'm always careful~" Alex winked and then left.
"Let's go."
"Yes." Giving Alex one last glance, Elio chased after Fiona. 'I wonder if it's a matter related to his work as a vampire hunter.' He muttered to himself. It seemed pretty serious to him. 'I wonder if I will be like that in the future too. Receiving messages to go out and hunt monsters. That sounds so cool.'
He would be lying if he said that he didn't feed the child in him. The child who wanted to be a cool hero like the ones on TV. This was the closest he would ever be to that dream.
With that, the duo left the main mansion and walked into the next section, which was easily bigger than the entire front area. They walked through a path to a building on the other side. The building was very big and quite odd-looking. It appeared like a futuristic gymnasium with a sleek outer design.
After that, Fiona put her hand on the glass screen, making the door open automatically.
"Welcome back, Miss Fiona." A robotic voice welcomed her.
The interior of the building was shockingly one room. One vast room that stretched for hundreds of meters in each direction. The floor was cushioned with high-quality mats, and the walls were fortified and shiny. There were seats and closets with towels inside them but other than that, the entire place was completely empty.
"Wow, is this the training ground?"
"Yes. This is where I train daily. It has everything you will need in your journey."
"Everything?"
"Yeah, everything."
'I don't see much, to be honest…' Elio rubbed his head curiously. 'Does she mean that figuratively?'
"Well, I can tell that you don't know exactly what I'm talking about, so let me explain," Fiona said. "Hey, E, can you give me a sword?"
"Command accepted."
The robotic voice replied, and then a second later, seemingly out of thin air, a sword formed in Fiona's hand.
"What?!" Elio blurted out. "Where did that sword…"
"This is a technology only the Vaylors have. The physical holograms. Using this technology, we are capable of creating any objects out of small particles."
"..."
"Using this technology, you are going to be able to manifest everything you will need in your training. From weapons to enemies and even entire environments. Hey, E, create a rainy, dark city atmosphere."
"Understood."
Then, a second later, the entire place darkened, and the world around Elio changed. Suddenly, it was rainy, dark, and humid with the smell of the rain in his nose. Around him was a dark, gloomy city environment with empty roads and barely lit buildings."
"Wow… This is amazing… So amazing."
Elio had seen all kinds of ridiculous things over the past two days. From monsters to mysterious powers and everything in between, and yet nothing comes close to how mind-blowing this was.
"You will learn how to handle fights in all kinds of situations against all kinds of enemies. This will prepare you mentally for the real battles you will face ahead."
*Snap*
Snapping her fingers, the room returned to normal in a second.
"Now, before we begin, I want you to use your Record Reader rune and tell me all the details." She said as she crossed her arms.
"Oh, right, yes. Immediately." Elio nodded and quickly closed his eyes, bringing forth the very first rune he got.
'Record Reader.' He thought, and then, suddenly, an image appeared in his retina. Opening his eyes, he saw a floating box filled with information.
