Chapter 345 - Üç Yüz Kırk Beş

"Move away from the door!"

"We will kill you all!"

"My last warning, we will kill those who don't retreat!"

As Nora walked towards the door leaving the three people next to them behind, she saw that the voices increased and they could hear what was being talked about now. When they finally reached the scene of the incident, they found a hundred people from the survivors inside the structure forming a barricade with their bodies in front of the door.

Outside, a group of ten people struck the eye; there were uniform clothes on them, condescending looks in their eyes, and orders mixed with curses in their words.

"Kill them!"

Someone standing in front of the ten people shouted; his chest where he joined his two hands had swelled like a giant while giving this order.

"Hold your horses!"

The four people receiving the order leaped immediately, but when the three people coming in front of the crowd stood before them they had to stop.

"What's up, were you looking for someone?"

Nora spoke tilting her head slightly to the left; with her eyes, she was checking out the leader-looking type of the raiding team behind the four people.

The three people right behind him were familiar too; these were the people they gave the rusted food containers to their hands and sent packing.

The smile spreading on the Blood God's face hadn't pleased those in her point of view much; a roaring voice wanted to suppress her.

"Who put the Garbage House in this state, step forward!"

Nora and the two people next to her located in front of the others remained in their places; the others were inside the house.

"So it was you, with what courage do you do this?"

In the face of the daring question, Nora gave a harsh answer.

"In what capacity are you questioning me?"

The environment tensed like a wire about to snap; the two sides were talking resembling the strange meowing of cats waiting for an opportunity to attack each other.

"We are the unit responsible for the service and protection of the residences in this region. We came to punish those trying to destroy the Garbage House!"

"How do you plan to do this punishing business?"

"By cutting off both your hands of course!"

Laughter rose from the ten-person team; as for the side where Nora and her friends were, it was in deep silence.

"Will you do it with this many people?"

"Are you thinking of resisting, you would be signing your death warrant!"

These words became the last words between the two groups; Nora turned to her right side and called out to Alis.

"Don't kill but let a little mark remain!"

Then a slight wind blew; while the feet of the leader of the raiding group wanting to open his mouth were cut off from the ground, he wasn't even aware he was lifted into the air.

Before the duration of a breath passed, scream sounds rose; before those witnessing could understand what happened, the ten-person team was writhing on the ground.

"Know your place, this is no longer a place you will come according to your head and do ego satisfaction. This is my last warning to you, next time you cannot walk away scot-free like this."

When her words ended, Alis had taken his place on her right side again; parting the crowd forming a barricade in front of the door, they entered inside.

The people whose eyes widened enough to pop out of their sockets followed them too; the trio was like the sun rising on their dark nights.

Although the top and one side of the place had been open for a few hours, the bad air accumulated there at the door hadn't dispersed completely; Nora told them not to close the door.

They rapidly proceeded to the part facing the valley; the scenery of the slightly reddening horizon and the harsh air of the valley had made this place a neighbor to a scenery whose viewing couldn't be satisfied.

"Who is able-bodied?"

Dozens of people immediately stepped forward; this liveliness seemed to have pleased the Blood God, her harsh tone of voice softened a little.

"Using the stones remaining from the roof and the wall, make a pool here. It is enough if it has waist height, let one edge be flush with the gap opening to the valley!"

The people who lost their questioning functions a long time ago started doing what was told for dear life; as for the remaining ones, they were watching the trio. Nora poured the branches and brushwood she stored in her inter-spatial ring into the middle.

"You surround these with a few rows of stones, then burn them. A hungry bear doesn't dance, let's eat some food!"

The word food was as if it resurrected the people in a dead state in an instant; the crowd moving like a zombie horde came to life and started running around.

In a short time, a giant cauldron full of water appeared over the raging fire; in another corner, Count Jashua was minding his business without paying attention to those surrounding him.

"Jashua, keep a good eye on the meats, otherwise these will eat them raw!"

Nora teased mixed with laughter; the Young Count skinning the two elephant-sized creatures he hunted was surrounded.

"Sir, the pool you wanted is finished!"

Right at this time, those finishing the job Nora gave came and gave the news; the Blood God rapidly went next to the thing made.

"It will do, it will do!"

After a short inspection seeing something useful came out, she transferred a part of the water she stored in her ring here. Before ten seconds passed, the inside of the pool filled with clear water; although it leaked a little from between the stones, the structure generally maintained its integrity.

"Go inside, cleanse yourselves nicely. Let that heavy smell of yours go first!"

People who hadn't seen water or soap for years mostly couldn't be approached; even if they couldn't be cleaned thoroughly, their gross filth would go thanks to this.

At least this was Nora's plan, but the close to thirty people flocking inside ensured the color of the water became pitch black in a few seconds.

"There is nothing to do, scrub yourselves nicely. You will be cleaned in time now!"

The water which was unbearable even to look at for her was a blessing for the others. There were even those gargling grabbing handfuls without minding its color and smell.

When the first batch came out, a breach was opened from the part facing the valley and the water was discharged; Nora filled the pool again for the group to enter next.

In three or four batches like this, the permanent guests of the Garbage House were cleansed a little; a slight smell was coming from their skins but this state of someone who floundered in filth all this time could be understood.

While Nora was busy with cleaning, Count Jashua had skinned the hides, Alis had separated the creatures into pieces with the help of his two katanas.

The bony meats inside the boiling water were almost jumping on the surface of the wide-mouthed cauldron. With their every movement, the saliva flowing from the mouths of the people watching them hypnotized was accelerating.

"Alright, everyone get in line let's see!"

The distribution was very fast and none of the people whose lungs stuck to their backs from hunger dared to cause a disturbance. This could be because of the fear of losing or what they witnessed in the afternoon, but perhaps the share of them being treated like humans for the first time after years couldn't be alienated either.

Nora, Count Jashua, and Alis took the last three pieces and started eating; the situation literally shocked the others. The men who broke the order of the Garbage House, beat up the sect's servants, and offered them this food opportunity were eating the same thing as them.

Alis had cut the bites quite large too; an armful of meat fell to everyone. They ate the share falling to them resting; in fact, Nora had to warn some.

"Don't try to hide it in vain, Young Count Jashua is not a man to hunt only two creatures and return!"

Indeed, some, with the fear given by not being able to eat such a thing again, satisfied their stomachs a little and were trying to protect and watch over the remains like their child.

However, after Nora's words, they returned to eating burying their heads; since the people who hadn't eaten properly for a long time forgot to chew, it took an hour to finish their shares.

The weather had darkened slightly; people whose stomachs were like drums went to the edges of the walls and leaned their backs. It was time to enjoy looking at the natural beauty of the valley, but dozens of people flocking inside the Garbage House with harsh steps broke all the magic.
