Chapter 104 - Yüz Dört

"Master!"

Hearing the female orc's voice, Kitapkurdu was suddenly startled, and the word came out of his mouth involuntarily.

"Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!"

In the silence that formed, the sound of metal hitting metal came six times. Then, the orc moving like lightning without taking the sack off his head spoke slowly.

"Sangre, calm down!"

When one student recognized her voice, how could the other not? Throwing knives were heading towards the throats of the guards bringing Nafız and Alyon. When all were neutralized in the blink of an eye, the Blood Warrior had to stop.

"Chief Alyon, is that you, sir!"

Kasaphaydo stood up and rushed towards the prisoner who hadn't moved from where he stood. Meanwhile, the guards crowding into the tent to receive praise were trying to understand what was happening.

"Unfortunately, it's me. You have tightened security quite a bit; congratulations!"

When Alyon finished his words, he shattered the purple alloy handcuffs squeezing his hands. Throwing away the piece of cloth on his head, he walked towards the place reserved for him.

"These all cost money; there is no need to waste them. Don't look like idiots; take these toys from my hands, boys!"

Nafız was still very calm; the journey had passed so boringly that she was quite pleased with the events. While the leader of the guards wanted to open the handcuff with the key in his hand, he couldn't hit the hole because he couldn't control his trembling.

"My child, if you try once more and can't open it, I'll make you eat these. Pull yourself together immediately and do as told!"

How could the unfortunate orc calm down after these words? His heart was leaping into his mouth thinking about what would happen to him if his luck didn't go well. Fortunately, he succeeded this time; the Blood God, freed from handcuffs, turned to Sangre still looking as sharp as a knife out of its sheath and said, "Sit!"

Her voice didn't come out loud; it didn't contain even a trace of anger, but those who heard it would have their hair stand on end.

"Chief Haydo, congratulations indeed. The attitude of your guards while doing their jobs is commendable!"

Among the orcs in the environment, the tribe chief was the most tense; he was practically sitting on pins and needles. What he heard relieved him a bit, but Nafız hadn't finished what she had to say.

"I had a lot of fun in the pits; it was a good idea. I wish everything had ended there and these orcs standing in front of me had reported the arrest they made to their superiors and left!"

'I wish' mostly opens the door to what is really meant to be said, and the guest arriving is never the expected person.

"Doing their duties wasn't enough for them; with the ambition of rank, they hid the event from their superiors. You know the results this will breed best, Kasaphaydo. You are someone who experienced in the most painful way with your warriors how secret plans can play with the fate of a tribe!"

Under her cheerful appearance, the Blood God spoke very heavily. When Kasaphaydo went back to the past for a moment, he came to the point of exploding with anger. He had already grabbed his twin axes he never separated from his side; it was obvious he took priority to cut the punishment.

"Chief, I am still the War Chief of this tribe. It falls to me to punish the people under my command!"

At the point reached, Sangre seemed like he wouldn't leave this pleasure to anyone; while preparing to rush from his place rapidly, a hand grabbed his shoulder.

"These are not warriors; they are logistics orcs on guard duty protecting the entrances. Since they are not part of the army, I cannot accept judgment being passed without my opinion being asked!"

When Kitapkurdu also got involved in the subject, Nafız smiled with pleasure. It was clear; a nice spectacle would emerge for her. Leaning her back slowly against her throne covered with wild animal fur, she left the stage to her subordinates.

"Kitapkurdu, Sangre, even if you are students of Blood God Nafız, I am the chieftain of this tribe. What is the meaning of speaking over my word!"

According to orcs, what the chief said counted as law; there was no turning back from the word coming out of his mouth. Sangre had neither the idea nor the enthusiasm to discuss these issues; he calmly stepped aside, and the square was left to the Tribe Chieftain and the Logistics Division Chief.

"Chief Kasaphaydo, let's assume you are right in what you say, but can you answer me this? Is there a guarantee that every decision of the chief will be correct?"

Master and student were returning him to the days he wanted to forget as if agreed upon. The orc with twin axes remembered his state leaving the tent that night again this time. No matter what he said, he couldn't convince Kızılayı; they had slowly drifted into disaster.

"Yes, to take the most correct decision always in matters where the fate of the tribe will be determined, there must be a consensus, but isn't the chief's authority enough for such small matters?"

"If the matter were small, we wouldn't need to kill enthusiastic orcs who just want to escape logistics and become warriors, right? My opinion is the punishment is too heavy; they haven't committed a crime deserving to lose their lives!"

Whatever Kasaphaydo was in war, Kitapkurdu was that in politics. The moment the business turned into a word race, the winner was clear.

"Tell me, son of Great Chief Alyon, if the chief's will is to be shared, will we have to gather such a council in every event!"

This question was good too. The old method was simple; a single person gave the decision and ensured the flow of life.

"You have improved yourself, Kasaphaydo; we are really very lucky that you manage this place. I want to give the answer to the question; since the time has come, tonight we will solve a problem that will trip us up in the future!"

The Blood God dived headfirst into the middle of the discussion. Both sides whose temperature had risen would have to retreat upon this move.

"I will tell you a story; you will listen to events taking place in another world, in a completely different time. Listen to what the child named Temüjin experienced after his father was poisoned and killed until he took the world into the palm of his hand!"

Nafız told the life of Genghis Khan at length to those listening to her with curiosity that night. When it came to the most glorious times of the empire he established, the Blood God suddenly stopped.

"I ask you, how could this person manage such large lands? He wouldn't be everywhere all the time, right?"

Whether it was because the story was cut at the best part or because they didn't know the answer, everyone froze. They looked at each other blankly for a while; the most astonished ones were the guards who were excited to be in the same environment with legendary people even though they feared death at any moment.

"I think they had determined some things that everyone knew and had to be applied everywhere!"

The answer would be given by Kitapkurdu again; even if he knew everything, he just couldn't name it.

"Rules! We must set laws determined beforehand, mandatory to follow, requiring punishment otherwise. Everyone, even in the smallest orc unit, will know these; despite this, those who do not comply will accept what happens to them!"

The proposal was very logical; what was wondered was what these rules were.

"Since there are so many similarities between the experiences of the man you described and the history of our continent, I am sure the laws he set will be useful for us too!"

Alyon had assumed a strange mood after listening to the life of Genghis Khan. Even if he didn't want to show it, he couldn't hide that he got extremely fired up; such an example of success filled him with ambition.

"We can easily apply many laws. Especially, we will implement all of those related to the army!"

The Blood God had reservations on some issues; since there was no such thing as family life among orcs, they had to skip some rules. It was very difficult to change the water usage methods applied in the Sacred Lands and all tribes.

"We will not get these words out of our minds; listen to me well!"

Perhaps the most important for them were these words that would come out of Nafız's mouth in a moment.

"For want of a nail, a horseshoe was lost.

For want of a horseshoe, a horse was lost.

For want of a horse, a rider was lost.

For want of a rider, a message was lost.

For want of a message, a battle was lost.

And for want of a battle, a kingdom was lost."
