Chapter 94 - Doksan Dört

"Ma'am, how can you be so sure?"

Although the Young Lord seriously considered this possibility, there was still a small question mark in his mind.

"You were born and raised here, in a small port city, Marcos; my life passed with talk of external powers, allow us to know that much!"

Nafız was letting her experiences from her first life speak. The child in front of her had started life on easy mode due to his family's position; he hadn't been born on normal and continued on hard like her.

During the duo's chat, the security of the three noble families was never mentioned because everyone was very comfortable since Nafız ensured this with the orcs in their tribes. The orcs taking the bodyguard duty owed them a life debt each.

As the sun's rays slowly lost their scorching heat, Kübey entered the room with a notebook in her hand. It was obvious from the pleased expression on her face that she had handled her job.

"Commander, I have completed the interrogation of the person you brought. I have learned that there are issues we need to take urgent precautions for!"

After extending the notebook she held in her hand to Nafız, the leader of the bodyguard group continued her words.

"Many people who lost their old positions and incomes with your ascension to power have united to use their authorities in various institutions. Their biggest supporter is the Black Lily Clan connected to the former Lord!"

Marcos involuntarily turned to the female orc next to him; he had guessed what happened from the identity of the captured man.

"Go on!"

The Blood God already knew their goals; what she needed to learn was the enemy's plan of action.

"Moving silently and deeply, they are preparing for a time they call Liberation Day. I was able to learn that they are waiting for the time our tribe will leave the city and attack the third orc region!"

The plan was simple; the orcs currently everywhere would surely leave, and they thought they could suppress the few remaining warriors. Once they captured the city, they wouldn't lose Parthenia, which withstood a siege for almost eight moon cycles, to orcs again. Also, the Black Lily Clan had promised to give them the necessary help via sea.

"Very good; if I'm not mistaken, the people in the organization and their names are written here. Let's see who we have?"

The list was like a Champions League draw; big merchants, high-level commanders in the Parthenia army, artisans from the local people, all had come together. Since weapon entry and exit from customs gates were prohibited, the rebels planning to use some of the local blacksmiths seemed to have succeeded in this regard.

"Kübey, send some of your subordinates to the three noble families and Chief Alyon immediately; we will gather secretly tonight. I expect everyone at the Agustus gladiator school!"

Nafız thought every household was being watched. Therefore, she chose a place currently inactive and asked for disguises while coming.

Everyone would follow the given instructions to the letter. Orcs and noble family members arrived at the desired place without being seen by anyone using various tricks.

"Nafız, what is going through your mind? I hope it is not one of your bad jokes!"

Whatever he thought when he first received the news, Alyon was still of the same opinion. According to him, what happened must be the product of his friend's strange sense of humor.

"This time the business is very serious! There is an opposing structure inside the city, and its branches have extended to many places!"

After the words, the looks of those present became serious. When Kübey, whom she pointed out, conveyed the information obtained from the interrogation to them, their expressions would turn thoroughly ugly. Although there was no danger for the orcs, it was certain they would lose a trade city when they left this place.

"What will we do, Nafız? The situation is a double-edged sword!"

This situation was new for both sides. Neither orcs nor humans had an idea coming to mind. Here, the movies the Blood God watched and the books she read in her previous life would come into play.

"We will start the job by evacuating the orcs from the city!"

What did this mean? Although humans couldn't speak out of fear, Alyon had no intention of giving up the city in his hands.

"The moment we leave here, we will lose both the city and our allies. How can you think of such a thing!"

After the chief's harsh outburst, Nafız raised a single eyebrow leaning back in the chair she sat on.

"I guess I should wait until my student arrives; there is no use talking to you. Since you don't possess sufficient intelligence, you can't even think of listening to the end of the sentence!"

They faced an organization that gripped the city like a tree. With simple methods, it was only possible to prune its branches. If you wanted to uproot it, more sophisticated solutions were needed.

"Ma'am, we really would like to hear your thoughts; we still commemorate the plan with which we got rid of Astute with admiration!"

Niko intervened. While the fear of losing the city he was born and lived in forever surrounded him, he didn't care about his position. Although the orc's ideas seemed outlandish, their results always achieved success.

"Okay, if I get interrupted one more time, you will have to put your heads together and think!

Outside, we have an army of fifty thousand, and I assume their camps are under strict surveillance. This will be the most important point for us. Tomorrow at sunrise, tunnels will start to be dug under the tents.

While this work is being done, they will continue their normal lives. A large arena will be built so that no trade caravan passes near them; we will organize fighting festivals!"

Since there was a possibility that orcs could lose control at any moment once they started fighting, people who couldn't protect themselves usually stayed away from such places.

"The small tunnels opened will merge with a large one below and reach the city's shelters. As many orcs as the number of warriors leaving the city will wait here for the day they will act!"

Many people could be caught and executed with the information given by the man in interrogation, but this method would drive the mole deeper and could draw the intense reaction of the public unaware of everything.

"What do you say, groom? Can you handle this job?"

When Nafız directed her question to Çekiçdöven watching the surroundings with surprised eyes, she was grinning wickedly. The young commander was in shock; if he could have thought of this plan himself, he wouldn't have needed to continue the siege in front of the ramparts for all that time.

"Of course, ma'am! You can trust us! Before five day-cycles pass, everything you want will be finished!"

"Three, I give you only three days! This is the time required for you to prove that the Glacial Region orcs are not paper tigers!"

"Yes, ma'am!"

Çekiçdöven was a type who got riled up quickly; facing a challenge, the blood in his veins would start flowing faster. He could barely stand still; he needed to go and start work immediately.

"Marcos, no need to worry about your life. As long as Kübey is with you, sooner or later you will be able to reach your old position!"

When Nafız spoke to encourage the City Lord whom she saw uneasy, the young man lifted his head from the ground and looked at her.

"I'm not going anywhere. No matter how bad the aim of the traitors is, they are right in some things they say. This position was presented to me on a silver platter; I did nothing to earn it. Now is the time to prove myself to myself; I don't intend to run from the struggle!"

The words of Marcos, the young master of the Cervantes family and also the City Lord, made his father smile the most.

"I want to discuss the details of the plan with my students when they arrive too. For now, everyone will continue doing whatever they were doing before!"
